Lioness wanted to decline her participation in treasure and offer him to become the master of the exalted clover ring but she was shy to say it out loud and was collecting her courage.

"Hey Sweetie, I don't need this ring." Nyla backed down after contemplating a little as she thought she should leave it to the other two and not make things complicated as they were all one family.

Helia gazed at Rio with jumbled-up emotions as she wanted to withdraw too but her words were not coming out of her throat.

"We have decided, You can give it to her," The boy spoke pointing to the blonde-haired beauty who was about to speak to give up her participation for the exalted clover ring.

His words caused a surprise to flicker in both Helia's and Saintess' eyes as they both heard his decision.

"Knowing it's a treasure that can awaken a powerful power within you, knowing it would give you the strength you still didn't fight to have it? Why?" Saintess asked in puzzlement as she saw the trio didn't fight like she thought they should.

"A true leader has to think about everyone in their team. Nyla gave up on this treasure for me as she loves me. I gave it up for Lioness because we are all one team and it doesn't matter If I have the ring or she has. We all would Benefit if our team become stronger as one." The boy responded with a feeble smile as he wasn't going to fight for this ring.

Lioness was taken aback hearing his answer as she looked at him dazed, she didn't think he would relinquish his right on becoming the master of the Exalted clover ring for her.

"But she is strongest among the three of you. It can help you surpass her in the future." Saintess tried to entice him and make him greedy for the treasure by shaking his unwavering resolve to give up on being good.

"Boosting her power to the next level would help us face powerful enemies so it's not bad either that way. Moreover, it will put a crack in our team's bonding if I have a selfish desire for such treasure." He responded in a relaxed manner.

"But..." The white figure wanted to pursue him longer but the boy interrupted her.

"I understand, saintess. What you're saying is true but it's not entirely correct. I'm still going to surpass her in the future as I have some old matters to settle with her." The boy said, his voice was mixed with amusement.

Lioness felt a chilly wind swirl around her plumpy butt as she remembered his words from the past, "In the early days of training when I first arrived here, you had kicked my ass a lot. I'm going to take back all the amount with interest when I'm at the same level as you."

Rio's voice from a few weeks ago resounded in her mind as Helia remembered what old matters he was talking about.

'Not only this boy carried her on his back to here when he barely had the strength to keep himself up but he also gave up his right on the exalted clover ring.'

Saintess had witnessed many adventures leaving behind their comrade in the Fiery Southern Desert in order to save their own life. She had also seen how people even killed their own kin Leo to get this treasure for themselves.

"is she the girl you love?" The white figure asked and thought that was the only explanation as people sometimes give up precious things for the person they love.

"Nope." The Boy replied, his voice was calm, without any hint of love or grudge.

Saintess looked at him with bewilderment as she met a person who didn't show greed for the exalted clover ring.

She was waiting all these years to see if someone would be able to forshake the greed of their heart and would give up this treasure for their comrade.

"We have old grudges and I have done something wrong to him. He should hate me for what I have done to him but he still considers me a friend because I'm the sister of his wife." Helia spoke, she wanted to clear Saintess doubt that he may actually love her.

"I don't have any grudges against you." Rio corrected her in a nonchalant manner.

Duo's interaction caused Saintess to become more perplexed as she was lost in her thought. Nyla and company were quietly waiting for the result as they were nervous.

After a long silence, Saintess finally started speaking to them.

"You're such a unique soul I have met in my life. I'm happy that I came across someone whose heart was as pure as mine and who didn't care about this ring more than their friends. Just like you, I was ready to relinquish this ring for Leo but he knew I need it more than him so he let me keep it." Saintess praised him, her voice flickered with heavy emotions as she spoke to the boy.

"Did we pass the test?" Rio asked as he wanted to know if they had something else to do.

"Yeah. You all passed my trial." She responded as she closed her eyes and spread her hand which started glowing white.

Nyla turned around with a lively face as she jumped to hug both her man and Helia with one hand, Saying "Yeeeeeee..."

Lioness was joyous that they had passed the test after going through such a hellish journey in the Fiery Southern Desert. Rio kept his calm but he was also delighted by the outcome of the trial.
