Chapter 103 -103: Tragic_1
Mu Yingchen listened as the names Su Wanxia and Meng Can were bandied about in discussions, a faint frown creasing his brow.
Then, with an air of detachment, he addressed everyone, “Since there are no objections, we’ll settle the plan as it is.”
“Agreed.”
“Agreed.”
People expressed their agreement one after another, then debated over the plan designed by Wen Lingya for a while, concluding that Su Wanxia and Meng Can should make some alterations based on what’s usable and discard the rest that isn’t.
Wen Lingya’s nails almost pierced her palms, but only by doing this could she contain the resentment in her heart.
Her hard work dismissed in just a few words—why did no one consider her feelings? Those were the designs she’d labored over day and night. How could they so casually reject them?
If Su Wanxia was to revise on the basis of her design, would it still be her work, Wen Lingya’s work?
But now that everyone had agreed to the proposal, her reluctance was futile.
After all, when it came down to real talent, she was indeed no match for Su Wanxia and Meng Can.
The meeting lasted two hours before finally concluding.
Meng Can called for Su Wanxia to rise, but Su Wanxia just gave a dry laugh, “Heh heh, Can, you go on ahead, I’ll wait a bit longer.”

Caught off guard by her words, Meng Can paused, then nodded his head with a smile, saying okay. Before leaving, he gave her a deep look and cast a sideways glance at Mu Yingchen, who remained seated at the head of the table.
A bitter smile played upon his lips before he turned and left.
One by one, the individuals in the office stood up and left, but Su Wanxia showed no sign of wanting to leave.
Ji Hua stood up, glanced at the firmly seated Su Wanxia and Mu Yingchen, shrugged his shoulders, pulled a face, and sauntered toward the door.
With Ji Hua’s departure, the conference room was left with only Su Wanxia, Mu Yingchen, Aisha, and Bai Yudie.
Bai Yudie stood behind Mu Yingchen, her gaze practically piercing holes in Su Wanxia.
Mu Yingchen, sitting at the head, raised an eyebrow, his gaze settling on the person who kept her head down in silence, not speaking, nor leaving. He slightly curved his lips, thinking she must have something to discuss with him.
“You two go ahead,” he said, addressing Aisha and Bai Yudie behind him.
“Yes, President Mu,” Aisha promptly agreed, then glanced at the silent Bai Yudie, waiting for her to leave together.
Bai Yudie, hearing Mu Yingchen’s words, felt an increased sense of resentment. This Su Wanxia, in broad daylight, is just shamelessly seducing Brother Chen!
“Yudie, let’s go,” Aisha called to the motionless Bai Yudie.
Reluctantly, Bai Yudie cast a final glance at Su Wanxia and sulkily followed Aisha out.
Now the conference room contained only Su Wanxia and Mu Yingchen.
Mu Yingchen looked at her still bowed head, then asked, “Do you have something to discuss with me?”
Su Wanxia lifted her head to give a dry laugh, her smile seemingly off to Mu Yingchen.
“No,” she replied.
“No?” he asked, his expression growing stern.
“Yes.”
“Then why are you still here?” Mu Yingchen asked, his displeasure evident.
Her lips twitched, and inwardly she muttered, she was waiting for him to leave, waiting until she was the only one left in the meeting room.
But she stammered, uncertain of what to say, her face growing redder by the second.
Mu Yingchen’s suspicion deepened with every passing moment, and he stood up from the head of the table, striding towards her.
Panic struck Su Wanxia, “What are you doing?”
“What are you doing sitting here?”
“I—I—”
Mu Yingchen frowned, “What’s wrong?”
Su Wanxia listlessly let her shoulders droop, and said in a small voice, “My period came—”
“Hmm?” Mu Yingchen was puzzled. “What came?”
That really irritated Su Wanxia. This guy isn’t dumb, is he? How can he not understand such simple words?
“It’s that–” she whispered again.
“Which ‘that’?” Mu Yingchen was even more puzzled. What on earth was she talking about?
Su Wanxia’s temples throbbed. Gritting her teeth, she looked up and shouted at Mu Yingchen’s confused face, “My aunt flo is visiting!”
Initially, Mu Yingchen was a bit startled, but then his expression turned to one of sudden realization.
Seeing his reaction, Su Wanxia knew he definitely understood this time. If he hadn’t, then his IQ must be really low.
A deep amusement flashed in Mu Yingchen’s eyes, and the curve of his lips grew even wider.
Only then did Su Wanxia start to feel embarrassed. She lowered her head, pressing her hands to her forehead, thoroughly depressed.
Her period had always been like clockwork, guaranteed to show up on schedule.
That morning on her way to the office, she had quietly calculated the time in her head.
But once she got to work and got busy, she completely forgot about it, resulting in her not taking any precautions in advance.
Who would have thought that in the middle of the meeting, it would turn up so suddenly.
But it was a disaster for her, as she was wearing a beige knit jumpsuit today. She didn’t even need to look to know it was stained.
Oh God–why was she so unlucky today? The materials disappeared without a trace, leaving her in chaos, and then she was five minutes late, making so many people wait for her.
Now here she was, messed up by her period, well–in a rather embarrassing state. She didn’t dare stand up. If anyone saw her, they’d laugh her to death.
Mu Yingchen looked at Su Wanxia with a mixture of helplessness and indulgence, his gorgeous, magnetic voice tinged with laughter, “So what are we going to do?”
Su Wanxia glared at him and thought: What’s so funny? Stop laughing!
“Then–wear my clothes,” Mu Yingchen said, starting to undo the buttons on his suit.
“No way.” Su Wanxia immediately spoke up to stop him.
“Then I’ll carry you out.”
“No.”
“Then stand up and let me see. Maybe it’s not that noticeable?”
“No!” Su Wanxia’s voice grew considerably louder. Was this man deliberately looking to make fun of her? Stand up for him to look? No way, she could feel it for herself.
“Then what do you want? To sit here all day and not go out?” The amusement in Mu Yingchen’s eyes deepened.
Su Wanxia felt like crying without tears. Sitting here all day was definitely not an option, but with the state she was in now, she really couldn’t face people.
Mu Yingchen, seeing her distressed look, gave a helpless laugh, then took his suit off and draped it over her.
“Now it won’t be visible.”
Su Wanxia looked at the coat on her body, then at Mu Yingchen, whose face was full of smiles, and she pouted involuntarily.
There were so many people outside, and wearing his clothes around the office would be a spectacle. Just thinking about it made her feel like she’d be viewed as crazy.
“Others will think I’m sick,” she said unconsciously.
“If you don’t want to wear it, being carried out is also an option,” said Mu Yingchen with an eager look on his face.
Su Wanxia gave him a disdainful glance. She wasn’t that finicky to let him carry her out.
“So tell me, wear the clothes or let me carry you,” Mu Yingchen stated simply and directly.
Su Wanxia’s mouth twitched. Why did that sound so awkward?
She huffed, annoyed, “Neither!”
