They all wear earmuffs and carry what looks like a large potted plant in their hands.

"Mandela!" Neville shouted as he ran, turning his head to Harry, "Get ready to throw them over the wall—let them taste!"

"We can use Gwen and the twins' jumping machines." Luna jumped and followed, holding a bucket of potted plants, "That thing can make mandrakes bounce farther. ."

Now Harry knows where to go. He ran away, with Hagrid and Fang following behind. They passed portrait after portrait, the people running with them, the witches and wizards in ruffled collars, breeches, armour, and capes, crowding into other people's frames, shouting about the castle news elsewhere. They ran to the end of this corridor, the whole castle was shaking, a huge vase suddenly burst and shattered from its base, so Harry knew that at this moment the castle was controlled by another kind of magic, than the teachers and the members of the Order of the Phoenix. Spells are far more evil.

"It's alright, Fang—it's alright!" Hagrid shouted, but the shattered pieces of porcelain splashed through the air like shrapnel, making the Hound flee in panic. Hagrid tom tom ran after it, leaving Harry alone.

Harry quickly turned a corner and found Fred and a small group of students, including Lee Jordan and Hannah Abbott, standing next to another empty plinth where the statue had been hidden with a secret passage. These men, all with wands, gathered in hidden holes to listen.

"What a great night!" Fred exclaimed. The castle trembled again, and Harry rushed over excitedly and frightened. As he ran down another corridor, there were owls flying everywhere, and Mrs Norris hissed and slapped with her claws, no doubt trying to drive them back to their proper place...

"Potter!"

Aberforth Dumbledore stood in the corridor ahead, wand in hand.

"Hundreds of kids running through my bar, Potter!"

"I know, we're evacuating," said Harry, "Voldemort—"

"—on the offense because they didn't hand you over, I know." Aberforth said, "I'm not deaf, and the whole village of Hogsmeade heard him. Didn't anyone think of keeping a few Slytherins as hostages? The children of the Death Eaters who were safely evacuated just now. Wouldn't it be smarter to keep them here?"

"That wouldn't stop Voldemort," said Harry, "and your brother would never do that."

Aberforth grumbled in dissatisfaction, and strode away in the other direction.

Your brother would never do that...yes, exactly that, Harry thought as he kept running. Dumbledore had defended Snape for so long, he would never take a student hostage...

A familiar figure appeared out of Harry's corner, or two.

"Hogwarts is cooler now," said the handsome dark-haired wizard, "I didn't think my first class was dueling."

"Little Sirius!" He ran over, not caring about his conjecture about the Horcrux for a while. "Why are you here? Kreacher, why did you bring him here?"

The old elf pulled his master's sleeve hard, shaking with anger, "I want to take Sirius to hide, but he is stubborn...disobedient..."

Sirius gave Harry a big hug and was immediately drawn to the fight downstairs. His eyes narrowed, reflecting the flames ignited by the spell.

"Why do I want to punch that guy," he said, staring at the clawing Death Eater, casting a curse at him very gracefully.

"Don't worry about him." An elegant lady quickly pulled Sirius to stand behind her. "I'm watching him, Harry. Go about your business."

The appearance of Amelia Burns made Harry barely relieved. He really couldn't delay any longer, otherwise only more people would be at risk. Harry slid around the last corner, and suddenly cried out in relief and annoyance. He saw them, Ron and Hermione, both holding something big, crooked, yellow, and dirty in their arms, and Ron had a broom under his arm.

"Where the **** have you two been?" Harry shouted.

"The Chamber of Secrets," said Ron.

"M-what?" Harry said, staggering to a halt in front of them.

"It's Ron, it's Ron's idea!" Hermione panted with excitement, "It's wonderful, isn't it? After you left, I told Ron, even if I found it Another Horcrux, how to destroy it? So he remembered it! Basilisk!"

“What—?”

"The Horcrux thing," Ron said simply.

Harry's eyes fell on the things in Ron and Hermione's arms, only to realize that it was a large, curved tusk broken from a dead basilisk.

