The dragon high in the sky, surrounded by black clouds crackling with lightning, opened his mouth and let golden light escape through the gaps between his sharp pointed fangs.
The huge, wiggling mass of black was surrounded by a massive vortex of lava, sucking everything into its constantly growing body. It suddenly froze as it felt the immense energy radiate from the dragon's mouth.
Vesuvius felt his pride and ego swell up, bathing in the silent awe of the demon, 'Yes, look at me, look at my power!'
The next moment he released the corium from his glands, his metallic affinity kicking in as pure molten metal, stone, and plutonium rushed up his throat, the glow in his mouth intensifying even more. The divine energy flooding his glands seeped into it, charging and empowering it while giving it a pure golden colour.
A breath of thick, golden shining liquid that looked like liquified gold exploded out of his wide open mouth. It abruptly stopped mid-air, gathering into a massive ball not far from the dragon.
The air around the levitating golden sphere shone, twisted, and warped under the bombardment of the heat and particles blazing out of the liquid.
'Divine nuclear fuel. That is a fitting name for this. I wonder how much electricity could be produced just with a single gram.'
The dragon willed his domain to act, and immediately immense force pressed the golden ball, pushing it and condensing it while engraving magic letters into its shifting and changing surface.
The demonic slime woke up out of its shock, and its tentacles once again shot up toward the dragon with even higher speed and force. Its body shrunk with each massive tentacle it shot as it used its mass for one last desperate attack.
'Too late for this.'
The dragon closed his eyes as he focused on the swirling and condensing mass before him while the tentacles crawled closer and closer, wanting to drag him down to his doom.
It took all his focus as he forcefully stabilized the nuclear material before him, its nature bringing it closer and closer to the point of no return.
The dragon outstretched his long-clawed hands and enveloped the glowing orb between them as it kept shrinking. The golden light leaked through the gaps between his fingers and penetrated through his crystalline claws. It looked like a useless theatrical gesture, but it was more.
The closer one got to the dragon's body, the stronger his domain was, so when he enveloped it, the pressure on it increased through the roof.
The tentacles were already near him, the black mass disintegrating and turning into black particles under the golden radiance of the orb.
Finally, the dragon's eyes snapped open, and the stream pouring out of his mouth stopped.
'This must be enough!'
The lightning sparkled around the orb, and the next moment, a loud bang sent a shockwave through the black clouds of ash as the orb launched like a falling golden star.
"Haha, so this is how I will be freed?" The demon's voice echoed in the dragon's head, but he ignored it as transparent magic symbols and arrays formed around his body. They quickly spun as they orbited him.
The orb quickly descended, loudly howling like sirens announcing a nuclear strike, leaving behind a golden trail through the sky.
The symbols around the dragon pulsed one last time, and the world twisted and warped as he appeared far in the distance, the slime again turning into a single small dot on the horizon.
He bathed his breath in fear and horror of what he had done, 'The fission reaction is one of the most energic reactions in nature, and I have empowered it with divine energy...'
He felt drained, with his horns and breath glands itching after he converted so much mana.
The dragon flapped his wings as he turned to face the slime far from him, his eyes zooming on it like a pair of precise telescopes.
He squinted his eyes as a bright golden light flashed on the horizon, and the small orb smashed straight into the slimy, black mass, vanishing into the darkness.
"So it is finally the end..." The demon's voice, filled with relief and melancholy, spoke in the dragon's mind one last time. Then there was only silence.
'How it would feel to be trapped in a dungeon loop for ages while knowing it and that you are just a fake, a shadow left in time.' The dragon' felt the existential horror of the dungeons for the first time. His body shuddered just thinking about it.
'What if there are already dungeons with my copies existing somewhere?'
A bright golden radiance interrupted his thoughts as the rays pierced from the body of the black slime, exploding in all directions and making it look like a disco ball.
The next moment, a massive golden sphere of energy, fire, and particles exploded, tearing apart and annihilating the demon and the slime.

Magma and pieces of stone were smashing and shattering on his body with loud bangs and thuds.
He couldn't hold it any longer as he forcefully opened his eyes only to be immediately struck by the pain, his nanites constantly repairing the damage.
A huge ball of golden light, fire, and particles was still expanding and annihilating everything in its path. The shockwave sent a massive tsunami through the fiery ocean, its height reaching as high as an average skyscraper.
The ground cracked, and the magma evaporated into nothingness, leaving behind the dungeon's cracked and disintegrating black stone.
