Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 343: Adam Steele! Father!?
"Master!!! Let go of Master!!"
"Cass…"
Bella, Yimin, and Flora felt their hearts constrict. Even Hellion, who possessed the deepest connection with Cassius, could be seen pensively staring up into the stars from Earth.
"Young Cass…" Count Sayzer couldn’t stop the guilt from surfacing, for the blame was his to bear. ’I never should’ve come alone; even if the Duke was preoccupied, I should’ve requested the King’s…—’
Just then:
SHING!
SPURT!

Everyone’s eyes widened at the incomprehensible sight before them.
An Entity nearing the rank above the Transcendent Rank lost an arm!
Looking down, the Dissonant Fleet General emotionlessly appraised the current condition of his right arm. After realizing that the injury wouldn’t heal so easily, he turned up, where he saw a Japanese man.
He had long, wildly flowing black hair and ferocious eyes veiled behind sparse bangs. His frame was bulky but not to the point of being considered a bodybuilder, yet his muscles were defined enough to put him at the epitome of the human form. In contrast, his baggy, cut-up robe and straw hat gave him a vagrant, wanderer feel.
The Dissonant Fleet General noticed the change in Selena and Cremel’s expressions and pretty much pieced things together.
"So you’re the Floor Guardian of Humanity’s 0th Floor," he stated. "If the reports are correct, then you’re some sort of stand-in for the original Floor Guardian. A Floor Guardian you developed romantic feelings for; you even had a higher Entity create this place to keep her safe. It’s unfortunate that things didn’t quite work as expected, what with those other Higher Entities taking her away from you."
The Japanese man’s frown deepened.
"You’re probably wondering how I know so much, aren’t you?" asked the Dissonant Fleet General. "Well, I can only tell you that our capabilities extend far beyond your wildest imaginations. And though I will lose here, we will never stop coming—"
BOOOM!
A punch!
"Be quiet," the Japanese man coldly uttered, his right fist drenched in the blood of the Dissonant Fleet General. "Hearing you speak has given me a migraine."
Directing his focus elsewhere, the Japanese man raised his hands and pulled upon several powerful presences.
Less than a second later, dozens of extremely powerful EX-rank Dissonants were pulled out of their ships—bursting through metal mainframes—before struggling in place in front of the Japanese man.
"Let go of us right this instant, human!!"
POP!
"Silence."
One word.
All froze.
POP! POP! POP!
Then they exploded like popped balloons!
The difference in power was overwhelming! Far too great for resistance to be possible!
"Father…"
Cassius now had full control over his body, but the broad back of the invincible figure before him made him forget all about that fact.
’Father!?’
Mouths were left agape when he said that. Many then looked where he was looking, only to have their emotions surge even more uncontrollably.
The one slaughtering Peak Transcendents like they were chickens was actually the father of Cassius Steele—the strongest human of Humanity’s 0th Floor!?
Cassius Steele was the son of the Floor Guardian!?
After killing the strongest among the Dissonants, Adam Steele stared at Selena, Cremel, and the rest of the Dissonants hiding away in their big metal tin-cans.
They shuddered, fearing for their lives.
’How did we not know the target’s father was this strong!?’ Selena questioned in disbelief. ’The Mothership knows all, so does that mean it specifically left out this information on purpose!?’
Things weren’t making any sense!
Scoffing at all the cowardly weaklings, Adam Steele whipped his head to face his son. "They’re all yours to do with as you see fit," he said. "You can take them, can you not?"
Although still reeling in shock, at the mention of all the glorious Lootbags, Cassius’s lips curved into a devilish smirk. "Are you sure I can have them?"
Adam revealed a toothy grin; for some reason, he was relieved to see the creepy expression his son was making. "Of course. Consider this my first gift for you."
After a brief pause, Adam clenched a fist and closed the Spatial Crack hanging high above.
Escape was now deemed impossible!
"Go—devour them," said Adam. "Feed the Abyss."
"Hahaha, I like you already, ol’ Father o’ mine!" Cassius deliriously laughed, his aura raging to the extremes. "You should’ve come back with the milk a lot sooner!!"
Fwooop!
He blurred.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Tunnels were dug through dozens of Dissonant Spaceships as Cassius zipped through them, destroying their infrastructure and killing everyone inside. And all while wearing a grin that extended to both his ears.
Crazy laughter resounded while explosions went off all over the spatial battlefront.
Selena, Cremel, Bella, Flora, Count Sayzer, and everyone else simply watched with blank expressions. They were unable to even so much as make a peep in the face of the development of recent events.
Selena and Cremel wanted to make a move to defend their Fleet, but with the haunting presence of the terrifying Japanese man watching with his arms folded, they were stagnated. Even the Mothership itself wouldn’t be able to get them to go against that indescribable monster in human skin.
Never would they have expected a creature like that to be hiding among the puny humans!
— Some time later —
The once mighty and imposing fleet of Dissonant Spaceships was reduced to little more than a graveyard. Scrap and the remains of Dissonant Kaijus and Humanoids were scattered about, with no signs of life anywhere.
The entire Dissonant Fleet—annihilated!
FWIP!
Cassius’s grin was as wide as could be while hearing the System dings bombard his eardrums. He sang a soulful tune while sweeping the battlefield for any Loot.
After collecting the spoils of war, he reappeared next to his father.
"You did good, kiddo," said Adam Steele, a proud gleam in his gaze. "You grew stronger from this, did you not?"
"Yep, well…" Cassius hesitated. "Kinda; it’s complicated. But I’ll definitely see the gains from this at some point."
Adam Steele pursed his lips, a bit puzzled. He didn’t know all the specifics of his son’s growth talent, and he felt it to be inappropriate to ask.
However, what he did know for certain was that Cassius’s potential was as limitless as an Abyss…
An endlessly deep and unfathomable Abyss.
