"Why are you so surprised?"
Finn smiled a little, but he didn't quite understand the reactions of the two women.
"Finn, you really brought us to a good place."
Wanda's eyes were shining brightly, no longer burdened by the unhappiness she'd shown earlier. Now, her attention was focused entirely on the exhibits not far away.
"That statement makes sense," the Dark Witch agreed. For once, she didn't argue but instead echoed Wanda's words.
Finn smiled and said nothing. Honestly, he wasn't sure why this place fascinated them so much. Compared to the previous history museum they'd visited, it didn't seem all that different.
Still, there was no helping it. Since they were already here, they might as well go inside. Otherwise, it would feel like a waste.
"Let's go in together. Staying out here isn't really an option," Finn suggested.
He could clearly see that both witches were eager to enter. Besides, the tickets were already purchased; not going in would be a waste of money.
Even though he could easily "earn" money from gangsters, that didn't mean he should spend it frivolously.
Soon enough, the three of them, brimming with curiosity, walked directly into the exhibition center.
Looking around, they found that most of the exhibits were European in style, with a noticeable influence from various world cultures. The cultural heritage of other nations was present too, though the displays primarily showcased European and Asian influences.
"Finn, do your dragons really exist?" Wanda asked, her gaze fixed on a large stone statue of a dragon in front of them. The sculpture was grand and sacred, with sharply defined edges, giving it a lifelike aura. Although it wasn't real, when viewed up close, subtle details brought the dragon to life. The craftsmanship gave it a holy, almost mythical presence.
"There are rumors of dragons in legends, but whether they're real... that's another story," Finn began.
Before he could finish, Wanda tugged at the hem of his shirt, interrupting him. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"Then tell me quickly. I'm very curious about these legends," she urged.
"I want to hear about them too," the Dark Witch added, her curiosity matching Wanda's.
Finn thought for a moment, then began without much hesitation, "Dragons are mythical creatures rooted in ancient lore. In many legends, they're considered symbols of power, wisdom, and mystery. They could grow or shrink, soar into the sky during the spring equinox, or dive into the depths during the autumn equinox. Ancient texts describe them as beings who could call the wind and rain.
"In some cultures, dragons with wings were considered the true dragons. Over time, their depictions grew more elaborate. For example, in ancient kingdoms, artifacts and royal regalia often featured dragons. They symbolized imperial power."
The two witches listened intently, their fascination growing. They urged Finn to continue.
With a sigh, Finn obliged, "There's also the belief in celestial dragons and guardian dragons. In ancient royal courts, dragon motifs were reserved for emperors and high-ranking officials. The presence of wings on a dragon figure often signified divine or royal attributes.
"Throughout history, the dragon symbol evolved, representing not just strength but a deep cultural identity."
Half an hour passed before either Wanda or the Dark Witch realized how much time they'd spent listening.
In unison, they exclaimed, "I can't believe how profound all this culture is. I want you to take us to see it in person!"
"Wait for a chance," Finn said, smiling. "I'm sure that day isn't too far away."
He didn't dwell on the subject further. Instead, they continued walking deeper into the exhibition.
Because they had spent so much time on the dragon exhibit, most of the other visitors had already moved ahead.
"Come on, let's not waste time," Wanda said, pulling Finn forward. "Besides, I want to know more about cultural heritage. These things are too valuable."
They soon reached the innermost section of the exhibition center, where many people were gathered, admiring various artifacts.
The trio veered off slightly to a quieter corner, where a display of porcelain pottery caught their attention.
"What is this? It looks so delicate and beautiful," Wanda said, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
"This is porcelain," Finn explained. "Porcelain differs from pottery in both appearance and structure. Though both are composed of crystalline substances, glassy materials, and air bubbles, they vary in thickness, density, and porosity. Pottery is primarily made from clay, processed simply, resulting in higher porosity and strong water absorption."
Both witches were visibly intrigued.
They hadn't realized that porcelain, even now, was considered a rare and precious artifact.
"There must be a long history behind it, right?" Wanda asked eagerly.
Finn nodded. "Porcelain-making techniques date back centuries. During different dynasties, the art form reached astonishing levels. For instance, pastel porcelains became renowned during certain eras for their exquisite designs, standing alongside the famed blue and white porcelain."
He continued, "The techniques evolved over time. Single-color glazes, enamel colors, and innovative styles flourished. Even today, the craftsmanship and heritage passed down through generations continue to shine brilliantly."
He gave them a general overview of the porcelain's historical significance.
After all, preserving cultural heritage was no small feat.
"It's incredible that such an art form exists," Wanda said, awe coloring her voice. "Honestly, it makes me feel a little inadequate."
The two witches stood frozen, their eyes filled with wonder.
Finn smiled gently but said nothing, leading them forward.
For the rest of their visit, the three explored the exhibition thoroughly, moving quickly but appreciating every display.
As the day wore on, the sun began to set. The golden afterglow faded, replaced by a gentle twilight.
They strolled along a small road outside the exhibition center. There weren't many people around, and the cool evening breeze was refreshing, carrying with it the soft scent of spring.
The feeling was peaceful, almost idyllic. No troubles, no burdens. Just the calm warmth of quiet companionship.
And perhaps, because they had each other, that peace felt even deeper.
