In the Kingdom of Monstra, Mercedes was lounging beside a cliff overseeing the entirety of its capital city. It was a beautiful sight and was far different than the towering skyscrapers of the United World Government. The scenery reminded her of a memory she thought she had long forgotten. It was echoes of the past. Recollections of her home.

"I can't get used to this sight." She sighed to herself while taking a bite from a sandwich. She chewed with utter calm and observed the calming scenery of the Kingdom of Monstra. Though, her eyes steadily rose as she noticed someone standing beside her. Being interrupted from one's meal wasn't something she appreciated. But she had a job as the diplomat.

"Does it require my attention?" Mercedes questioned and continued munching her sandwich. Her gaze narrowed, however she didn't bother to perceive the one behind her. After all, it wasn't difficult to noticed the unique breathing of those she had thoroughly underestimated. Moments later, a voice resounded. "No, I just wanted to apologize for not telling you about those things."

Echidna stepped forward and lightly smiled at the silver wolf. She perched beside the diplomat and gazed upon the beautiful city she had built alongside with her friends. Gone was the days of simplicity. A time when she simply needed to do something. Now... It felt as though she was acting on every single thing. It made her wonder where her innocence had gone.

"I do not take offense, Echidna. Besides, Abraham already warned my about the possibility of the slave trade being an active market within the Typhon Region. After all, it is the norm of this world to enslave others. That much I already understand." Mercedes uttered to the Monarch of Monstra and kept taking a piece of the sandwich into her mouth.

"Even if you aren't offended by it, I believe that I should apologize. Especially, when in the end, I still lied to you through omittance." Echidna shook her head and wasn't planning to avoid responsibility. But Mercedes merely narrowed her gaze and remarked. "You didn't lie through omittance, Echidna. You simply forgot about it."

"It has been a normal and integral part of the world. It would be stranger, otherwise. I do not blame you for that. Besides, the United World Government has no interest of making the world its enemy. We understand how the norm works in this world. What we want is for others to change. At the very least, try to." She continued, earning the soft smile of Echidna.

"No wonder you were the diplomat sent by Abraham." Echidna muttered and made the silver wolf slightly chuckle. "This is what building a business does to you. The world isn't as black and white as it appear to be. We walk through the lines of grey. Some delved into the light, others embraced the darkness. I hope that those I meet would be willing to try the path of compassion."

"After all, everyone deserves a bit of it."

Mercedes licked her fingers cleaned and glanced at the daemoness. "Apologies, I only brought one sandwich with me." Hearing her, Echidna shook her head and replied. "No need. I'm not hungry, and I merely eat for the sake of tasting delicious meals. Or else, I have no need to do so." Daemons didn't require to consume sustenance. But many do for the sake of flavors.

"At any rate, Echidna. I'm curious about the home of Abraham. What does it look or feel like?" The silver wolf questioned the Monarch of Monstra. Echidna raised her eyebrows and thought about it for a moment. It didn't take long before she answered. "It isn't that different to the United World Government, to be honest. Whether it'd be the modern culture or technology."

"It is more or less the same."

"Before I discovered that I was in your country, I thought that I managed returned to my homeland. I didn't expect it to be another part of the Primordial World and ruled by someone who could be my only kindred." Echidna smiled at the silver wolf after concluding her answer. Mercedes was in deep thought about it. She already knew that the Abraham's homeland was no different than UWG.

The country was practically molded into the image of Echidna's and Abraham's homeland. But it made her wonder such an intriguing part of humanity could remain hidden from the world. She was also curious about where their homeland really was. Did they come from another continent like Europa? Was it different? Was it beautiful?

Before Mercedes could keep thinking about it, her thoughts were soon interrupted by the arrival of others. These people were the daemon generals under the daemoness. It was Negan and Lily, the strongest generals of Monstra. From the looks of it, there was something they needed to report. Echidna glanced at them and nodded. She wasn't bothered that Mercedes would hear it.

