"It seemed like the others have already arrived," said a bulky tiger beastman looking toward the city.

His words confused me as there are people everywhere, tens of thousands of them, going in and out of lake command.

There is not only a lake command here, but also a huge city around it. Which is still hiding many treasures and sometimes people end up finding really great things there.

We are outside the city, and it seemed like we will be camping here.

I was looking toward the place where the bulky tiger beastman is looking, when suddenly. I saw three people coming toward us. All three are Peak Sovereigns and belonged to different races.

The one on the left is stone skin, with cream-colored stone skin. On the right is nem, a dark blue skin man with metallic horns, and the middle one is iras woman, and I know she is from an arma family.

In the information, I had brought in Klahan. There was information about her. Ura had also talked about her.

As they appeared in front of the bulky tiger beastman. I felt iras women's eyes drifting toward me for a moment before they focused back on the beastman.

"Wow, I don't think you three would come to welcome us," said the bulky tiger beastman with a grin. "Cut the bullshit, Rost. We have come to negotiate, but you need to have a key for that." Said nem man.

"You don't need to worry about that," he said with a grin and flashed the key for a moment.

This one is yellow. It seemed like all four keys have different colors.

"Let's go then," said the iras woman. After a moment of hesitation, he flew toward them and soon, four of them disappeared.

He seemed to have said something to other beastmen. As they set the perimeter, but did not put down abodes.

It did not matter to me, as I begin to search for the resources.

These past ten days had been nearly a waste to me. I had more productive days with iras race than this beastmen. For more than a week, I had been confined to the room.

The days that would have been better spent exploring opportunities in this place. One rarely comes across such ruins, but these bastards do not seem to care about that.

The only thing they want is an inheritance.

I moved around and they did not stop me. Though I could feel the powerful presence of Reggie and bam always in the background. They are keeping their eyes on me. I could always feel their soul sense like a shackle.

"Human, come back," said Reggie, and I stopped in my tracks and went back.

Just when I reached them, I found Reggie's energy picking me up, and I was flying again. This time, we had entered the city and continued flying for more than ten minutes before stopping.

I couldn't help but become surprised at the place where we had landed.

It is an open area, which already has abodes, belonging to three powerful families. I even spotted a couple of familiar people, Reta Ura and others, who stared at me, before turning their gazes at Reggie and others.

We all landed, and within a second, the three abodes had been set up.

"We will leave in half a day. So, take as much rest as you could," said Reggie, as we entered the square white crystalline abode.

It also seemed to have made of some special crystal, because energies here are very mellowed, that I am absorbing it with no conscious effort.

I nodded at Reggie and walked toward the room while cursing my luck hard.

It is clear these bastards negotiated something with the other three races. I wanted them to fight and kill each other, instead they were working together. It will make my job extremely difficult.

I could do nothing about it, other than five a way to escape.

I wish I had more information. All I know, they are for the Clear Lake inheritance, and they have the keys needed for it. The keys are important to enter the inheritance palace, and the more keys one has, the more people one will be able to take inside.

It is all I know. I do not have any map of inheritance or anything. Just a few lines of information.

Soon, I reached the room and slept as they had said. I slept for four hours before freshening and eating. As I did with that, I sat crossed legs in a small space and started practicing the refinement method.

This is the medicine; I had crafted in my core a day ago. It is to help me with managing the side effects of the method on me.

With that done, I lay on the bed and simply close my eyes, and went to my core.

"Human, it is time," said Reggie a few hours later.

I opened my eyes a moment later and appeared in the hall where all the yellow-strip tiger beastmen had gathered.

"So, you all understood what you have to do?" asked the bulky tiger beastman. "Yes," they all replied in unison.

"Let's go then," he said, and we walked out of the abode.

As we walked out, I found the members of other families too had walked out of their abodes. They have a similar number, with each group having no more than twenty-six people.

As I look around, my eyes fell on one person in the nem race group and I couldn't help but become surprised.

Kara?

That girl is Kara. My neighbor for a day whom I had invited for the dinner. She is in nem race's group, with impassive expressions on her face.

"She is also the runemaster that the Davais family had found here." Informed Ban, seeing me looking at her.

A captive like me. I couldn't help but say to myself. There is a high chance that she is a captive like me. There is also a big chance she is with them. I am glad I had my armor on, despite my face and aura being different.

"Since everybody is ready, legs go," said the iras woman, leading the group and flew up.

The other groups followed behind and soon, all of us flew toward the lake command.

Looking at the lake command, I couldn't help but feel excited about it. There are many opportunities in this place. If I were to escape, I would really like to check out the few things inside it.

I just hope, I could escape, but seeing such a large number of people, with more than half of them being sovereign. It seemed likely the case.

Still, I am going to try my all.
