Chapter 1510

Be it Nighteye, Qianye, or Song Zining, all of them had gotten used to Anwen’s outlandish ideas. Ye, on the other hand, wasn’t so familiar.

Anwen tapped the image of Evernight and revealed an image of the Radiant Sun. “The sun will release daybreak origin power no matter which trajectory it follows. The funnel that connects Evernight to the inner world will only last for a limited time, and it can’t fully cancel out the effects of the sun even when it’s expanded. The best outcome is actually for the sun to return whence it came.”

Qianye and Song Zining exchanged glances.

Ye said, “The vessel can leave the sun and return to the Immortal Heaven on its own.”

Anwen pointed at the human continents and pushed them toward the sun. “Since we have so many people returning to the Immortal Heavens, we can push the human continent onto the sun’s trajectory. When the sun returns to the Immortal Heavens, the continents will follow it along the way. This will probably make things easier for the travelers on this long long journey. That way, we’ll have eliminated the transportation problem.”

Everyone exchanged glances.

Anwen said, “This isn’t impossible. In fact, I’ve already calculated their orbit around the sun. This is the trajectory of the first continent, the second one goes like this, the third…”

A tangle of lines appeared around the sun, but Qianye couldn’t tell them apart anyway. All he could see were different tangled lines.

Everyone was just staring at Anwen as though they had seen a ghost.

Anwen scratched his head. “Okay, the orbits look a bit confusing, but we can actually split them into three parts. The first phase is where the sun orbits around the Evernight World. During this phase, we will be pushing the continent into orbit. The second phase is where we push the radiant sun out of the Evernight World. The continents will accelerate along with it, but the path will only stabilize in the third phase. We must also consider the gravitational pull from Evernight’s sun, which makes things a bit more complicated.”

It was just that those tangled kelp-like lines were more than just complicated.

Lady Ye could hardly hide her surprise. “How did you calculate all that? Even those in the Immortal Heavens might not be able to accomplish this.”

As someone who had dabbled in divination, she knew just how complicated those trajectories were.

“I modified the apparatus in the Hall of Fate… just a little bit,” Anwen whispered.

Predica’s expression turned dark. It was just that he couldn’t act out with Qianye and Nighteye at the scene. Otherwise, he might’ve pounced at Anwen.

Now that the cat was out of the bag, Anwen continued, “After the modification, I was able to route a small portion of the apparatus’ power to perform calculations. That increased my computational power by seven hundred times. I also modified my own calculation methods so that they only require one-tenth of the initial resources. In that way, I was able to calculate the continents’ orbits.”

Everyone listened incredulously.

Anwen was used to this response. In fact, he felt that it was the right opportunity to introduce his personal ideas.

“Everyone, the situation in Evernight is vastly different right now. Under His Majesty Qianye’s leadership, I believe that humans and the sacred races of Evernight will be able to live together from now on. Hence…”

Predica jumped to his feet and roared, “Forget about touching the fate apparatus!”

Anwen looked a bit embarrassed after having his plans seen through. “Half of it will work too.”

“Not one bit more!”

Song Zining seemed thoughtful. “How much more can you calculate if you have the entire fate apparatus?”

Anwen’s eyes lit up. “At least three thousand times! And that’s just the original mechanism. I think there are many places that I can optimize, or I can even install new models. With it, the secrets of this world will be no more. Everything will become transparent before the calculation power!”

Predica was anxious now. He said to Qianye, “Your Majesty, the fate apparatus is our demonkin race’s.”

“How about you lend it out?” Song Zining smiled.

“No!” Predica was firm with his decision, which made Anwen feel a bit dejected.

“Fine.” Song Zining was unexpectedly easy-going today.

Predica glanced at him suspiciously. “What are you plotting?”

As the great prophet of this generation, Predica knew that they had lost utterly in the centuries-long fight between prophets and diviners. The man had no more desire to compete against Lin Xitang, and he didn’t dare look down on the young Song Zining, who was known as the marshal’s successor.

Song Zining chuckled. “Name a price.”

“What?”

“For the Hall of Fate!”

Predica slammed the table. “This is the demonkin race’s treasure, there’s no way we’ll sell it.”

“It has been partially modified, no?” Song Zining smiled.

Predica was at a loss for words. All he could do was glare at Anwen.

Song Zining continued, “It’s already incomplete, so it’s not worth much.”

“Sacred treasures are priceless!”

“True, true.” Song Zining fell into contemplation.

“What are you thinking about?” Predica had a bad feeling.

“I’m thinking how much it’ll cost to build a new one.”

“Impossible! If you can build a new Hall of Fate, I’ll…” Predica wanted to say something, but he quickly remembered that the humans now had the backing of the Immortal Heavens.

Song Zining ignored Predica and said to Anwen, “Does it have to be the same fate apparatus?”

“Not necessarily, but this apparatus makes it easier to accept void origin power.”

“Why don’t we build a new… calculation machine based on divination?”

Anwen’s eyes lit up.

Predica could no longer sit still. “That won’t do!”

“Why not?”

“Anwen is a demonkin. We’ve always assumed the role of prophets, and he’s a genius prophet, to begin with.”

“Prophecy is useless now.”

This was the undeniable truth, so Predica didn’t have an argument for that. The human divination art stemmed from the Immortal Heavens. It was a power that had toyed with the Evernight World for centuries. It could even produce a miracle like the Chronicle of Glory. If it wasn’t for Qianye stopping the emissary, the entire Evernight World would’ve been destroyed.

Song Zining said, “Also, who says the demonkin cannot cultivate divination?”