"My Monarch... The Daemons require your presence. They have made a decision regarding to the alliance between the Kingdom of Monstra and the United World Government." Negan reported to the daemoness, who took a glimpsed of Mercedes before replying. "I understand, Negan. I'll take my leave, Mercedes. We'll continue this conversation later."

Echidna was about to leave, but Mercedes stood up and patted her pants. She turned her gaze towards the daemoness and asked. "Can I follow? I'd also like to meet them and hear their answers." It was better to hear the responses of those Daemon Monarchs personally rather than have Echidna deal with the results and its consequences.

"I do not mind, Mercedes. But you'll have to let me speak to them and not intrude." Echidna stated, earning the nod of agreement from the silver wolf. Following the confirmation of Mercedes, the daemoness beckoned her to follow. The daemon generals walked beside them and escorted them to the same hall where the Daemon Monarchs gathered together.

It didn't take long before they arrived to the hall where the gazes of the Daemon Monarchs landed upon them. It was pressing, which was understandable. After all, these were individuals of great power. Although, incomparable against Abraham and Laplace. They weren't to be underestimated. These entities could probably decimate an entire city with ease.

The Dragon Monarch stared at the silver wolf but turned his attention to the daemoness. He then stepped forward and uttered. "We have reached an ample conclusion, Echidna. We will banned the slave trade and the act of enslaving others. In exchange, we would like to personally meet with the rulers of the so-called United World Government."

Echidna didn't see the need to answer as the one who could arrange such a meeting already stood behind her. She turned her eyes towards the silver wolf and nodded. It was time for the diplomat to speak. Perceiving the nod of the daemoness, Mercedes stepped forward and responded to the Dragon Monarch. "Your demand is sensible. The United World Government agrees to its terms."

Mercedes took out a phone from the pockets of her pants and placed them beside her ear. She was calling Abraham and report to him the news regarding the decision the Daemon Monarchs had made within the Typhon Region. The mobile device rang for a moment before someone from the other side answered. *Mercedes, it has been a while.*

The one that answered her was Laplace. Her eyebrows rose as she was fairly sure that the number belonged to Abraham. But since they were married and spent time together. It wasn't that improbable for the dragoness to picked it up instead of the middle-aged man. "Laplace, I'm hear to give a report regarding the circumstance of the Typhon Region.

*Alright, I'll bring the phone to him.* Laplace responded while Mercedes patiently tapped the sole of her foot. The Daemon Monarchs observed her, understanding that she was conversing with the rulers of the power nation, the United World Government. None of them dared to interrupt as they didn't see the need to do so, and it would be disrespectful to the so-called rulers.

*My love, Mercedes called. She has a report that you might want to hear.* Mercedes could hear the voice of the dragoness and what followed was Abraham's astoundment. *Mercedes is calling? Okay, play with Tiamat please.* Abraham uttered to his wife and took the phone from Laplace. Placing it beside him, his voice soon escaped from the phone. *Mercedes, how is the situation in Monstra?*

"The circumstance is satisfactory, Abraham. The Daemon Monarchs have agreed to ban the slave trade and the act of enslavement. But they demand to meet you and Laplace for a meeting." She was straightforward and didn't bother to provide any more unnecessary details. Silence consumed the phone for a moment, but Abraham soon responded.

*I understand their demand. I will be willing to meet them this week. The United World Government is currently busy, so I'll be heading there instead.* Abraham didn't see any problems and also wanted to see the Typhon Region alongside the Kingdom of Monstra. It would be foolish to remain ignorant of what the home of his ally and only relative kin.

"Thank you, Abraham. I'll be calling for the details later." Mercedes smiled as the middle-aged man responded. *No problem, Mercedes. It is the least I can do.* The call ended, and she returned the mobile phone to her back pocket and gazed upon the Daemon Monarchs before her. With a straightened back and an uncaring gaze, she gave them the result of the conversation.

"As you might have already heard, the apex of the United World Government will be visiting the Kingdom of Monstra to meet all of you. I hope you will be prepared to greet them." Mercedes's words resounding while Echidna's smile broke apart. Why would those two be heading to her country? Why not somewhere else? She could only sigh as there was nothing she could do about it.
