As Asphodel's fierce offense continued, she hadn't stopped waving her rapier for a single moment.

The pressurized trails of blood that struck Netherius slowly burned through his bone armor, and when Asphodel's grin grew wider, she cast a spell that generated a massive blood shockwave, sending the necromancer dozens of meters away from her.

More pieces of Netherius' bone armor hit the ground as his defense slowly crumbled. Still, the man was not ready to give up and mustered all of his strength to absorb the remaining necrotic energy from the necropolis.

When his spell activated, Asphodel couldn't continue her attacks as it felt like gravity was pushing her back whenever she tried to approach the necromancer.

Nevertheless, the vampire mother felt a bit satisfied when she saw the death ichor that was corrupting her surroundings slowly shrinking toward Netherius.

The streets that were once covered in the deathly substance were utterly cleared after Netherius absorbed all of its power, and while it was great news for Dante and his companions, the amount of power that oozed from Netherius was still a big problem.

His bone armor and injuries regenerated in an instant, making Asphodel scoff without taking her eyes off her enemy.

As the gravitational push around Netherius faded away, the necromancer fixed his gaze on the vampire mother, and in the blink of an eye, he had already appeared a few meters in front of her.

Asphodel took a step back when she tried to avoid Netherius' claws from reaching her, but the necromancer was moving too quickly, and right as his sharpened fingers were about to make contact with her face, numerous blood threads held Netherius back.

The thin, red threads snared all of the necromancer's extremities to halt his movement, which gave leeway for Asphodel to gain distance from him.

On one side of the street, Balthazar was holding his arm forward while controlling the threads.

After a whole building had been demolished on top of the elder vampire, he still managed to get out from the debris and continue helping his mother.

His elegant suit was ripped to shreds, and the lenses on his sunglasses were shattered, prompting him to take them off and show his ruby-colored eyes.

When Netherius turned his head and noticed Balthazar, a wave of blue flames appeared around him and burned the threads holding him back.

Without wasting a second, the necromancer switched targets and rushed toward Balthazar, believing that the blood threads were the most annoying spell to deal with.

Nonetheless, after taking a few quick steps forward, Varamor came crashing down from the sky and landed in front of the necromancer.

The Dragon King's landing produced a small crater on the ground, even though he only had his right arm since Netherius had severed his left.

His diversion worked wonders as Asphodel relished the opportunity to strike from behind, stabbing the necromancer's back with her rapier.

However, the restored bone armor prevented the blade from stabbing his body, leading to a counter-attack that pushed back the vampire mother.

The three of them kept fighting Netherius without a break, knowing that they had to keep their momentum going so that the necromancer would run out of power.

Now that the death ichor had been fully absorbed, they knew that they were on the last stretch before the end of the battle, so they couldn't take a moment to rest.

As the skies that were darkened by the corruption began to clear out and show the night sky behind it, the battle grew more intense.

In the midst of their relentless attacks, Netherius managed to find an opening and struck Balthazar in the chest with his clawed hands, making his blood spill out before getting pushed back with overwhelming force.

Varamor wanted to take the opportunity to strike, but Netherius still avoided his offense and used his "Death Art: Ruin" to protect himself.

When the Dragon King felt his remaining arm was crumbling, he instantly bolted backwards to escape from the destructive spell, allowing Asphodel to shoot beams of pressurized blood from a distance.

Even though her blood attacks were slowly cracking his bone armor once again, Netherius turned his attention towards Asphodel, and before she could react, the necromancer had appeared in front of her and clawed her face, leaving three bloody marks.

Nevertheless, Asphodel didn't simply take the attack and decided to respond in kind, using all of her strength to stab Netherius with her rapier. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

The vampire mother's blade stabbed through the necromancer's bone armor all the way to his back. Still, he didn't react to the pain and cast another "Death Art: Ruin" that struck Asphodel.

The woman felt an excruciating pain all over her body, and she had to concentrate mana all around her so that her extremities wouldn't explode from the pressure.

However, she still received enough damage to get pushed back like a ragdoll, leaving her unconscious atop a pile of debris.

Not even a second after Asphodel was blasted away, Dante and the ghostly figure of Beatrice rejoined the fray, which made Netherius slightly nervous, knowing that his magic was at a disadvantage.

A bolt of golden lightning crashed down on Netherius' location, but the man had already seen that spell before, so he wouldn't fall for it again so easily.

After the necromancer avoided the first lightning strike, his eyes widened in disbelief when he saw numerous streaks of the same type raining all around him, leaving him no other choice but to quickly run in all directions.

As Netherius focused on avoiding the hundreds of golden lightning streaks crashing down upon him, he didn't notice he had advanced straight towards Dante.

Without saying a word, Dante took a fighting stance and gave Netherius an uppercut to the chin that completely shattered his bone mask, allowing Dante to see the gush of blood coming from his mouth.

"Light," Dante muttered, generating another blinding flash of light from his hands that produced a powerful shockwave, raising the pieces of debris slightly from the ground.
