Modern World Warlock-Chapter 269: Vincent’s Return
When Netherius and Wolfram arrived at their mansion in Limsa, accompanied by his five Death Knights, they made their way to a back room.
Inside, all of the body parts that could be recovered from Vincent were placed in the center of the empty room after he blew himself up with explosives.
Bone shards, muscle tissue, and blobs of blood were all gathered into one big, gory pile that would have made any average person throw up.
"You really meant it? Bringing Vincent back, I mean…" Wolfram commented, covering his nose from the stench of the room.
"Naturally. I liked Vincent's way of doing things. He also made a pact with me…" Netherius replied, approaching the pile of meat.
"Besides, he was key for our international business with the other cartels, so it would be quite a waste if I just let him die so miserably…" the necromancer continued.
"Do as you will. I don't really care either way," Wolfram commented, shrugging with utter disinterest.
As Netherius stood before the gory mess, he lifted his arm and pointed his palm forward, producing a vast amount of necrotic energy that began to flow around him violently.
"Reconstruction," Netherius chanted, producing a swirling dark energy around the remains.
Piece by piece, the body began to reassemble, snapping the bones into place and knitting the flesh together under the malevolent force of his spell.
When the final tendrils of shadow coalesced, the lifeless body of Vincent stood anew, wholly covered in stitch scars as if he was put together by a tailor.
Wolfram let out a slight whistle, impressed at how Vincent's body looked, as he expected him to look more "damaged." While the man was riddled with scars, at least he looked human.
Still, his body had been reconstructed, but Vincent was still lifeless, so Netherius continued with his ritual.
"Necrotic Pact: Commence!" Netherius chanted, unleashing a powerful aura that could be felt all over the mansion.
The pact between Vincent and Netherius had been established years ago, mere days after Netherius took over Darius' corpse.
Eight years ago, before the Onyx Cartel decided to mess with the other mafia factions, Vincent had planned on betraying his two partners, Darius and Ruben.
Surprisingly, Vincent succeeded with his scheme and personally shot both Darius and Ruben in the head when they weren't paying attention.
Vincent wanted to obtain complete control of the cartel, knowing that Darius and Ruben liked to play by the rules set by the mafia factions, so he ended their lives.
However, his entire scheme was instantly foiled when Darius stood up from his seat after receiving a shot in the head, startling Vincent, who emptied his whole mag on his victim out of fear.
After taking six more shots to the chest, Darius looked at his injuries and raised an eyebrow, glancing at the bald, afraid man.
Of course, Vincent didn't know it at that time, but he had indeed ended Darius's life. However, right as Darius died, Netherius cast his reincarnation spell in Terra, bringing his spirit into his corpse and reanimating it as undead.
It was a lucky occurrence for the necromancer and a terribly unlucky situation for Vincent, who didn't have a choice but to comply with Netherius after the necromancer explained who he really was.
Initially, Vincent didn't believe Netherius' words, even though he was still alive. Hence, the necromancer showcased his powers by killing all of the servants in the mansion and using the necrotic energy to bring Wolfram's spirit into Ruben's corpse.
It took a few days, but Vincent ended up happily serving Netherius' desires after the necromancer offered him immortality as an undead.
Vincent was free to do anything he wanted as long as it didn't affect the status of the cartel, leading him to make a pact with Netherius so that he could turn into a Death Knight if her ever passed away.
In the present, his necrotic pact had begun, and as Netherius plucked Vincent's soul from the Sea of the Dead, he placed it in his lifeless, reconstructed body.
Right as Vincent opened his eyes, he took a deep breath and exhaled loudly.
"AAHHH!" Vincent shouted, clenching his fists with rage.
"That bitch! I won't forgive her!" He continued yelling.
After coming back to life, the first thing that Vincent remembered was the humiliating death he received under Lilith's mind control.
"My farm… All my work… Ahhhh! I will kill and defile that bitch, I swear!" Vincent muttered, holding his head with frustration and anger.
Once Vincent calmed down, Netherius gave him a quick run-down of their current situation and how they were at war with the other mafia factions, making Vincent sneer with a somewhat maniacal expression.
"Now, for my final preparation…" Netherius said, making his way to a different room in the mansion.
Inside, an amalgamation of fused dead bodies sat in the center of the empty, dark room.
The structure had no proper shape or form, as it looked almost like a flower bud made of bloody flesh and bones.
"Hah… Reconstruction," Netherius chanted, pointing his palm at the amalgamation, shaping two extremities and a warped, eerie face with no eyes.
As Netherius opened his palm, a small dark green orb appeared on top of it, making the necromancer smile with pure evil plastered on his face.
"It's our turn to show how serious our threats are…" Netherius muttered.
"Oh, is that the soul of the Spring woman?" Wolfram inquired.
Netherius nodded affirmatively, sneering as he approached the amalgamation and stuck the orb against it, shattering it and infusing Lexia Spring's soul with the unshapely abomination. freewёbnoνel.com
Wolfram raised an eyebrow as he felt slightly uncomfortable when the stretched face of the monster began to whimper in pain.
"Bro-ther… I'm… So-rry…" Lexia's words could be heard coming out, but the voice sounded like multiple people talking at once.
On the other hand, Netherius chuckled at the woman's suffering, stating that she would be a great gift to the Azure Rebels.
"Now, let's go ahead and start the fun," the necromancer said, fully prepared for his encounter with his enemies.
