Chapter 159: 159. Putting elves in place

It was time to show these elves who was really boss around here.

As I ascended into the sky, threads of ice spun from my fingertips, weaving together into jagged spears above my head. With a casual snap of my wrist, the frozen spikes rained down in a deadly barrage, all aimed straight at Thalindra.

She leapt up, throwing her arms skyward, summoning a sudden gust of wind magic to shield herself. But she was too late. Some of them spiked into her shoulders.

I grinned, my ice forming platforms beneath my boots like stepping stones in the sky. I kicked off them one after another, ascending until I hovered just above, standing proudly on a frozen platform.

"Come on, princess," I taunted, voice dripping with mockery. "Don’t tell me that’s all you’ve got."

Thalindra snarled, her pride wounded, and barked an order to the others, telling them to join the fight. They were hesitant, but they obeyed. One summoned a flaming bow, its string crackling with fire as she aimed at me. Meanwhile, Thalindra chanted under her breath, a swirling gust of smoke forming around her, shaping itself into a monstrous beast — a towering creature of smoke with deep crimson eyes and lightning sparking across its shifting body.

The others also gathered their magic, ready to strike.

"Face it, human!! You’re too weak to defeat us!!" Thalindra barked from below.

I only grinned wider.

They didn’t know that the day l slept with them, they had already been conquered.

I could tame them into loyal servants whenever I wished — but where was the fun in that?

I needed to test my strength first on them.in a true fight.

Channeling my light affinity, a brilliant sword formed in my right hand, radiating pure energy. At the same time, my left hand summoned a second blade from darkness itself, black as a starless night.

"Bring it on, ladies!!" I barked.

The first shot came from the archer — a flaming arrow speeding toward me!

I turned invisible, slipping past her attack, skating in ice. Another blast of fire streaked toward where I’d been, detonating violently — but it caught only empty air.

With break neck speed, l appeared behind the archer, and tapped the back of her head lightly with the flat of my light sword.

"Too slow," I whispered.

She whirled, hitting an arrow behind, but I was already gone, leaving only ice mist curling where I had stood.

I reappeared high above them, my coat fluttering like the wings of a dark angel.

Below, Thalindra’s summoned monster roared, the sound shaking the entire place. It lunged upward at me, massive claws crackling with red lightning.

"Impressive," I admitted, smirking with genuine excitement.

I thrust my dark sword forward as it gathered shadows, condensing them into the colossal head of a black dragon.

With a thunderous roar, it collided with the smoke-beast, splitting the very clouds above with the force!

But Thalindra and her warriors weren’t about to back down.

One girl summoned walls of stone from the ground, hurling them at me like cannonballs. Another cast a blinding flash of light to disrupt my vision, while yet another fired razor-sharp spears of pure water at high pressure.

I didn’t dodge.

I danced.

Ice platforms bloomed under each step l took, carrying me effortlessly through the chaos.

I deflected water spears with a casual swing of my light sword and shattered the stone barrages with my dark sword.

For every spell they cast, I responded with twice the ferocity.

With a spin, I summoned a storm of icicles around me and sent them flying in a spiral pattern. The girls were forced to defend themselves, barriers of earth, fire, and wind erupting around them.

The monster made of smoke tried to cover me with its body, but I shot upward again before summoning lots of light and dark swords around me, and hurled them downward like meteors.

BOOOOM!!

The earth cracked under the impact, shockwaves sending dust and shattered debris into the sky.

Hovering high above, my coat billowing behind me like a conqueror’s flag, I grinned down at them.

"You called me weak?" My voice echoed.

"You’re not even ready for Round Two."

Thalindra wiped blood from her mouth, glaring up at me with those furious violet eyes. She growled a spell through her teeth, and suddenly the monster expanded, turning even more massive, sparks of red lightning coursing through its body.

At the same time, the others powered up too—magic circles appearing at their feet, their auras glowing, their powers rising in a flash.

I chuckled under my breath.

This was the battle I’d been craving.

I summoned two new swords — one shimmering silver, the other black as the abyss — and crossed them over my chest before diving back down.

"Come at me together!" I roared.

"SHOW ME EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!!"

Like a pack of predators, they charged at me as one.

I plunged into them, my swords spinning in a deadly dance, my ice platforms shifting instantly beneath me, allowing me to teleport short distances like an ice phantom.

Clang! Boom! Ssssshh!

The air was filled with the clash of steel, explosions of magic, and the howling of torn winds. The world itself seemed to tremble around our battle.

I fought them all at once.

And though they were S-ranks, warriors worthy of legends...I was overwhelming them.

Step by step, their attacks grew more frantic. Sloppier.

"You’re getting desperate," I said smoothly, ascending once again into the sky. "Cute."

Spinning my light sword in my right hand, I lifted the dark sword in my left — both blades pulsing with power.

"You know, normally, light and darkness cancel each other out."

Thalindra’s monster circled protectively in front of them.

"But," I continued, bringing the blades slowly closer together, "if you compress them hard enough... if you force them together..."

The very air around me cracked and screamed.

"...they create something new."

The girls instinctively stepped back in fear.

At the collision point between the swords, a black sphere edged with a halo of white light began to form, sucking in the wind, rattling the earth, making my hair whip wildly around me.

I savored their terror, grinning like a devil.

"This, ladies, is called Eclipse Nova."

The monster roared and lunged, a last desperate charge.

I smirked darkly.

"You wouldn’t understand it anyway.

It’s called science."

And with that, I hurled the sphere downward.

The black core shrieked as it expanded, ripping through the place.

It sucked in everything, smoke, magic, earth, even the very sound — inward like it was some kind of a black hole.

The smoke beast never even reached me.

It simply disintegrated, shredded into nothingness.

The shockwave slammed into the elves, knocking them sprawling, their magic barriers shattering like brittle glass.

Weapons flew from their grasp. Dust and debris swallowed the battlefield whole.

Just before my attack could wipe their miserable existence out of the world, l deactivated it as l watched how it had caused a mayhem.

Where once had been houses, trees, earth — only dust remained.

At the center of it all, I descended slowly, standing tall among the ruins.

The elves were on their knees, battered, barely conscious, eyes wide with disbelief.

I dusted off my sleeves lazily, shooting them a cocky smile.

"Next time, don’t call me a weak human."

Then, inwardly, I gave the order.

"System — Tame all conquered elves."
