Currently, his only offensive wood element spell is the Wood Control spell. But before he can use the seeds for it, they have to be growing. So as he held them, he began to cast the Plant Growth spell.

It will take about five seconds before he can finish casting the spell. The golem wasn't going to give him that much time.

The golem had begun rushing towards him as soon as it could move. When it saw what he was doing, its red eyes flashed, and it put away its shield and sword.

It attached the two of them to its hips. Then it brought out its bow and used its internal energy to form arrows.

The arrows it formed were solid and yellow. They didn't look like arrows. Instead, they milled more like thin blades.

The golem took aim at him and then released the arrow. All of these took less than two seconds.

This is the advantage of body refiners. Their attacks are usually fast.

The golem was already preparing a second arrow even as it continued to rush towards him. It was producing arrows and shooting them every second.

If not for the fact that it takes time to condense the arrow with its internal energy, its rate of attack with the bow will be higher.

The golem had accelerated quickly and had reached its top speed in one second. So it will cover the distance of 2,000 meters and reach him in about 34.3 seconds.

So he still has time to prepare before the golem reaches him. But the arrow that was shot only used one second to reach him.

It had been three seconds since the fight started when the arrow reached him. During that time, he was busy casting the Plant Growth Spell and hadn't achieved anything else. So unless he dodged the arrow, there was no way he wouldn't be eliminated instantly.

But if he decides to dodge the arrow, he will have to move his body, which will cause his mind to be distracted from casting his spell. At the very least, his spellcasting will be paused. At worst, his spellcasting will be interrupted, and he will have to start all over again.

There were no consequences because he wasn't the one casting the Plant Growth spell. It was one of his phantoms casting the Plant Growth spell. His mind was focused on the battle, moving his body, and making judgments.

He dodged the first arrow because he had anticipated it and moved as soon as the arrow left the bow. If he had waited until after it was shot to dodge it, he wouldn't have been able to dodge it.

The fast arrow was easy to dodge, but the subsequent arrows were more difficult to dodge because the golem was getting closer to him.

The speed of the arrow remained the same, blitzing fast at 2,000 meters per second, while the distance it needed to travel was reducing. So the arrow was reaching him in shorter and shorter amounts of time.

In a few seconds more, he wouldn't be able to dodge. To prevent that from happening, he began running away from the golem.

He did this right after the second arrow. He moved away from the golem to create more distance between the two of them, and he didn't stop moving so that it would be more difficult for the golem to target him.

He was faster than the golem despite being at the same cultivation level as it and despite the golem being more skillful than him at moving his body, so the golem couldn't catch up to him. The golem could only watch helplessly as he finished casting the Plant Growth spell.

It had been five seconds since the fight started. This was also the time his second phantom was done casting the Wood Control Spell. So he had been doing three things at once.

This is another benefit of Mountain Foundation. The two phantoms have the same mental power as him and can be used for mental tasks.

Using them to comprehend techniques only costs an insignificant amount of mental energy. But using them to cast spells costs the same amount of mental energy and time that it would have taken him to cast the spell.

However, he doesn't consider the cost of mental energy to be a problem or a disadvantage. He has nothing to complain about being able to multitask.

As soon as the Plant Growth spell kicked in and the seed began to grow, Wood Control also kicked in and shaped the plants into the shape of large vines.

He made their branches and leaves diminutive while concentrating all their growth into their stem so they looked like vines. These vines were about 10 meters long and as thick as clubs.

There were six vines in total, all with different colors. Their roots coiled around his torso while their stems moved around him like tentacles.

After doing this, he began casting the energy shield spell, took out his golden bow, and began running towards the golem.

The golem was started by the development. What just happened was unexpected. It didn't expect that the mind of a cultivator at the second transformation could multicast.

That was something that cultivators at the third transformation of energy refining could barely do. It is just barely, not something that they can do easily and certainly not something that cultivator at the second transformation should be able to do.
