Chapter 58 -57 Interaction of Jing Mu_1
Huh… self-control isn’t too bad.
Observing the other party’s reaction, Mu Lin scoffed with a smirk, slowly getting up, “since we’ve all learned about what we wanted to know, we all will take our leave for now.” After all, if she didn’t leave, how could she let the unexpected guests continue their mischief?
Of course, before leaving, Mu Lin conveniently left behind a small portion of something beneficial, something that would be absolutely indispensable in the upcoming events.
“Have a safe trip,” the other party grinned, completely oblivious.

After Mu Lin and her company left.
“It seems like you didn’t benefit much from her.” The one who had been silent till now coldly snorted, this woman wasn’t easily handled.
Ah… if the ugly people don’t act weird, then they won’t be called ugly.
“Likewise.” The person chuckled, “Although I didn’t gain much, neither did she, right? But we both found out what we wanted to know, so it was a draw.”
Really…was it a draw? Ha, that’s not necessarily the case.
At least, Mu Lin wouldn’t think so.
…
Outside the Imperial City Clubhouse.
“Mu Lin, are you just going to…let them off so easily?” Mu Lin had given them the impression that she won’t stop until those two people are dead. So, why did she seem indifferent when she finally saw them?
“I never said that.” Mu Lin stood still, turned around to look inside, her smile deep, “But if someone can help me get revenge, why shouldn’t I take the opportunity to rest?” Since it was someone she knew, she would be kind enough to give him the opportunity.
All things considering, she had helped him out a lot.
“You mean someone else has their eyes on them?” Looks like those two guys are really unfortunate.
The group was mildly delighted in the other’s misfortune.
Mu Lin remained silent.
“Call your cousin for me.” Suddenly, Mu Lin turned to look at Jing Youlan.
“Why?” Jing Youlan subconsciously asked. But then, mistakingly as though he figured something out, he said, “You’re saying…” He hoped not. Had his cold cousin watched his behavior all along?
Unable to help himself, he shivered and quickly removed his greasy hands from the waists of the two beauties. He ordered, “We have things to do, you both can go back first.” It seemed that he needed to stay low for a while, otherwise…he gulped with difficulty.
He couldn’t bear to “experience” that ordeal one more time.
The two nodded, turned, and left. To tell you the truth, what they had seen and learned today was enough for them to digest for a while.
Compared to Mu Lin, they were really nothing.
After they left, Jing Youlan took out his phone, “I’m not sure if I can get through. When my cousin is on a mission, he usually…turns off his phone.” The phone he uses during a mission is a special one.
However, the moment he finished speaking, the call had already gone through.
How rare! Wasn’t he on a mission? Jing Youlan was puzzled.
In no time at all, the person on the other end had already picked up, as if he had known all along.
“Hello.” A deep voice sounded in Jing Youlan’s ear. Without saying a word, he hastily passed the phone to Mu Lin, treating it as if it were a hot potato, “It’s connected. You take it.” He didn’t want to get scolded so soon.
Mu Lin took the phone, “Mr. Jing.” The first response was a low laughter from the other side which made Mu Lin inexplicably annoyed.
What the hell was he laughing at.
“You knew I’d call you.” That was a statement.
“Hmm.” Jing Chen responded: “You didn’t make a move.” Mu Lin had drawn his attention with her clever plan, but didn’t act against those two when she got there. And now, he had received a call from her. All this indicated that Mu Lin had discovered his man quite early.
Those guys needed some serious training, it seemed.
He knew this cousin of his very well. If he were to die, he would never call him.
Jing Youlan thought, his cousin really understood him well.
“Have you made your move yet?” Mu Lin asked back.
“Yes.” Not long after Mu Lin’s group left, they had moved in.
“Did you drug them?” When his men made their move, they found that the other party had no strength to fight back.
“I slipped in some colourless, odourless muscle relaxants.” Mixed into the air, especially in such a closed area, she estimated that not long after they went out and Jing Chen’s men went in, the two people inside would just start to feel the effects of the drug.
The timing was just right.
“Looks like I owe you again.” Jing Chen said.
However, Mu Lin didn’t see it that way, “No, you don’t owe me anything.” According to the normal conversation, what they just did could actually be considered…a collaboration, nobody owed anyone anything.
Or, one might say she was the one who gained an advantage. After all, she wasn’t the one to make the final move. And with Jing Chen’s abilities, even without her, those two people wouldn’t have been able to escape. It would’ve just been less easy to deal with.
Before coming here, he must’ve had everything planned out.
Hearing Mu Lin’s words, Jing Chen just slightly curled his lips and didn’t say anything. This small gesture, however, caused those nearby to feel a chill of fear and curiosity.
Who was the boss…on the phone with?
