Chapter 1482: The other battle

The spirits began to combine in the sky in the until they become like massive clouds that were rotating around themselves. Before long, the entire planet began to shake, and the people of the group that were leaving the pocket dimension had a hard time keeping their stances.

As Rain’s companions watched in horror, the mana of the planet was forcefully ripped from its very core, like a violent extraction of lifeblood from a wounded beast. The energy surged upwards, defying gravity’s pull as it ascended into the sky, swirling and coalescing into a monstrous form of ethereal proportions.

The air crackled with otherworldly energy as the mana took shape, its outline shifting and contorting as if struggling to contain the sheer power coursing through its form. But what truly sent shivers down the spines of all who witnessed it was the realization that the mana was not alone.

Mixed within its luminous tendrils were the spectral visages of countless spirits, their incorporeal forms merging seamlessly with the swirling energy. It was a haunting sight as if some unseen force had twisted and corrupted the very essence of the planet itself.

For a moment, silence reigned as everyone took in the enormity of what was unfolding before them. It was a scene straight out of a nightmare, a grotesque fusion of mana and spirits that defied comprehension.

"It looks like this battle will be pretty weird..." Jori said when he left the pocket dimension.

"Focus on doing your jobs as we had discussed!" Roan shouted. "Group one, wait for the chances to attack and wait for your leaders! Group two, be ready to defend against any attacks! Group three, be ready to..."

Before Roan could finish his sentences, the monster amalgamation above took the shape of a weird, long vehicle. It looked like one that the group had seen in the junkyard... but soon, the creature began to fly in circles and bombard them with small-scale mana cannons.

The second group, as Roan had ordered, raised their hands and summoned countless mana shields to block the attacks. When they were destroyed, many others immediately took their place. The atmosphere began to quake and shake with all those attacks, but surprisingly enough, no one on their side was hurt.

"Follow my lead!" Sealyn said and then raised her spear.

Some people almost groaned... Sealyn was only to show up a bit later, but she ended up coming outside sooner since she was too impatient. As soon as the creature slowed down on the attacks, Sealyn fired a powerful blast of water at it, and it actually hit it, making the five-hundred-meter thing shake for a bit.

The others of her group also followed her lead and began to shoot countless ice spears, lightning bolts, and fire cannons toward the creature... during the whole time the spells lasted, the monster was unable to do a single thing, and eventually, it began to fall apart.

The skill limit Breaker leveled up.

The skill Magic Boost leveled up.

...

"Woooooooaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"

Everyone cheered loudly as they watched the weird creature falling apart in the sky and turning into nothing... but Roan and Sealyn looked at each other and just shook their heads... Before long, the spirits in the sky began to converge once, and this time, they transformed into two amalgamations of energy and then began to such the energy from the planet to create their physical body... the first squad raised their hands and began to block the attacks the massive creatures launched at them.

"This won’t work. It should be obvious to you..." Maxime said.

"They will just keep increasing in numbers, right?" Roan asked. "What should we do, then? It is too soon to show our cards. Still, things will get out of hand if we hesitate."

"Don’t ask me; you are the one who knows the abilities of everyone here and what they can do," Maxime said.

"... if we can’t show all of our skills, we can show some of them," Roan said, and then he looked at Seadir. "Let’s do this."

"All right..." Seadrei said.

Seadrei wasn’t sure if that strategy would work for long, but it was better for them to take the lead instead of letting the enemy dictate the flow of the battle...

In the end, they lowered their stances and then raised their weapons... no one noticed what was happening since they were busy blocking the attacks of those weird creatures, but soon, the atmosphere began to change, and they began to notice that something was off. Before they could notice what was happening, Seadrei and Roan attacked.

In the next moment, a powerful impact happened, and then the beasts in the sky shook and stopped attacking... the group prepared to attack immediately, but then those two beasts began to fall apart. Before long, people like Sealyn, Isa, and Dana looked at Roan and Seadir and soon saw their arms completely messed up.

The skill Origin Strike received 50.000 experience points.

The skill Origin Thrust received 50.000 experience points.

"It was too soon for this..." Sealyn said. "I didn’t do this for a while, but you should know that I am the leader here, and I need to punish those who don’t follow my commands. Still, with your arms like that, it seems enough punishment."

"Ugh... this is worse than I thought," Roan said while sweating cold. "Iori, we need to receive treatment from Terra."

"I wish that I could say that I can endure this much, but..." Seadrei said.

"Iori, take those two and..." Sealyn said.

"Bring Jori, Reca, and Danny to take our place. They will know what they have to do," Roan said.

Iori followed the orders and did exactly that... at the same time, the next three beasts appeared in the sky and Those three knew what they have to do.

"Are we going to do this for long?" Jori asked while raising his eyebrows.

"At least we will get a shit ton of experience," Reca added.
