Although Rain's thinking sounded logical, Sealyn's first few attacks showed that she could use brute strength as well… things wouldn't be as simple as sealing a few of her weapons and techniques.

In any case, Sealyn studied Rain for a while while showing her poker face… she didn't look disappointed that her combination only caused that much damage. Instead, she decided to see that as a success since Rain didn't have the chance to repay much of the damage caused.

All of a sudden, both of them charged in at the same time to the center of the ring… and then they bombarded each other with palm strikes. They blocked their attacks completely, so the sound of impacts echoed like rain in the arena… Still, Rain couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows… he was quite sure that Sealyn could be faster than that.

While Rain was thinking along those lines, Sealyn suddenly kicked his left leg amidst all those palm strikes, and he flinched a bit thanks to the pain… he was caught entirely off guard. In that short window of time, Sealyn fixed her stance and then jumped and attacked Rain with her left knee… he was forced to block it with both of his hands, but he still pushed backward.

"Her movements are insanely fluid, to the point that I can barely read her lines of attack," Rain thought. "It is almost like she had the same idea a long time ago."

Truth be told, Rain wanted his moves to be as fast and as fluid as Sealyn… all in order to make his enemies have a hard time avoiding or defending them. That was why he was creating those combos… but it seemed that his daughter accomplished that a long time ago, but she wasn't thinking as big as him, and that was why she didn't know how to overwhelm him yet.

"I can't deny her talent," Rain thought when he landed. "Still, thanks to her mother's side, she has a bit more water on her body than humans, so perhaps that helped her learn this and that she got satisfied with the results…. that is no good."

While Rain was feeling troubled, Sealyn charged toward Rain again and then launched a right straight. Rain blocked the attack with his forearms together with a cross guard, but as soon as he lowered his guard to attack, another right straight came…

"What the…" Rain thought while opening his eyes widely.

Rain felt his body shaking thanks to the continuous impact. Somehow, he managed to block three of those one after the other, but his left arm was left throbbing… the bone probably cracked a bit. It was insane for a person to attack three times in a row with straight punches like that…

The impacts pushed Rain backward, and Sealyn studied him once more before doing anything else. She furrowed her eyebrows when she saw Rain smiling, and his smile eventually turned into a grin. She knew that her father was a weirdo, but not to that point, the point where he would enjoy pain.

Sealyn was well aware of her own strengths and weaknesses. Despite lacking real brute strength without her trusty spear, did you get it? Trus-ty spear? Her fighting style more than compensated for it. She had mastered the art of fluid movements, making it challenging for opponents to predict or counter her attacks.

Sealyn understood that her prowess in combat relied heavily on finesse and agility rather than sheer strength.

Observing Rain's fighting style, Sealyn acknowledged that he, too, was a skilled fighter. Still, she also recognized a significant difference in their physical capabilities. Even though Rain had spent around a hundred years without actively engaging in combat, Sealyn estimated that he was at least twenty percent weaker than her.

This didn't escape her keen perception, and she attributed it to the toll time had taken on his body.

Sealyn, however, wasn't underestimating Rain. She knew that his strength lay in his strategic thinking, experience, and unique ability to endure punishment. Having heard numerous stories about Rain's legendary resilience and tenacity, she believed that his ability to take a beating was a genuine asset.

It was a quality she respected, even if she found her father's apparent enjoyment of pain a bit worrisome. Hopefully, that wouldn't be a family trait.

In her mind, Sealyn could only imagine the kind of battles and challenges Rain had faced throughout his long and storied life. Despite the physical gap between them, she understood that Rain's strength went beyond mere muscle power, and she approached their match with a healthy dose of respect for the seasoned warrior standing before her.

"I guess I will have to use everything that I learned in spades here," Rain thought while looking at Sealyn. "Forgive your old man for having this kind of pride, but I can't be beaten by the next generation just yet."

All of a sudden, Rain charged in, and Sealyn raised his guard since it was the first time he tried to take the upper hand in the battle. As if that wasn't strange enough, he suddenly jumped and then moved his body, propelling himself toward her right his right leg targeting her head.

It had been a literal straight kick, so Sealyn easily dodged that. When she turned around, she saw Rain almost stopping in the air as he kicked it. As soon as he landed, he turned around and then charged toward her with his arms almost completely down. Once more, he jumped, but only a little bit, before spinning his body and then targeting her head once more with a sidekick.

Sealyn lowered her posture and then avoided the hit, but soon Rain spun in the air and attacked the same way… this time, Sealyn was forced to block the attack. The impact was heavy, and Sealyn was pushed away from her initial position… for a kick in the air that had a lot of power…
