....

"Is it just me or does your family's dynamics keep getting more and more complicated?"

Elias was escorted to a room that was assigned to him. Each student had received a room of their own, where they could rest until they reached the destination.

He didn't answer Astralious. Instead, he glanced at the man escorting him and asked, "How long until we reach earth?"

"Two days," the man answered, keeping his sentence as short as possible. "If everything goes right."

"If everything goes right? Is there something that you're worried about going wrong?"

"It's nothing for you to be worried about." The man stopped before a room, and opened the door.

"This is your room. You are allowed to leave the room whenever you wish, but don't create any unnecessary problems for the staff." He left the room open for Elias, and walked away, without offering any other explanation.

Elias watched the man leave, and only after he disappeared from sight, did he enter his room. He closed the door behind him, and started observing his rooms.

"The room isn't half bad. The Academy does know how to travel with luxury."

Astralious sat on the bed, which had taken more than half the space in the bedroom. There was also a bathroom attached to the room, with a separate door leading to it.

"Do you have any idea about what that man was talking about? What do you think he meant when he said the journey could take longer if something went wrong?"

Elias walked over to the window and moved the curtains, to observe the vast yet beautiful space.

"Who knows. There are many things that can go wrong. We can have an engine malfunction," Astralious answered. "We might also be attacked by the Space Pirates, even though the chances of that happening are low because we represent the Academy."

"There are thousands of things that could go wrong, so it wasn't wrong for that man to say that it's nothing for you to be worried about. Just relax and enjoy the trip."

"That makes sense." Elias nodded, observing the meteorites that looked like they were moving extremely slowly in outer space, even though they were traveling at a speed faster than light.

....

The first day passed without anything significant happening during the trip. Food was delivered to their rooms three times a day, and each time, it was a delicacy.

Elias made Lycorice eat the delivered food, as it was the most nutritious for a Spirit Beast. Meanwhile, he only ate the food from his storage that carried the taste of earth.

He spent the rest of his time either watching space through the window or in the Shadow Realm, playing with the virus while observing Dreke's agonizing suffering.

During his first day on the battleship, he only slept for four hours. It was on the second day that things became a little more exciting.

The battleship crossed the threshold, flying past the range that was guarded by the upper worlds. Beyond this point, no force of the Upper World could be seen patrolling.

It was the region where the Space Pirates dwelled, living in hiding and robbing the ships that travelled from the upper realms to the lower realms.

It was also the realm where the criminals of the Upper Realm, who were being hunted by the upper worlds, came to hide.

There were many times when the forces of the upper worlds tried to attack the realm to wipe out the evil elements, but every time, they suffered great losses.

In this place, it was extremely easy for people to hide, and ambush the forces of the upper worlds. There were also many traps that made it harder for large forces to travel through this place.

If the Upper Words wanted, they could easily cleanse through this place with brute force. But they didn't think that all this effort was worth it, for a small gain.

The Upper Worlds turned a blind eye to the flourishing crimes in the place. The Forces of the Chaotic Realm also didn't touch the reverse scales of the great powers of the Upper Worlds.

They only robbed and harmed the forces that didn't belong to the major forces of the upper world, and the great merchants. Only a rare few chaotic elements ignored the unspoken rules.

"That's a living thing?" Elias watched a giant asteroid the size of Earth's moon.

Just looking at it with the naked eye, it was impossible to believe it was actually alive. If it weren't for his Analysis, even he wouldn't have known it was alive.

"Ah, the Void Beast. That brings back memories. It's a very peaceful creature. As long as you don't attack it first, it won't react. But once provoked, that thing can be truly frightening."

"Generally, no one targets the creature, since its corpse is useless and filled with a poison that can't even be diluted. Even the Poison Masters ignore it."

Astralious's explanation made Elias understand just how dangerous this place truly was. Even a seemingly ordinary meteorite could be a Void Beast in disguise.

"The Chaotic Realm is filled with such strange things. That's why it's impossible to travel through this space unless you are escorted by a Grade Seven Battleship. Even then, your safety isn't guaranteed."

"Grade Seven Battleships? What grade is the battleship we're traveling in?"

"It's Grade Eight, though it might not look like it. The highest ever created is Grade Ten. So it's quite impressive that the Academy sent a Grade eight to escort you. As long as we don't go looking for trouble, we should be quite safe."

"That man's ship... Was it a Grade Ten?" Elias asked, remembering Jeskirin's battleship, which was even more fascinating than the one his family had used to send him to the Academy.

"Hah, he wishes. That could only be called a Semi-Grade Nine. Almost Grade Nine, but not quite. Why? Planning to steal it?"

"If I were planning to run away from the Academy, stealing it might not be a bad idea," Elias answered.

"You—"

"Calm down. I'm joking. I don't plan to make an enemy of him yet."

"Isn't it a bit late for that, after you chopped off his daughter's arm? When he finds out it was you…"
