Silas’s POV

"What?! " So I was wrong all along—it was Orian who hugged first? Wow, man, I’m really shocked hearing this, ’cause who could believe this cutie boy can even go near any Alpha? But wait, did he want to tell Dad about Meyer in the dining hall?

"Orian, by any chance, do you want to tell Dad about Meyer?"

"No, I already told him. When I hugged Meyer and returned to the palace, after that I told Dad everything. He said he would think about it and told me not to worry. So I wanted to ask for the answer, but I didn’t have the courage to ask."

Aww, my brother is really fast. But look at this—why is he so cute that I let go of his shoulder and hug him? And again, we return to the dining hall, ’cause Dad hasn’t left from there yet.

As we went inside, Dad was sitting there in a daze without eating. As he saw us, he quickly started to smile which was not real.

"What happened? Why are you both here again?"

I really had come here to ask Dad about Orian, if he had thought about Orian and Meyer at all or not. But seeing how sad he was, yet pretending to be fine in front of us, I didn’t have the courage to ask him anything. I just moved forward and hugged Dad. Orian also did the same.

"What happened to both of you? All of a sudden?" Dad asked. But we didn’t say anything and only hugged him while standing on each side of him. We talked about my personal guards too, ’cause Dad couldn’t believe they got killed, and that too, this soon. It seemed impossible for them to die at the hands of those Alphas.

’Cause those guards were specially trained to kill anyone to protect me. Yes, we know our opponents’ number was huge—still, it was very hard to believe.

After a while, we had to leave from there, and Orian and I fell asleep together while talking about Meyer and him.

The next day, I wanted to confirm what Meyer really thinks about Orian, ’cause he hadn’t confessed yet. That’s why, when we reached there, Meyer had just come back from work. But as he saw us, he quickly came to us.

"Orian, you are here!" Ohh, he seems happy seeing Orian here. And Orian was also smiling at him. Man, these two are very cute, ’cause they’re both blushing, looking at each other. Just then, Meyer’s attention went to me.

"Ohh, Silas, you are also here?"

"So finally you notice me. By the way, I was here from the start. But now, there’s something important I want to talk about, so you and Orian sit together right now."

As I said that, Meyer quickly brought out two wooden chairs. I thought he would be sitting on one of them, but then he gave one chair to Orian after wiping it, and the other chair he placed beside me while he was about to sit down. Why is he behaving like this? I told them to sit together, ’cause I’m not gonna sit. I was about to give him his chair back.

But before that, Orian also sat down beside Meyer. Ohh, it’s so lovely. Seeing them sit down, I grabbed that chair and sat down. It was looking like I’m a teacher and they are my students—which, honestly, felt nice.

"So Meyer, pay attention here," I said, ’cause he was glancing at Orian again and again. But hearing me, he sat straight and started to look ahead at me.

"Orian told me what had happened when I was not here. I heard you gave him a present with Orian’s name on it. And you both even hugged."

His face became pale, like he had done something wrong and I was reminding him of his mistakes. But I didn’t mean to make him feel like that. I was just asking him so that he could confess to Orian his feelings.

"Meyer, I’m not scolding you here. I’m trying to know—what do you feel about Orian? Tell me." He glanced at Orian and just looked at his face without looking anywhere else. But because of that gaze, Orian was embarrassed and didn’t know where to look. Still, he was looking into Meyer’s eyes, since he also wanted to show Meyer his feelings.

After looking into Orian’s eyes for a while, Meyer finally looked ahead. His face was so serious—of course it should be.

’Cause if Meyer really tells me now that he loves Orian, this is gonna be a confession—not officially though, but Orian will know both of their feelings are mutual. But the time Meyer was taking before saying it—it was looking like he was hesitating completely. But he will have to muster the courage and say it out loud.

"Yes, I love Orian with all my heart, and I am ready to do anything just for him."

That’s my boy! This is what I wanted to hear—nothing else. So now it’s confirmed that both of their feelings are mutual, not one-sided. So it’s great.

"Umm, but Meyer, did you ask Orian about his feelings or not?"

Meyer glanced at Orian and i too. His face was red like a tomato. Huh, I was shocked—but as Meyer was looking at him, his face was becoming even redder.

"Orian, are you okay? Why is your face red?"

"Nothing. It’s just that I have a fever, that’s all."

What is "that’s all"? Orian is lying in broad daylight that he has a fever—when he’s blushing! But Meyer seems worried about him. He grabbed Orian’s face and touched his forehead to Orian’s forehead to check his temperature. I’m sure Meyer will realize that Orian is lying—he doesn’t have any fever.