"How did you get in?" Harry asked, looking away from the Basilisk to Ron, "Need to speak Parseltongue!"

"He did!" Hermione whispered, "Tell him, Ron!"

Ron made an unpleasant, choking hiss.

"That's what you said at night when you had nightmares," he said apologetically to Harry, "but you've talked so much in your sleep, I'm not sure which word is the same as 'open' 'Almost. It took a few tries to get it right, but," he shrugged modestly, "we finally got in."

"He's divine!" said Hermione, "amazing!"

"You are so talented!" Harry shouted.

"It's nothing," said Ron, but he seemed satisfied with himself. "How are you?"

Before he finished speaking, there was a sudden explosion above their heads. The three looked up, dust fell from the ceiling, and then there was a shout in the distance.

"I know what the crown looks like and where it is." Harry said quickly, "He hid it where I kept that old Potions textbook for centuries. Everyone hid things there. He thought he was the only one who could find it. Let's go."

The walls were shaking again, and Harry led the two companions through the hidden entrance and downstairs to the Room of Requirement. It was empty, save for three women: Ginny, Tonks, and an old witch in a moth-eaten hat that Harry recognized as Neville's grandmother.

"Ah, Potter," she said crisply, as if waiting for him, "you can tell us about the situation."

"How are you all?" Ginny and Tonks asked at the same time.

"It's fine as far as we know," Harry said. "Are there people in the passage to the Hog's Head?" Harry knew that if there were people in the Room of Requirement, it couldn't transform .

"I was the last to come," said Mrs Longbottom, "and I sealed it up. Now that Aberforth has left the bar, it would be inappropriate to leave the passage open. Yes. Have you seen my grandson?"

"He's fighting," Harry said.

"Of course," said the old lady proudly, "excuse me, I have to help him." With that, she ran to the stone steps at an astonishing speed.

Harry looked at Tonks.

"Aren't you with little Teddy at your mother's house?"

"I can't stand being in the dark—" Tonks looked distressed. "My mother will take care of him—did you see Remus?"

"He's leading a team to the playground to fight—"

Tonks ran away without saying a word.

"Wait a minute!" Harry grabbed her, took off the Voldemort vest and handed it to the confused Tonks.

Perhaps Harry thought of his mother, maybe he didn't want his godson to lose his parents in infancy like himself. "Put it on, Tonks."

"Harry..." Hermione couldn't help but scold.

"Don't you understand, Hermione." Harry seemed to convince himself, "In the face of Voldemort, this vest can't stop his magic - he can only use Deathstroke. For Teddy's sake, Tonks, please put it on before you fight."

The purple-haired witch repeatedly refused, until Harry made a look of anger before wearing it randomly. Run towards the playground.

"Ginny," said Harry, "I'm sorry, we need you to leave too. Just a moment, then you can come in again."

Ginny seems eager to leave her shelter.

"Then you can come in again!" Harry saw Ginny running up the stone steps with Tonks, and shouted at her back, "You must come in again!"

"Wait!" Ron said suddenly, "We forgot who!"

"Who?" Hermione asked.

"House-elves, they're all down in the kitchen, aren't they?"

"You mean they should be in combat?" Harry asked.

"No," said Ron solemnly, "I mean they should be told to run away. Dobby is downstairs, right? They can't be asked to die for us—"

The basilisk teeth in Hermione's arms fell to the ground. She ran to Ron, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him on the lips. Ron dropped his fangs and broom, and responded with fiery passion, holding Hermione off the ground.

"Is this the right time?" Harry said in a lack of confidence, but Ron and Hermione hugged tighter, shaking slightly, Harry raised his voice, "Hey There's a war going on here!"

Ron and Hermione let go abruptly, but still put their arms around each other.

"I know, man," said Ron, who looked like he had been hit in the back of the head by a Bludger.

"Let's put this aside, what about the Horcrux?" Harry exclaimed, "
