Chapter 183 - 183 God, The Creator!

Luo Bai couldn't refute Agamotto's words.

After all, as the Sorcerer Supreme, it was his duty to protect the Earth—whether it was a million years ago or a million years in the future.

However, he still felt the need to explain his true reason for coming here.

"I admit that you're right," Luo Bai said, looking at Firehair. "But I also have my own reasons for coming here. I'm here to find the Phoenix Force."

The moment those words left his mouth—

The entire room fell silent.

Firehair's expression changed instantly.

"You mean... you want to take the Phoenix Force from me?" she asked, her tone laced with caution and a hint of anger.

Her sharp gaze made it clear—

She was now on high alert.

It seemed like she wanted to say more, but before she could, Agamotto interrupted,

"Firehair, wait a moment. He is the Sorcerer Supreme, and I trust that he has his reasons for this."

Then, turning to Luo Bai, he asked, "Can you tell us why?"

Luo Bai's eyes darkened slightly as he replied in a calm yet firm tone—

"Because of the Celestials."

Agamotto's brows furrowed.

"The Celestials?" he repeated in surprise.

A brief moment of contemplation passed before he asked, "So, one million years later... the Celestials return to Earth?"

"Yes," Luo Bai affirmed.

"Through my ability to foresee the future, I've seen that the Celestials are coming again. This time, they will send far more of their kind. Earth needs help."

Luo Bai's voice was dead serious.

But before anyone else could respond—

Odin scoffed.

"Hmph! It's just a bunch of so-called gods. I'll take care of them myself. Once I defeat them, they won't dare return!"

His tone carried nothing but disdain and arrogance.

This was not the wise and composed All-Father of the future.

This was the young, reckless, and brash Odin, full of unchecked pride and ambition.

Watching him, Luo Bai suddenly understood—

So this is where Thor got his reckless nature from.

Damn it... it's hereditary.

It was no exaggeration to say that the Odin standing before Luo Bai—

Was practically a Thor from another era.

Even his weapon at this time was—

Mjolnir.

That's right.

Like father, like son.

Luo Bai smirked and said,

"If you were truly capable of defeating the Celestials, they wouldn't be invading Earth again a million years later."

At those words, the atmosphere shifted.

Everyone, including Agamotto, grew silent.

Because Luo Bai's very existence was proof—

The Celestials were not defeated.

Agamotto's eyes gleamed with understanding.

"The timeline of the universe... the outcome of this battle... it has already been decided," he murmured.

"With the power you all have now, you cannot fully defeat the Celestials. That is why, one million years later, they return to invade Earth once more."

"And Luo Bai's arrival here..."

"Is to ensure Earth's survival in the future."

Yet, Agamotto still had one question.

"One million years later... is there truly no one else left on Earth to stand against them?"

Luo Bai shook his head.

"For now... it's just me."

Hearing this, Odin's face darkened.

He immediately waved his hand and said,

"Impossible! Where do you place me, Odin?! One million years later, I will have conquered the entire universe! The Celestials? They'll be nothing more than an afterthought!"

His arrogance was unshaken.

In his mind, once the Celestials were defeated, he would move on to conquer the cosmos.

To Odin, this was absolute.

That was why he spoke with such unwavering confidence.

Luo Bai sighed.

He didn't want to shatter Odin's pride, but—

He had to tell the truth.

"I know you, Odin Borson.

"One million years later, you are the King of Asgard."

"We have met in the future."

"But unfortunately... you are no longer on Earth."

"Asgard has been taken over by your son—Thor."

"And it was you who asked me... to help discipline your son."

"To help manage Asgard in your place."

Odin froze.

What. The. Hell?!

One million years later... I'm gone?!

And I asked this Supreme Sorcerer to take care of my son?!

Not just Odin—

Even Agamotto looked visibly puzzled.

For Odin, the mighty God-King of Asgard, to entrust his son to Luo Bai...

It didn't make any sense.

Before Agamotto could say anything, Odin exploded.

"Impossible!! Absolutely impossible!!!"

"I am Odin!! My son must have inherited my perfect genes! Even if I retire in a million years, I won't need you to help manage Asgard!"

Odin's expression practically screamed—

I am Odin!! The future God-King!!

My genes are superior!!

There's no way a mere Earth-born human could be stronger than my son!!

Why the hell would I ask him to take care of my child?!

Luo Bai didn't argue.

He simply pulled out a magic contract and handed it to Odin.

"This is the contract you signed with me," he said calmly.

Then, he summoned—

Gungnir.

"And this is the weapon you gave me."

Odin: "???"

He took the Eternal Spear from Luo Bai's hands and examined it closely.

The moment he saw it—

His expression shifted.

Because he recognized it instantly.

This was a weapon forged by the Dwarves—the royal weapon masters of Asgard.

They only forged weapons for Asgard's kings.

So Odin knew exactly what this meant.

Then, he looked at the contract.

Since it was a magical contract, it still carried his own power—

Meaning it was undeniably real.

