Leon wiped the blood from the corner of his lips with a faint smile.

"Thank you for your guidance, Dragon Ancestor," he said respectfully, bowing with both hands clasped in front of him.

The Dragon Ancestor chuckled and waved his hand. "You're welcome, Fated One. I hope you continue to grow stronger and lead us to victory in the days ahead."

There was hope and longing behind his words. Leon gave a firm nod in response.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure of it," he replied seriously.

"Good!" The Dragon Ancestor smiled in satisfaction.

"Tsk! You two are unbelievable. Look at the state you're in—were you actually trying to kill each other?"

Athena's annoyed voice rang out from behind them. The two looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

"I'm sorry, Athena. I got carried away and used most of my strength," the Dragon Ancestor said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Ahem! Me too, Athena. I asked him to go all out so I could test my current strength. So don't blame him—blame me," Leon added sincerely, though there was a trace of guilt in his voice.

Athena and Miranda stopped about a meter away from them. At their words, Athena rolled her eyes in frustration.

"Either way, that was reckless. If you had been seriously hurt—or worse—it would've been a big problem," she said coldly.

Leon fell silent at her words. The fight with the Dragon Ancestor had only been training, not a battle to the death.

Although they had used nearly all their strength, both still knew their limits and made sure not to cause any fatal injuries.

But knowing that any explanation would only make Athena even angrier, Leon simply nodded in resignation.

"Alright, I was wrong. I'm sorry."

Athena gave a satisfied nod and smiled. "Good."

*Snap!*

She snapped her fingers, and a green light enveloped the bodies of both the Dragon Ancestor and Leon.

Within seconds, their wounds began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The fatigue in their bodies also slowly faded, allowing their strength and spirits to return.

Leon and the Dragon Ancestor quickly changed into new robes.

Their clothes had been torn and battered from the battle, leaving them looking like a pair of wandering beggars.

"By the way," Leon said as he straightened his robe and ran his fingers through his hair, "now that I've wrapped things up here, should I head to the Elven territory next?"

He glanced at Miranda and the Dragon Ancestor, as if waiting for their input.

While he had been given general knowledge about the hidden races, their exact locations remained a mystery to him.

That's why he still relied on the Dragon Ancestor to guide him.

Miranda stepped forward, stopping right in front of him.

With a soft, familiar touch, she helped tie the straps of his robe—like a gentle, understanding wife.

"Yes, we'll head to the Elven territory after this. But before that, I need your help with something, Master."

Her words caught Leon off guard. He raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "My help? With what?"

Miranda didn't answer right away. Instead, she turned to the Dragon Ancestor, silently asking him to speak.

Understanding her intent, the Dragon Ancestor straightened and began to speak in a calm, steady tone.

"Fated One, you still remember the story I told you about the Evil God's attack on Eryuentium, don't you? I survived that battle, but I was gravely wounded."

"The Evil God struck me directly. At first, the wound didn't seem serious. But as the battles continued, it worsened. Only after we finally managed to seal him away did I realize the damage ran much deeper than I thought."

Leon remained silent, listening closely.

"I used my long slumber to suppress the injury, but even now… it feels like poison is slowly eating away at me from the inside."

With that, the Dragon Ancestor removed his robe, revealing white bandages tightly wrapped around his body underneath.

He began to unwind them slowly—and when the last strip fell away, a horrifying wound was revealed.

It was black and gnarled, with dark red veins branching out like tree roots. The wound pulsed faintly, almost as if it were alive.

Leon's and Athena's eyes widened at the sight. Only Miranda remained composed, as if she had known about it all along.

"That..." Leon started to speak but faltered, swallowing his words.

The wound was so grotesque that it sent a chill down his spine.

Athena, however, was the most shocked. She knew her ancestor had suffered severe injuries in the past, battling an evil god.

But seeing the wound up close, in its horrifying state, she couldn't hide her shock—or the sadness that gripped her heart.

"Ancestor, you..." Athena's voice trembled as she was about to protest, her expression full of pain and her eyes welling up with tears, but the Dragon Ancestor cut her off.

"I know you're angry, and I'm sorry for that. I didn't want to add to your worries," he said softly, shaking his head with a weary sigh.

Athena fell silent, unsure of how to respond. Her ancestor had always been this way—never wanting to cause trouble or worry for his descendants.

It was this very selflessness that made her love him deeply, yet at times, it also made her feel annoyed.

"Is there any way to heal it?" Leon asked, his gaze fixed on the wound with determination.

Then, a thought struck him, and he looked at Miranda with a sudden realization. "What kind of help are you referring to... healing the wound?"

Miranda gave a faint smile and nodded. "That's right, Master. The wound was inflicted by the dark energy of the Evil God. The only way to heal it is through the combined power of chaos and holy power."

"I see." Leon let out a relieved breath, but his curiosity quickly returned. "Then... if only holy power and chaos power can heal that wound, why didn't you ask Hero Luminus Troya and Demon Emperor Amon Crimson for help in the first place?"

The Dragon Ancestor shook his head softly. "I did ask them, but they said it was impossible. Holy power and chaos power are opposing forces. If combined, they would cancel each other out."

"If they attempted to heal me, it would only end in my death... not recovery."

He paused, then met Leon's gaze with a look of utmost seriousness.

"But you are different, Fated One. You have the ability to unite both powers within you. That's why... you're the only one who can do it."

Leon understood the gravity of the situation. What the Dragon Ancestor said was true—holy power and chaos power were polar opposites.

They were like fire and water—impossible to merge. So, it was no exaggeration to say that someone like him, who could hold both powers simultaneously, was an anomaly.

With a determined nod, Leon replied, "Then let's do it!"
