Chapter 1534: Bad news

The unyielding grip of the gravity spell showed no mercy, and with each passing moment, the situation grew more dire. Aware of the impending danger, everyone knew that they had to fight on with grim determination, pushing themselves to their limits.

While everyone was thinking of what they should do, an ominous feeling suddenly made everyone feel shivers. They couldn’t tell what had happened, but it felt like something bad happened... and they could only imagine that something had happened to Rain.

"Shit..." Roan clenched his teeth. "I don’t have time for this... we don’t have time for this... Maxime! It is time to go all out. We will destroy that thing even if we have to die for it."

"I would rather not do anything this insane without knowing the results clearly," Maxime said. "If we try out hardest, we can probably destroy one of the sides of the enemy, but I can’t guarantee anything else."

"Do it!" Roan said. "Sakaki, use our attack to find where the shield is."

"That will be difficult..." Sakaki said.

"I will follow Father in law and that should help," Seara declared. "Isn’t it your speciality to gather data?"

"Why do you have to say it like that..." Sakaki said and then sighed. "Terra, he is ready to heal them as soon as they attack because this will be nasty.’

"Leave it to me," Terra said.

Roan and Seara nodded at each other and then began to charge their weapons with all of their power... people like Seadrei, Jori and Branden felt a bit conflicted while looking at that. They wanted to take Seara place thanks to their male pride and because they knew the next attack would be pretty nasty... still, they didn’t have the best weapons for the job.

After using almost all of their energy, Roan teleported in front of Fortus, and then Seara followed him.

Roan swung his hammer with incredible speed, the flames engulfing the weapon blazing so fiercely that they seemed to rival the intensity of the sun itself. The swing was so swift and powerful that it was nearly imperceptible, a blur of motion as Roan brought the hammer crashing down upon Fortus.

The impact was met with resistance as Fortus’s reflective shield shimmered and shimmered, attempting to withstand the force of the blow. For a moment, it seemed as though the shield might hold, but then the flames erupted in a dazzling display of power.

With a deafening roar, the flames exploded outward, their searing heat tearing through the shield with relentless force. Cracks spiderwebbed across its surface, unable to withstand the inferno’s fury as it consumed everything in its path.

Following Roan’s lead, Seara swiftly joined the fray, her javelin crackling with immense electric energy. With a mighty throw, she launched the weapon downward, the air around it shimmering with the intensity of the charge it carried.

The javelin descended like a colossal thunderbolt, its electrifying power surging through the air with awe-inspiring force. As it neared Fortus, the shield materialized once more, attempting to repel the attack.

But the shield’s defenses proved futile against the overwhelming might of Seara’s lightning-charged javelin. With a resounding crack, it shattered upon impact, the force of the blow too great for it to withstand. In its wake, jagged fractures spread across its surface, a testament to the unstoppable power of the lightning bolt.

The javelin struck true, its electric energy surging through Fortus’s form with devastating effect. Several sides of the dice were obliterated in an instant, torn apart by the sheer force of the lightning’s fury.

Fortus’ body began to tremble after the attacks, and then everyone followed with their Origin Strikes. His body began to fall apart much faster than before, but before Terra and the ones closest to her could join them, they moved to the sides and then grabbed Roan and Seara, who fell unconscious...

The Reflective Shield of the enemy made them take a good part of their attacks... that made Roan be burned almost to a crisp, and Seara joins had completely destroyed thanks to the power of her lightning attack.

Seara worked fast to prevent their deaths, and they began to heal fast. Still, before that, they got up and readied themselves to fight... even if it was just a bit; as long as they could make the enemy fall a bit faster, they would be able to save a lot of people from falling further. Besides, they wanted to confirm what had happened to Rain and what had been that bad feeling that they had...

"Leave the rest to the others... it will be bad for morale if you were to fall here," Terra said.

"I should be able to deal with this," Esmeralda said and then used her Golden Vase.

Thanks to Marie’s power on the golden vase, she began to pour a bunch of liquid that began to restore the health, mana, and stamina of those three, and they immediately began to feel better. The elixir had grown a lot more powerful since the last time they used it... before long, all the damaged skin in their bodies was restored.

"Let’s go, it is the final push," Roan said. "Once we are done with him, we will help Rain."

"That is probably impossible."

Lonos’s voice suddenly reverberated through the area, catching everyone off guard. His words echoed ominously, carrying a weight that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard them.

The contents of his message left everyone stunned, their expressions frozen in disbelief as the gravity of his words sank in. It was a revelation that sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield, casting a pall of uncertainty over the combatants.

For a moment, silence hung heavy in the air, broken only by the sound of Lonos’s voice echoing in the darkness. His message had profound implications, raising more questions than answers and leaving the warriors reeling as they grappled with the sudden shift in the battle’s dynamics.
