Chapter 1464: His job

After sleeping for a couple of hours, Rain woke up with some ideas. While he didn’t want to do something reckless and treat Reed like a test subject, he wondered what would happen if he made the kid learn the skills that would increase his mana, health, and stamina regeneration. It might not make him stronger, but it should make him incredibly healthy. Rain didn’t recall a single time that he got sick, after all.

"Perhaps I shouldn’t... he will gain all of our knowledge, eventually, after all," Rain thought. "Hopefully, he won’t have to use it since by the time he can fight, the universe will be more peaceful and free of threats."

In the end, Rain went to check things with Hardt and Loar, and they were already studying their techniques to pass on to the others. While he waited for that, Rain considered what other kind of abilities he could come up with using Void and Space. For some reason, he only had ideas that followed the same kind of logic of the Level Up and Level Down skills. Game-like skills... However, he would need the power of the other aspects to make those skills possible.

"I guess I will just have to check both paths and see what I can cook with them," Rain thought.

Lvl 15: Void Tendrils - Manifests tendrils of darkness from the abyssal void, capable of ensnaring and immobilizing foes with chilling tendrils of nothingness. Higher levels increase the durability of the skill.

Level 15: Spatial Distortion - Deepen your understanding of spatial manipulation with Spatial Distortion, allowing you to bend and warp the fabric of space itself. This skill grants you the ability to create localized distortions, altering the geometry of the environment to your advantage.

"This one can be useful..." Rain thought.

Rain began to work on it, and after a couple of hours, he finally got the results that he wanted.

Level 10: Absolute Chains: Immediately bind the target with void chains that can’t be destroyed unless their core is destroyed. You can put the core anywhere you want within a distance that is equal to the level of the skill multiplied by one thousand kilometers.

That skill was pretty good for binding fast enemies... it was impossible to dodge, too, since it used the power of space to target the enemy no matter what and stop their movements. The void part of the spell can’t be targeted since its existence was connected to the core of the chains.

Rain nodded to himself in satisfaction since the Cosmic path was taking shape, but he still didn’t feel like it was enough. He also wanted other types of skills; crowd control skills were fine and all, but not his style.

"I guess I am too focused on offense to a fault..." Rain said. freewēbnoveℓ.com

"Isn’t that fine? The faster and harder you attack the enemy, the less damage you will take," Elisabetha said.

"That is almost like the logic of children," Rain thought.

"Rain, we are ready," Loar suddenly said.

"That was fast... even if you could use Magic Sacrifice now," Rain said and then headed to his pocket dimension.

Loar and Hardt looked ready and confident... their aura didn’t show anything off either, so they weren’t planning to cause trouble by doing anything stupid now that they would leave the pocket dimension when they didn’t have to fight. They probably knew that Rain would make them taste hell very slowly if they did anything stupid.

"Wait a minute..." Rain said.

Rain found himself at a crossroads, torn between his desire to increase the strength of his allies and his concern for Sealyn’s well-being. He saw an opportunity to leverage Loar and Hardt’s expertise to teach everyone the next level of the Origin Punch. This technique could significantly enhance their basic parameters and combat effectiveness. It was a strategic move that could tip the scales in their favor against their formidable adversaries.

However, Rain couldn’t ignore the implications of such a decision, particularly when it came to Sealyn. He knew that introducing a new level of training would only fuel her already insatiable drive to improve, pushing her to further extremes in pursuit of strength. While he admired her determination, he also recognized the dangers of overexertion and burnout, especially considering her recent childbirth.

The thought of Sealyn pushing herself beyond her limits, sacrificing her own well-being in the relentless pursuit of power, weighed heavily on Rain’s mind. He couldn’t bear the idea of his plans inadvertently putting her at risk or exacerbating her already intense training regimen.

"I suppose it can’t be helped..." Rain said. "We need her strength, after all."

Rain couldn’t deny that in terms of raw potential, Sealyn possessed a formidable advantage over him. Her innate talents and relentless drive to improve had always set her apart, making her a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Yet, despite her undeniable strengths, Rain found himself in a unique position of strength, one that he had achieved through his own trials and tribulations.

Recent events had forced Rain to confront challenges and obstacles that had tested his resolve like never before. His journey had shaped him into a stronger, more resilient individual, one who was willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good. And now, as he worked tirelessly to benefit the entire path system, Rain found himself standing on the precipice of greatness, poised to make a lasting impact on the world around him.

It was a realization that filled Rain with a sense of pride and determination. He had come a long way since his humble beginnings, and now, as he looked to the future, he knew that he had the power to shape the destiny of the path system itself. It was a responsibility that he didn’t take lightly, one that drove him to push himself harder than ever before.

Sealyn would be fine as long as Rain keeps doing his job of getting the attention of the enemies to himself.
