The Star Realm is a forbidden zone for life but also an ocean of truth, and its natives are uniformly known as Star Beasts by the Magic Realm.

Wayne had previously encountered a Star Beast in the Earth Core Cult, known as the Blue Spine Parasite, massive in size, with an astonishing reproductive ability, able to supply eggs endlessly.

Its weakness was a fear of fire.

Seeing another Star Beast today, he couldn’t help but exclaim.

From a distance, Wayne couldn’t make out the true appearance of the giant creature, but based on its outline, it looked like a segmented animal, like an earthworm, or a lugworm without its tentacles.

A giant earthworm, many times magnified, breaking through the barriers of space, with most of its body crawling out towards his location at high speed.

The wriggling long worm was so huge it perfectly triggered Wayne’s fear of worms and fear of large objects, causing him to shiver instantly, stuff the Shadowmare into his body, and turn to run.

"Where do you think you can run?"

With his back to the Star Beast, Aub noticed the sudden constriction of fear in the Great Eyeball and burst into laughter.

Wayne may be unique, with abilities that even Legendary Mages struggle against, but these abilities stem from his bloodline; at his core, he is just a Silver Mage.

The Protogenos Bloodline imitates Ancient Gods, unlocking a new path of evolution, and Aub was nearly dying of envy; Wayne was unworthy of such an excellent bloodline, which should rightfully be his.

Suddenly, he sensed an ominous presence, as the longbow in his hand flickered dimly and brightly, the frequency of its flickering increasing rapidly, signaling danger nearby.

"Danger?!"

Aub’s eyes bulged open, his senses spreading out but detecting nothing.

He was reasonable and not arrogant like Marshall, always exercising caution each time he entered the Star Realm, and despite his coveting nature, he still refused the omnipresent knowledge.

Now the question was, where was the danger?

This question didn’t trouble Aub for long, as he turned around to see the source of danger.

It was a Star Beast of immeasurable size, resembling a maggot, with a frightening spiraled mouthpiece opening widely, bristling with teeth that spread from its orifice down its throat.

"Void Worm!"

Aub’s color drained from his face, and he instinctively tried to open the Gate of Truth to escape.

But he failed!

The Magic Realm, spearheaded by Legendary Mages and occasionally joined by Gold Mages not afraid of death, explored the Star Realm countless times, seeking truth through sacrifice.

These Mages blazed a trail with their blood, providing valuable experiences for successors.

Among these was an illustrated guide to Star Beasts.

According to the guide, the Void Worm was a top predator among Star Beasts, enormous in size and with an astounding power to solidify space, capable of devouring spatial tunnels to create wormholes.

Once targeted by such a creature, with space solidified and no place to hide, survival was nearly impossible.

Of course, there was still a sliver of a chance for escape.

Since the illustrated guide detailed information about Void Worms, it meant that some had managed to escape, though it was a narrow escape from death, not utterly hopeless.

Void Worms are quite gluttonous, and one can escape their space-solidifying grasp by sacrificing a companion, no, by running faster than a companion.

Shaken, Aub remembered the lifesaving tip from the guide, waving his hand to summon a wave of darkness, and conjuring both the Obelisk and the flatland to his side.

The sacrificial fodder was not the Obelisk but the boys and girls adopted by Dorin.

At this moment, Aub could not worry about the consequences; he was not even concerned about the Obelisk, throwing a pile of bloody offerings towards the Void Worm and dashing towards Wayne’s direction.

As he ran, he cursed the unreliable guide in his heart.

According to the senior Mages’ experience, although Star Beasts were numerous, the Star Realm’s boundless nature meant that the chances of encountering them were exceedingly low, as long as one did not linger for long.

Void Worms, being top-of-the-food-chain natives with no natural predators, were even rarer, making the likelihood of meeting one even lower.

His luck was simply too atrocious!

The Void Worm moved with incredible speed, shattering the platforms in all directions, swallowing dozens of unconscious Moonlight Church members in one gulp, squirming a few times in its mouth, then spitting out the unchewed Obelisk.

A few snacks were not enough to satisfy its hunger; it continued to chase in Wayne’s direction, solidifying space, spreading its hunting net wide; this time, it was determined to have a taste.

It had been lying in wait for Wayne for a long time!

The last time it followed Wayne’s trail, it almost got a taste, missing by just a bit; this time, it wouldn’t miss the chance.

So there was Wayne running ahead, Aub chasing after, and lastly, the Void Worm doggedly pursuing.
