Chapter 1529: The next level

At some point, Rain got tired of that.... understanding the enemy’s skills was fine and all, but he was simply tired of Lonos’ games. The look in his Rain’s face disappeared and then through his swollen eyes, he showed his tired and angry expression.... Lonos thought that it would be easy to read his future now, but that wasn’t the case.

In the next moment, Rain had his face almost smashed, and some blood and teeth escaped from his lips, but almost at the same time, he appeared in front of Lonos and kicked his stomach.

Lonos’ body bent forward a bit as the pain made him frown. Rain’s attack power was still lacking, but his reaction speed was still quite surprising.

"That wasn’t half bad... What else do you have? Trading blows won’t end up well to the one who has the least endurance. You should know considering your experience."

Rain ignored those words and then just looked at Lonos with his tired and angry expression... in the next moment, Rain appeared in front of the enemy again and then launched a barrage of punches that forced Lonos to move his arms and block all of them.

The surface of the planet shook in response to those attacks, and it looked like the atmosphere was quivering as well... still, Lonos blocked all of them with ease... even while he was blocking, he hit Rain’s face with his elbow... it was another conceptual attack, but it just moved Rain’s head to the side for a bit.

"Huh?"

"Surprised?" Rain asked and then smiled. "You should have studied something called logic when it comes to fighting. It would have helped you."

A glint of sharpness appeared in Lonos’ eyes, and he decided to go all out using his technique... Rain began to have his face bombarded with punches, but he ignored them all and kept attacking Lonos at the same time.

In the end, it was unavoidable that Rain would keep losing the exchange, and then his body was pushed backward, but Lonos lost the psychological war by losing his cool when his face got hit, and the pain made him feel annoyed... his anger clouded his mind as well, without making him realize the mistake that he was doing.

Lonos stopped attacking when he felt the temporal aspect on him growing stronger, and then he finally realized what was happening... even if he couldn’t steal a lot of information during the attacks, Rain still could steal a bit and thanks to the frequency of Lonos attacks, that happened.

"You shouldn’t lose your cool," Rain said and then tried to smile.

Rain’s face was completely swollen, and his voice was muffled as well, so Lonos didn’t even realize his sarcasm. Still, it gave him room to realize the problem of the previous exchange. Even to some extent, his conceptual attacks followed some rules. A normal punch would lose some power when the target was too close, and that was exactly what happened to Lonos’ attacks. When Rain got too close, they would lose a bit of power...

"You found a way to deal with my technique. What about it? Do you think that you are ready for the next level?" ƒrēenovelkiss.com

"Who knows?" Rain said as his face swollen began to disappear. "There is only one way to find out. This might look like a self-deprecating comment, but I like that I have the tenacity of a cockroach."

"Really? I guess we can test that, then."

Lonos raised his right fist for the first time instead of just keeping his nonsensical stance. His fist began to glow and glow with more power, so Rain could tell that something big was coming... in the end, he began to sweat cold because he felt something familiar about that technique.

When the fist stopped glowing, Rain was hit... as usual, he didn’t even see the attack, but it hit him like a truck... his limbs were torn from his body, and he was sent flying in the distance... he crossed three thousand kilometers in a single instant... the enemy used his own version of Origin Punch.

After hitting the ground, Rain felt that he was choking on his own blood... he couldn’t even use his hands or legs to stop the motion since he stopped then... the pain was agonizing. He never thought that he would feel like the red star had been pretty warm to him if compared to that punch.

The pain surged through Rain’s body like a relentless tide, consuming every fiber of his being with an intensity that defied description. Every breath was agony, each heartbeat a cruel reminder of the trauma inflicted upon him. It was as though every single organ had been subjected to a relentless barrage of punishment, each one screaming out in protest against the endless wave of pain.

His lungs burned with each breath, a searing sensation that threatened to overwhelm him with its intensity. The sharp, stabbing pain radiated from his chest with every inhalation, spreading like tendrils of fire throughout his body.

His heart throbbed with a rhythm of agony, each beat sending waves of torment coursing through his veins. It felt as though his chest had been torn asunder, the muscles and sinews stretched beyond their limits by the force of the attack.

His stomach churned with nausea, a sickening sensation that twisted and writhed within him like a serpent coiled in his gut. The relentless waves of pain threatened to overwhelm him, driving him to the brink of consciousness with their unrelenting ferocity.
