Chapter 101 - 101. Should I buy it?

"So, how much are you selling it for if the medicine works?" Joaquin asked.

"It will work. However, I have a condition for selling this item," Neo replied.

"What conditions do you want? I'll try to make it happen if possible," Joaquin said.

"If I sell this item to you, it will cost $2,000 to make. I know you are a business, and you need to make a profit. Therefore, if I sell it to you, I want you to sell it for a maximum of $40,000. Additionally, 10% of the profits will go to my charity. As for the price, you can name it. I'll consider it," Neo stated, unsure of how much it could ultimately sell for, but a trillion was not impossible.

"Hmm, do you actually have a charity? I can agree to your demand. I initially intended to price this at $70,000, considering the production cost is $10,000. But since it only costs $2,000 to make, for the price... I'll be honest with you, your cure is estimated to be worth $50 trillion, but we can't generate that kind of money. At most, I could buy it for $600 billion, and we would still need to secure loans from different banks. However, if we partner with bigger companies, we could potentially buy it for $1 trillion," Joaquin explained, fully aware of the medicine's value.

"Hahaha, that's just an estimate. Don't worry, Joaquin. I'll sell it for $550 billion, but you can give me just $500 billion. The remaining $50 billion will go to support doctors and nurses whose jobs will be affected. Also, I'm increasing my percentage of demand to 25%. Are you willing?" Neo wasn't driven by greed; he intended to use the money for charity, not personal profit.

"Really? Are you serious, Neo? You could sell it to other companies that aren't even in the medical field!" Joaquin stood up, shocked. Even Willem, who was listening, couldn't help but gasp.

"I'm not that greedy. All this money will go to my charity anyway. So, do you agree? You'll need to apply for a patent for this formula," Neo said.

"I agree. Thank you, also, for considering the doctors who will be heavily impacted when this medicine is produced. Don't worry; the money you provide will be distributed fairly," Joaquin assured him.

"I know. Here's the formula. I'm confident the medicine works, so here you go," Neo handed over the formula to Joaquin.

Meanwhile, Sakura had woken up, looked around, and realized she couldn't find Neo. She was about to exit the room when she heard people talking. Noticing her nakedness, she rushed to get dressed, thinking, "Lucky I bought a jacket to cover all the hickeys Neo gave me." After throwing on some clothes, she left the room to see who Neo was talking to.

When she saw her sister, she immediately said, "Kyedae, Tenz, you're here! What are you doing here? Did you change your mind and want to come to the auction?" Sakura walked over to them. "Ah, sorry, Neo, you have visitors. I only saw Kyedae and Tenz," she apologized, realizing there were more people present.

"Don't worry about it! Hahaha, come sit here," Neo said, pointing to the chair beside him and Kyedae.

"Neo asked me to come here as a living proof because he was selling the medicine formula. You sure left quickly after we leave the house, huh?" Kyedae remarked.

"Of course! It's boring alone at home. I decided to come here, right, Neo?" Sakura grinned.

"Ahahaha, of course," Neo replied.

Soon, a doctor and a patient entered the room, excitement on their faces. "Sir, it works! She is fully recovered as if she never had the cancer!" one of the doctors exclaimed.

"We double-checked all the equipment, and the results were the same," another doctor added.

"Hello, thank you for helping me. I can start my life over again, thanks to this opportunity," the girl expressed gratefully.

"No worries. I told you it was true. We're good now, right?" Neo responded.

"Yes, yes! With this, the world will change!" Joaquin was ecstatic, eager to announce to the world that cancer is now curable.

"I'll send you the money when I return to headquarters. I also need to discuss everything with the board," Joaquin said.

"Okay, our business is concluded. Is there anything else?" Neo asked. Before Joaquin could respond, his friend Willem spoke up.

"Can I ask something, Neo? You're the owner of the Neo Blue Diamond, right? Can you sell me something similar?" Willem inquired.

"And where did you get the information that I have more of that?" Neo asked, intrigued.

"When we were walking down your hallway, I noticed boxes full of jewelry. I only realized it because I was observing your house," Willem explained.

"Hahaha, you are observant! I do have something, but it's not blue; it's a pink diamond with 21,000 carats. Are you interested? I'm not keen on selling it, but I'll give you this opportunity. The current price of a pink diamond is $1.19 million per carat. What do you offer, King Willem?" Neo replied.

Willem thought hard, using a calculator and calling someone for assistance. Finally, he said, "$25 billion, not considering the size and rarity of the stone. I'll buy it for $70 billion." Willem wanted to own it, knowing he couldn't compete with the Blue Diamond. He needed to purchase it but not at an exorbitant price.

"If I auction this, $100 billion is a reasonable expectation. But for you, I'll let it go for $70 billion," Neo said, walking over to one of the boxes and pretending that the pink diamond was inside.

Willem knew that this type of diamond would skyrocket in value at auction. When he heard that Neo was willing to sell it for $70 billion, he was overjoyed.

"Here you go, King Willem. It's yours now. I have a small favor to ask: when you announce this, please mention that you bought it privately from 'Gray's Vault,'" Neo said. He believed promoting the shop would be beneficial when it eventually opens.

"No problem at all. After I make the announcement, I'm sure many people will reach out to you. But I must warn you, people's greed can be unpredictable; you need to be careful," Willem said, holding the pink diamond in his hand. He was mesmerized by its beauty and knew that displaying it in the museum would boost tourism from those eager to see it.

"I understand. Don't worry about us; I have preventive measures in place for situations like that, hahaha," Neo replied.

"If you say so, can I get your bank account information? I'll transfer the money to you immediately," Willem asked.

"Sure, here's my bank account. You know, Elon Musk has a net worth of $328 billion, right? Maybe I'll surpass him tonight, hahaha," Neo said.

Absolutely. Considering the value of the stone, not to mention the formula you sold to Joaquin, you will be the first person to have a trillion dollars. Most of your money is liquid rather than tied up in assets. Your personal bank is lucky to have you."

"He certainly is." I pondered whether I should buy the bank using the system. Owning it would give my family a legitimate business. I should think about it more later.

"Neo, we need to leave now. I have to hurry and file a patent for this and thank you again for trusting me. Are you coming too, Willem?" Joaquin asked.

"Yes. Now that I have this, I don't need to watch them fight over the blue diamond. Thank you again, Neo, for selling this to me. I've already sent the money to your bank.
