My Formula 1 System-Chapter 333: Brazilian Grand Prix. 2
Similar to the Monaco Grand Prix, the Brazilian Grand Prix featured a crash on the opening lap. It was none other than Erik Haas of Trampos Racing.
He had DNFed in a very bad way, which meant an utter failure to finish, and the car was unable to be revived no matter how he tried.
Interlagos didn't have many barriers, so when Haas spun out of the track due to poor grip caused by the wet conditions, he basically tumbled into a trench and got stuck in its dip.A safety flag session was called, and the routine followed to make the track safe by removing Haas' Dallara.
XXX— Erik Haas
Luca wondered how Haas' crash would fuel Ansel's motivation to finish in the top ten.

Currently in the 5th Lap, Luca currently sat at P8. This was two spots below his starting position. It wasn't where he wanted to be, but the race was still at its early laps with more to come.
It wasn't a bad start for Luca, because he had successfully executed Grid Launch at lights out, and got a surprising immediate point to Slipsense & Rainborne at the 3rd Lap.

At lights out, using Grid Launch, Luca was able to overtake Nyström even before the line. This took him to P5 so early in the race, leaving a ranting Nyström in his wake.
However, a poorly calculated move, orchestrated by the slick track at Turn 5 in the 4th Lap, caused Luca to give an unfortunate gap to his left.
Lockwood, who overtook his teammate, Nyström back in the 2nd Lap, seized the gap. Nyström followed in tandem, and so did DiMarco.
Luca regained his line before Luis Dreyer could attempt anything to relegate him further.

P6— Elias Nyström ↑
P7— Davide DiMarco ↑
P8— Luca Rennick ↓
"WOOOOOOOOOOOHH!"
**You lost three spots there. Any big issues you feel with traction?**
"Track's still a bit wet. I had the inside, but it just wasn't sticking," Luca replied. "James squeezed in, and the others followed. I'm holding Luis off for now."
**Understood. Keep your lines clean, and we'll look for an opportunity to regain positions. Marcellus is at P2 now. We're holding steady**
"Great."
P8— Luca Rennick
P9— Luis Dreyer
P10— Ansel Hahn
Looking at the leaderboard, Luca just realized he was just two positions ahead of Ansel. It shocked him, because this was the closest they had ever been on the track after their wheel-to-wheel battle last year in Saudi Arabia.
When Luca entered a turn, his car tilted to the right in such a way that he got a very brief peripheral view of Ansel's red Trampos Dallara before he disappeared back into he and Dreyer's back.
Luca wondered if Ansel was hoping circumstances could bring them wheel-to-wheel where he might perform some underdog tricks and actually overtake Luca.
[Analyzing 9th Position's distance from host and Ferrari (JRX-92B)…]
[9th Position is 1.5 sec away, host.]
[10th Lap]
As the 10th Lap approached, Luca was delighted to receive a notification on a Corner Chopping point.
He remembered he had previously taken the Skill to (19), meaning the next point now would technically take it to (20), finally completing the Skill.
[Corner Chopping +1]
Dreyer had cussed over twenty times at Luca's defense. He had once touched Luca at the closing kinks to the home straight when he was once very close for an overtake.
After that touch, Dreyer knew it was wise to sit back a bit for at least one sector before he attempted an overtake again. If he kept pressing even after touching Luca and subtly disrupting his flow, race control would issue a warning for impeding or unsafe driving.
[Strength +1]
Back to the Corner Chopping, it had significantly added to the impressive early progress of the Sync Bar in this race.
[SYNC BAR: [][][][] 37.5%]
After that, the following notif was what Luca was eagerly waiting for.
[Corner Chopping Skill completed]
[New Car Skill Accumulating: 3/3]

"Please, don't repeat a skill," Luca silently prayed. "I need something fresh and new."
[Surge Pulse: 5]
Luca squinted at the new Skill with mistrust. He shook his head as he read it out aloud.
"Why do I feel like it sounds familiar?"
[Ding!]
[System has detected skill overlap.]
[Grid Launch→ Converted to Surge Pulse]
Luca sighed, shaking his head. "Oh, come on."
That explained it. "Surge Pulse" was just a glorified version of Grid Launch.
This was growth hindrance at its finest! After all that buildup—collecting skill shards, finally hitting 3/3—he got a repeat skill?!
Luca swore he was going to give a bad feedback on Professional Bundle's mechanics in getting a Car Skill.
[Optimizing...]
[Optimization successful.]

— Grid Launch +10 ]
[SYNC BAR: [][][][] 50%]
Luca stared at the system's interface with disappointment as 10 hefty EXP points were added to his Grid Launch Skill's value.
But as the numbers flicked in addition, his eyes slowly widened in awe.
[Grid Launch: 20 (+3)]
Luca couldn't believe it! Grid Launch had just been completed just like that!
One of the most important things in his arsenal had just been boosted by ten without any stress—only at the expense of a new Skill.
Although it was great to have yet another completed Self Skill, Luca still preferred getting a new Car Skill at this point.
He paused, noting the system wasn't done with its listing.
[New Car Skill Accumulating 1/3]
Exactly. The system was still under the temporary alteration that blocks the unlocking of new Self Skills and turns them into shards to unlock a Car Skill instead.
So, that means after completing Grid Launch, another cycle had just begun.
Luca also got a tool reward for achieving the sealed seven, which was the milestone for completing seven Self Skills.
[You have been reward with tools!
(1) Wrench]
1 Wrench seemed like a small tool reward for such a huge milestone, but Luca thought otherwise.
He believed it was the perfect timing to get a Wrench, especially when Catalysts have more odds to be given over Wrenches.
Luca wanted to store the Wrench right away, but he didn't want to forget it in this race where it seemed Sync Buff activation was a possibility.
So, he decided to use it right now, and he knew the exact spots to touch.

This was all the reassurance Luca needed. The 20-mark was within his grasp, the first milestone in the Car Status section.
"Use the Wrench on Handling, TW Management, and let's say.... Aerodynamics, system. And oh—thanks so much for this."
