Lord of the Truth-Chapter 1227: The Road to Eternal Glory
"...Everyone."
A foolish, almost comical smile stretched across Robin's face. "Pardon me? What did you just say?"
"Why are you so shocked?" The All-Seeing god tilted his head slightly, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "Every Patch I've ever created had a singular purpose — either to ignite a cosmic war or to infiltrate strategic positions where triggering such a war would be easier when the right moment arrived. Did you truly think that I, after weaving plans for countless millennia, would abandon all of that so casually, just because you had a change of heart?" He laughed, a deep, mocking sound.
"You refused to serve as a mere spark between existing powers. Very well. Then you will become the very nucleus around which the war will revolve. You won't just witness the war... you will be the main character in it."
"The main character?! In a cosmic war?!" Robin pointed wildly at himself, as if trying to reject the absurdity of it. "Forget what I said! I'm a complete idiot, just like you claimed! Please just toss me into any of your remaining boards— I swear I'll ignite for you the greatest cosmic inferno the universe has ever seen!"
"It is too late," the Seer declared, his voice hardening like steel. "The ink has dried, the decree has been sealed. These two missions are now interwoven into your very destiny. Failure to carry them out will not merely doom you — it will bring unimaginable torment upon you and death to everyone you have ever cared about."
The humanoid light straightened his back, hands clasped once more behind him, his voice becoming colder and heavier with authority. "You failed a Patch that cost me the careful effort and planning of thousands upon thousands of years. Therefore, you will compensate me — by creating a new one. Your next mission is this: complete the construction of a century-class artificial galaxy using Nihari as your foundation. Push it to ascend toward the Mid-Belt sector, and do all of this within less than one thousand years. Afterward, you must defend your artificial galaxy against all threats and maintain dominion over it until you are officially recognized as a new Behemoth, someonw like Zavaros, or Helmore."
"A—A thousand years?!" Robin jolted in horror, his blood running cold. "You expect me to attack the Mid-Belt within just a thousand years?!"
"And the mission will end be me becoming a Behemoth? Me?! Are you serious right now?!"
When Robin had spoken with Neri in the past, she had told him he would need around one hundred thousand years just to prepare properly — to gather strength, form armies, and lay the foundation needed for the monumental battles ahead. Now, with a single sentence, the All-Seeing god had obliterated that timeline, reducing it to a mere one percent of what was originally planned!
Worse still, the planet Nihari itself was nowhere near ready. Its current martial age was about 410,000 years, still far from qualifying for a Mid-Belt sector ascension. Ascending in just a thousand years meant Robin would have to take the second, much harder route — personally reaching the World Cataclysm Realm, this would automatically elevate not only himself and Jura, but all the planets bound to him, including Nihari.
Yet Robin had not even broken through to the Martial Emperor Domain yet! He had no idea what true World Cataclysms even entailed!
What was he supposed to do now?
Should he isolate himself, throwing everything into cultivating madly for centuries on end?
Should he lead his fledgling armies to forge an empire of hundreds of worlds, forcibly binding new planets to Nihari's orbit?
Or should he prioritize hunting down the dangerous entity known as Sevar — before Sevar could find him?
And above all... the All-Seeing god made it sound like simply ascending to the Mid-Belt would inevitably trigger a cosmic war!!
"Oh, no, no, no, wait a second!" Robin exclaimed in panic, his mind racing. "Are you seeing something in those Threads of Fate? What exactly is supposed to happen when the artificial galaxy ascends?!"
"You will find out soon enough," the humanoid light replied with an infuriating chuckle, offering no more than that.
Then he lifted his chin slightly, looking down at Robin as if passing judgment. "Now, choose. Will you accept... or will you not?"
His voice dropped lower, more menacing. "I have told you several times already — at any moment, I could cancel the Time Stop and allow the attack meant for you to land. Death right now might seem like the most horrific outcome... but after you fail these missions, you will beg for the chance to die instead of facing what comes."
Gulp.
Robin swallowed hard, his expression tightening. He furrowed his brows deeply in thought, then lifted his gaze slowly, locking eyes with the humanoid light.
"...That glory you spoke about earlier," Robin asked carefully, "tell me about it."
