When Rize returned, her questioning started from where she had stopped on the matters concerning Mo Jiu. "Do you know where she acquired the poison which was used in taking away the voices of the three singers? Is it in this pen drive?"

"No.." Mei Mei pushed away the empty plates a house keeping robot was quick to approach and take them away.

Nobody commented on the fact that she had a robot butler.

"My guess is that the poison came from a Space M lab. There is a doctor there whose specialty is poisons. He is the same man who created the poison which Mo Liang used on me." Mei Mei pointed at the pen drive. "There are pictures in there of Mo Jiu meeting with the doctor three times in Space M. I always planned to look into her reasons for meeting him but never got the time. My guess is this is the reason why."

Rize threw her fist in the air. Tea with a princess would be sizzling tonight. "Oh, you don’t mind if I mention Space M when I make the big reveal, do you?"

Mei Mei shrugged. "Mo Liang took credit for starting Space M and being the big brains behind all of its success. If there is someone that should pay for its wrongdoings as well, who better than him?"

As Mei Mei’s reveals continued, Mi Mi fell asleep and the couple decided to send their daughter home and then return to work.

After they left, Mei Mei took the sky float to the little forest on the property. She was working alone, with the company of a little fox on the virtual screen and a hit list of her favorite songs. This mission, she could easily accomplish on her own.

So, as she continued to dig, her eyes were showed videos of horses sneezing, some lightly and others dramatically. In one video, a man was so startled and fell into a ditch after a horse breathed so powerfully. That video left Mei Mei snickering.

She was on her third pond when she was joined by unexpected company: Long Junjie. He came waving her favorite ice cream and french fries. The smile on his face was exaggerated and hopeful.

"Are they salty?" She asked him.

Junjie nodded. Mei Mei was the only person that he knew who liked to eat salty french fries with ice cream. With one nod of the head from her, he signaled his agents to put down chairs and a table. They were very quick about it, they even added a vase, flowers and started playing some music.

Mei Mei washed her hands and face. When she turned around and saw the date like setting, she was shocked. The first thought on her mind was a reminder that she had a jealous puppy at home who would take one look at this and pout. The result would be a loss of her points.

The second thought was that someone would take a picture that would result in trouble for her as Gao Jiajia’s claims would have some backing.

"Stop." she shouted sternly, jutting her finger at the music players, three agents that had violins. "And remove those flowers."

"They don’t mean anything." Junjie said.

"We both know that but other people don’t." She waved her hand quickly, urging the agents to take away the vase.

Only after the flowers and music were dispensed with did she sit down and start enjoying the vanilla strawberry ice cream. "What brings me to the district the rich and wealthy abhor?"

"Given how much the rich and wealthy are rushing to grab plots of land here, I don’t think that The Hollow will be abhorred much longer. Thanks to you, this district is taking a turn for the better." He answered, making smacking sounds as he sucked on the spoon of peanut butter ice cream.

"I still think your favorite flavor of ice cream is gross by the way." She randomly mentioned.

Junjie scoffed. "This, coming from a woman that eats salty fries with ice cream is an insult. One of us here is gross and it is not me."

"Hmph!" She responded. "Back to my question, why are you at my camp today? Not that I don’t appreciate all the free advertising you are giving me."

"I came to enjoy some ice cream with an old friend. Is that a crime?" He snatched one of her fries, earning a glare from her.

Mei Mei let out a snot. "Friend...."

"Yes, friend." He insisted. "Friends can make mistakes and friends can forgive each other. I am trying to make amends Meilin, don’t freeze me out."

She looked at him and sighed. Perhaps she lacked the energy to argue with him or dwell on things of the past but she just decided to let it go for the moment. If she could be forgiven by her relatives for her own mistakes, why couldn’t she forgive others?

"Have you ever felt too lazy to argue?" she asked him.

Junjie thought about it with a frown, eating ice cream lazily. "Mmm, I think yes. If you were made to sit through meetings with ministers from all sectors all day or sit in the cabinet house and listen to them drone on and on about this budget and that budget or tax cuts, deficits and so on.....you would be too lazy to talk to anyone at all at the end of the day."

"I told you that it sucks to be emperor." She shrugged. "How are your kids?"

"They are okay. I would love to introduce them to you sometime. They should meet my best friend in the world. Mingzhu and Shuang will hit it off."

Mei Mei let out a squeaky laugh. "No they won’t. Mingzhu will punch the teeth out of your daughter’s mouth withon the first ten seconds. Long Shuang has been spoiled by her mother to the extremes that she has gained a reputation for being unreasonable."

There was a reason as to why she was the one six year old that the Jun’s and Chi’s avoided. It was because she expected everyone to fall at her feet because she was a princess. She was rude, demanding and selfish.

"So, I heard you got some pets." Junjie decided to change the topic. "Now how did you go from rejecting all animal related gifts at your birthdays to actually owning animals?"

"Having children will do that to you." Mei Mei sighed. "My daughter wanted pets so I got her pets. Then the triplets came and Jun Yi brought more. I would not be surprised if I went home today and saw another." She looked back at the ponds she had been digging. "Look around, I am building a pet sanctuary on the camp property. It is the legacy of my family which I cannot escape."
