*Thud! Thud!*

Thrown against a hard stone wall, the Demon Kings coughed up blood.

Unconsciously, they looked up, only to see obsidian-shaded chains flailing down from above. Those same chains wrapped tightly around them, lifting their meat-potato-like bodies high into the air.

"D-Do you know who we are…!?" Andromalius roared through bloodied teeth. "When the other Demon Kings discover what you and that scum human have done, they will—"

"They won't do anything."

"???" "???"

A voice carried through the dark, enclosed space they were in. It belonged to another limbless Demon King—one whose eyes had long since lost their fire.

"Y… You are…" Andromalius's bloodshot eyes widened in surprise, his words failing him.

"Demon King Decarabia!?" Seer exclaimed. "Wh-What happened to you…!?"

"The same thing that happened to you," Decarabia replied, his voice bereft of hope. "This is the result of going against that monster—the Grand Savior. Desolation."

A faint glow suddenly blazed, lighting up the dark space for the three newly captured Demon Kings to see. Hovering high above them like an indifferent god was the Shadow Herald, and strung about by obsidian chains like lifeless husks were what used to be proud, arrogant Demon Kings.

That was when the severity of their situation fully settled in.

This was the end for them, wasn't it…?

"N-No… This can't be…!!"

Zooming out, the unwilling shouts of Andromalius, Seer, and Dandelion grew quieter and quieter.

Until eventually, once outside the dreadful interior of the 1st Tower of Babylon, their cries could no longer be heard.

The demons on the 2nd Floor of HELL knew of the Tower's existence and its purpose, but they had no knowledge of the suffering endured by those trapped inside.

Yet, with widespread prosperity on the rise in HELL, no demon on the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th Floors hardly cared about the fossils of the past. Under new, superior leadership, they were thriving. It was to the point that even the once die-hard loyalists of the Demon Kings couldn't bear to look at a portrait of their former leaders.

In a matter of weeks, Cassius Steele and his Legion of Evomon had not only dominated the Floors of HELL but also indoctrinated them.

However, that wasn't the only thing he had been up to in preparation for the upcoming Tournament of Yggdrasil…

— Within the depths of the 5th Monster Paradise, in the Land of Monsters —

The Floors of Humanity and HELL were dubbed "Floors" because it made the most sense, but in the Land of Monsters, each Floor was termed a "Paradise." And like a multi-layered cake, the Paradises were stacked one atop the other, with the larger Paradises positioned lower on the metaphorical cake.

Dimensional Barriers separated the Paradises. However, similar to how it worked in HELL, all one had to do to ascend to a higher Paradise was either receive permission from a residing Monster Monarch or kill them and seize the figurative dimensional keys.

Cassius, who had been taking many detours as of late, obviously chose the option that yielded the most benefits.

That brought us to a different topic.

The Monster Monarchs.

Each Paradise had a few, and each represented a fundamental aspect of the world—Nature, Fire, Speed, Gravity, and a plethora of other aspects.

Today, in particular, was the day Cassius—while riding atop Raijin's lightning-imbued head—encroached upon the territory of the last remaining Monster Monarch of the 5th Paradise.

Yimin, clinging to his back, giddily swung her tail around while nibbling on his neck. With Hellion overseeing matters in HELL while he was here, there was no one reliable enough to keep her in check.

"Master, Mashter! Yimin's hungry again!" she whined, rubbing her bloody mouth all over him. "Good yummers this way…!?"

Silence…

"Mashter…! Shtop ignoring Yimin!" she grumbled, nibbling him more aggressively. "Yimin will num nums you if you keep ignoring her, grrr!"

As one could clearly tell, despite the passage of time, the silver-haired draconic yandere beauty was still as mentally underdeveloped as ever. However, Cassius, distracted by a mental transmission from one of his Shadow Heralds, hardly had the mental capacity to respond to his troublesome companion.

'So those three finally returned,' he thought. 'And now they've reunited with their kindred—eternally bound together in unbreakable chains.'

What could be more poetic than this?

His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden appearance of a massive palace in the distance. It stood on multiple thin, pointy bones that jutted from the remains of an unknown colossal monster. Blood trickled down the sides of the palace and the bones, giving the eerie structure an ominous feel.

"Yummers in there!?" Yimin erupted in glee, licking her lips voraciously. "Don't worry, Master, Yimins will be the vanguard and make sure everything is safe in there for you—"

"No."

Cassius's rejection was followed by a swift karate chop to her head.

"Even though you've become increasingly more powerful over time—with even some Transcendents unable to match you—you're still too weak. I don't know why I have to keep telling you this."

Sniffling, Yimin pouted. "B-But Master, the Yummers…!"

*Bonk!*

"Hush," Cassius ordered. "You and that stomach of yours will get you killed. Rather than get yourself a Yummers, you'll become the Yummers."

"!!!"

"Yimin becomes the Yummers…!?" Her eyes widened in horror. Then, strangely, she became bashful, blushing and swinging her tail around sheepishly. "Well, if it's for you, Master, then I don't mind being your Yummers—"

*Bonk!*

"Shut up and sit back there with Nyxvoldar."

Cassius's word was final.

With a pouty expression, Yimin sulked as she walked toward the quiet, shadowy figure sitting at the tail section of Raijin. Though, when he sensed her approaching, beads of sweat appeared on Nyxvoldar's face before rolling down in cold dread.

He tried backing away, but Yimin moved too fast.

Grabbing him by his clanky armor, she stopped him in his tracks.

"...."

"Where do you think you're going?" Yimin's terrifying expression peaked over Nyxvoldar's shoulder. "Since Master said Yimin can't get the Yummers, Yimin will just have to settle for venting on you. So tell Yimin, Shadowman, where do you want to get punched?"

Please, no! Have mercy—

*Pow!*