A few moments later—

Odin paled.

No...

No way...

Is my son really that useless?!

One million years later... I actually signed something like this?!

This contract is basically... handing over Asgard to Luo Bai!!

Odin felt his entire worldview collapse.

His pride took a devastating hit.

"Impossible!!!" he roared.

"How could my son—my son—be so useless?!

"He inherited my perfect genes! He should be like me! A conqueror!!!"

Luo Bai said nothing.

He simply smiled and took back the contract and Gungnir.

Watching that smug smile, Odin felt as if his heart had been shattered into a million pieces.

This was a disgrace to his bloodline.

A disgrace to his legacy.

A disgrace to Odin himself!!!

At that moment—

Odin made a decision.

He would change history.

When his son was born—

He would personally train him to be a God of War.

From childhood, Thor would be disciplined, molded, and forged into an unstoppable warrior.

Meanwhile, Luo Bai had no idea what Odin was thinking.

Instead, he turned back to Agamotto and said,

"Just like now, Earth will face an even greater crisis a million years later."

"As the Sorcerer Supreme, I must protect this world."

"That is why I must obtain the Phoenix Force—to drive the Celestials off Earth once and for all."

Finally—

Everyone understood Luo Bai's true purpose.

Even Firehair fell silent.

It was unknown how long Yanfa remained silent before she finally spoke:

"If you can help us resolve the current crisis and drive the Celestials away, I will willingly grant you the Phoenix Force within me so that you can protect Earth one million years from now."

Yanfa had finally relented, negotiating terms with Luo Bai.

Her condition wasn't difficult to fulfill, so Luo Bai agreed without hesitation.

With that, they became allies.

Agamotto then began explaining the current situation on Earth.

According to their investigation, a disease was spreading throughout the universe.

This disease was caused by a race known as the cosmic insect swarm.

These swarms, also known as cosmic locusts, devoured everything in their path, leaving nothing but destruction. Legends claimed that wherever the Hive appeared, it was a sign of impending doom—no force, not even the gods, could stop them.

No one knew how or why these cosmic insects had come into existence, but they multiplied uncontrollably and spread their infection across the universe.

Even the Celestials' homeworld wasn't spared.

Chaos erupted among the Celestials when a member of their kind became infected. The Hive took control of this Celestial and sent it crashing down to Earth.

No one knew the name of this fallen Celestial, so he became known simply as the "Original Ancestor."

The Original Ancestor perished upon impact, but his polluted, corrupted blood seeped into the Earth's lava and oceans, spreading its infection.

With it, the Hive multiplied and began devouring the Earth, running rampant like an unstoppable plague.

Many believed Earth would share the same fate as countless other planets, slowly consumed by the swarm.

But something unexpected happened.

Over time, Earth developed a unique genetic mutation that actively resisted the insect swarm.

During the era of primitive cavemen, individuals emerged with evolutionary advancements that far surpassed their peers. These individuals possessed supernatural abilities.

Thus, the first superpowered beings on Earth were born.

The Celestials, upon discovering this phenomenon, were stunned.

They had never encountered a species capable of resisting the Hive.

Determined to uncover the secret behind these superhumans, the Celestials decided to capture them for study.

To accomplish this, they sent another Celestial—Zgreb the Sorrowful—to Earth.

However, Agamotto foresaw their intentions.

To prevent Earth's people from becoming mere test subjects, the superpowered individuals, Odin, and other defenders of Earth united against Zgreb.

Through their combined efforts, they successfully defeated him.

But their actions did not go unnoticed.

The Celestials were enraged by Zgreb's defeat and declared war on Earth.

In retaliation, they decided to send one of their most powerful first-generation Celestials—The Creator—to annihilate the planet.

"Zgreb was already weakened when he arrived on Earth," Agamotto explained. "He was infected by the disease, which made him vulnerable. That's the only reason we were able to defeat him."

"From him, we learned the Celestials' true plan."

"From the very beginning, they intended to use Earth as a test subject to study genetic resistance against the Hive."

"They planned to sacrifice Earth to save their own kind."

"This," Agamotto said, his tone filled with anger, "is something we cannot allow."

Luo Bai listened carefully, piecing everything together.

The Celestials were infected.

In their desperation to cure themselves, they released the Hive onto Earth.

Upon realizing that Earth had developed a "vaccine" against the Hive, they decided to destroy the entire planet to extract that cure for their own survival.

These Celestials... they weren't gods.

They were monsters.

Luo Bai clenched his fists, fury burning in his chest.

But he knew that anger alone wouldn't solve anything.

Taking a deep breath, he asked, "Do we know when the Creator will arrive?"

"If my predictions are correct, he will be here by tomorrow," Agamotto replied.

"I've calculated over a thousand possible outcomes of this battle, and in only one scenario do we stand a chance of victory."

Luo Bai frowned, sensing something off.

"You're not saying... that scenario depends on me, are you?"

Agamotto nodded solemnly.

"Yes. Without you, we lose."
