Rio stood before the magnificent glowing armor, he could feel the immense power emanating from its very presence.

The voice continued from the floating object in a deep and alluring tone of a female, "I won't drag this any further and get straight to the point.

I know the truth you seek, I can offer you knowledge about your parents as well as Layla, and make you the most powerful being in this land of Asura. All you have to do is leave that Elven Monarch and pledge your loyalty to me."

Rio narrowed his eyes, hearing the beast's words. "What do I have to do?" he asked, his voice was calm

"Simply pledge your loyalty to me by agreeing to my demands, Leave Eve and I will reveal all the secrets you desire. Together, we will rule this world." The female voice was giving him an enticing offer.

Rio took a step back, his eyes glued on the floating armor in front of him. He couldn't believe the foolishness of the monarch beast, thinking he would give his freedom in exchange for the truth.

He valued his free spirit above all else and would never give it up for anything, not even the truth or wealth.

He couldn't help but be suspicious of this trial. Rio was not able to shake off the feeling that there were more tricks up the armor's sleeves.

What was this monarch beast planning? What hidden motives did it have? Or is it really too dumb?

He scoffed at the idea of pledging his loyalty to the monarch beast in exchange for some vague promise of truth. He was a free spirit, and even when he had married Lia, he had made it clear that he wouldn't compromise his freedom. The very notion of someone demanding his loyalty was laughable.

The glowing silver armor seemed to radiate an air of confidence as if it was certain the boy would give in to its demands.

But Rio was not so easily swayed. He looked around, taking in his surroundings, and learning the structure of the landscape to prepare for the battle. He was going to pass this trial on his own terms, without accepting its idiotic wishes.

"I can't just leave Eve behind," he said firmly, his voice resolute and planning his next move.

"I understand your attachment to her, But what if I told you that she is not who she appears to be? That she has been hiding secrets from you all this time? She is a sly elven, wanting to take advantage of you and binding you in her seductive charm" The Monarch Beast replied, its voice dripping with honeyed persuasion.

"She has been my ally and friend and I will not betray her trust." The boy said with a cold tone.

The female voice snorted, its tone flickering with anger. "You fool! You will regret this decision. You could have had it all, but now you will face my wrath!"

The voice echoed through the air, loud and furious.

Rio watched with narrowed eyes as the armor began to vibrate, a buzzing sound filling the air. Slowly, the armor began to shift and transform until it took on a humanoid form.

Rio's brows shot up in shock as he realized that the person standing before him looked exactly like himself.

The crimson hair of his doppelganger fluttered in the wind, its expression twisted into an angry scowl.

Rio couldn't help but feel alarmed as he gazed into the eyes of his mirror self. It was like looking into a distorted reflection of himself, but with a terrifying rage burning in his doppelganger's eyes.

He noticed every detail of his duplicate's appearance, from the way his messy crimson hair fluttered in the wind to the way his fingers clenched into fists at his sides.

Rio's mirror self looked like a mad bull, ready to unleash a burst of fury at any moment, and it made him feel rather amused.

'I should practice my angry expression, this one looks so bad.'

He mumbled to himself, summoning his silver-bloom king sword that materialized in his hand.

Just as he summoned his beast soul, he saw the enemy also summoned a beast soul similar to the one in his hand.

'Ah...'

Rio's eyes shone with surprise, the realization hit him like a ton of bricks - this enemy was not to be taken lightly. Monarch beast not only copied his appearance but also had the beast soul he possessed.

As he was thinking, the doppelganger came at him like a bullet released from the gun, holding the silver-bloom king sword in its hand.

Rio channeled his mana to enchant his body, moving swiftly in the air as he engaged in a fierce battle with the doppelganger.

The clash of the two identical figures in the air was a sight to behold as they exchanged blows, their swords colliding with a loud clang, and a spark flew in the air.

As their swords clashed for the first time, the impact sent them both flying back in opposite directions.

With lightning-fast reflexes, the doppelganger charged forward, full of unwavering confidence.

The boy was busy in a fierce battle with his doppelganger, carefully studying his opponent and watching the way its angry expression twisted and contorted with each strike.

The doppelganger fought with a distinct style similar to his and mana enchantment, sending sparks flying with every blow.

Rio knew he had to stay on the defensive, analyzing every move his opponent made with calculated precision.

Their swords clashed repeatedly in a dazzling display of skill and agility, with Rio narrowly avoiding each strike as he carefully studied his opponent's technique.

Soon, Rio's eyes lit up with delight as he noticed a crucial detail despite the striking resemblance in their fighting techniques.