Surprised by the question, the Seer paused for a heartbeat, raising one eyebrow slightly.
"...The very word glory was created to describe it," he said finally, his voice filled with a rare, solemn reverence. "There was no glory before it, and there will be no glory after it. It exists even if the universe itself crumbles into dust, It is eternal even if time ceases to exist."
"...Can you explain more?" Robin pressed, his tone almost desperate for understanding.
But the humanoid light slowly shook his head, his silver hair rippling like silk.
"When you complete your missions," he said, voice deep and calm, "we will meet once again. And only then shall I reveal everything."
"...."
Robin clenched his fists slightly, feeling his blood begin to boil under his skin, a slow burn rising from within.
"...If I achieve it... if I accomplish this for myself," he asked, his voice low and firm, "will you finally put an end to this endless cycle? This constant search for candidates? This manipulation of the cosmos?"
"Without question," the All-Seeing god confirmed without hesitation, his tone carrying a rare solemnity.
"There would be no more need for it. You and I will each have grander purposes to pursue — higher callings awaiting us beyond the petty games of fate."
"Then..."
Robin exhaled heavily, a long, drawn-out breath that seemed to carry all his doubts and fears away.
His gaze hardened with resolve as he announced, with a fiery passion burning in his voice:
"I'll do it! For every brother who failed before me — and for every brother yet to come! I'll bring this cursed cycle to an end!"
"Oho! You little scoundrel!"
The All-Seeing god laughed heartily, a booming laugh that echoed around them like rolling thunder.
"You only want the glory for yourself, don't you? Hahaha!"
Slowly, effortlessly, he began to float upward, the hem of his robe fluttering as if caught by an invisible breeze.
"But I like your answer," he added with a grin. "Very well... let's begin the new round!"
"...."
An embarrassed, sheepish smile tugged at Robin's lips as he realized he'd been exposed so easily.
He wasn't sure if the All-Seeing god had read his intentions through deep knowledge of Robin's eternal ambition — that sacred, undying goal to achieve ultimate glory and etch his name across history...
Or if it was simply because of the burning light in his own eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oooooommmmmmm—
"YAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
A roar tore through the air as Caesar, Richard, Aro, Sakaar, and dozens of high-ranking generals standing on the grand platform gathered their full might.
Behind them hovered hundreds of Battle Emperors, and beyond the walls, thirty mighty Warlords rallied together.
All at once, they lifted their weapons, summoned their power, and launched their assault toward the heavens.
RUMBLE RUMBLE
The overwhelming force of their combined onslaught cracked the delicate fabric of Jura's sky, ripping it open with brutal force.
Particularly devastating was Hulak's cataclysmic punch, which generated its own gravitational field, pulling nearby human and demon generals a few steps closer before they dug their heels in and fought the drag.
And yet—
Woooooooooo~
The Annihilating Nature Strike descended with terrifying grace, as serene and inevitable as death itself.
It approached the ground in unshakable calm, like an ancient judgment passed down from the heavens.
Its oppressive pressure finally collided with the collective assault — and with a mere whoosh,
every ounce of their gathered strength was... erased.
"IMPOSSIB—!!"
Cries of disbelief ripped from their throats as they witnessed the fruit of their combined might vanish like fragile fireflies swallowed whole by a devouring sun.
But they had no time to scream — in the very next instant, the brutal pressure from the destruction force slammed them into the earth, flattening them with merciless weight.
"Uggghhhh!!!"
"...."
High above, Helen watched everything unfold, her sharp mind juggling multiple problems — how to cleanse her bad karma, how to escape the inevitable pursuit of the Stellar Academies once she made her move.
Yet even amidst all her calculations, she noticed something peculiar.
Floating before Robin was a being made entirely of radiant light.
She couldn't determine what it was — a soul fragment? A celestial manifestation? Something even stranger?
Whatever it was, its power was immeasurable.
And more unnervingly... it was looking directly at her.
"You there," Helen called lazily, pointing down with a loose hand. "Who are you? What are you trying to—"
Before she could even finish her sentence,
the humanoid light simply raised his hand — and waved gently.
WHOOOOOSH—
