One Piece: I'm Destined to Be the Son-in-Law King!-Chapter 130: You Were Defeated by This Kind of Guy?

Thunder God Island. High in the sky.

The enormous thundercloud ripped apart, splitting into two angry pieces that plunged towards the town with incredible speed and force! Anything they touched was instantly crushed.

"BOOM!!!"

A blinding beam of lightning shot straight up, turning night into day for the entire island!

Smoker, Hina, Bartolomeo, Lao G, Señor, Machvise...

Everyone fighting was forced to shield their eyes. When the light faded, they looked around, confused and worried.

"What just happened?!" someone shouted.

"Is Colonel Roya okay?!" another voice cried out.

"Diamanti!" a desperate voice yelled.

That giant thundercloud didn't seem like something a person could create; it was clearly the raw power of nature itself!

A huge, gaping hole, hundreds of meters across, now marred the center of the town. Inside the crater, only bits of the tavern were left; everything else was gone, completely destroyed.

"Senior!"

Lu Yun, who had been hiding behind the bar, looked up, her face etched with worry. She saw Roya falling and, without hesitation, used Moon Walk to fly up and catch him.

"Zzzzt!"

"Ughh..."

Lu Yun bit her lip, fighting to hold back strange sounds. Her whole body was tingling and buzzing from the electricity.

Senior is being shocked! she thought frantically.

"Haa... I'm fine!"

Roya gasped, allowing Lu Yun to carry him like a princess. Electricity crackled all over him, leaving him numb and weak.

Even though he had managed to split the thundercloud, he couldn't stop all the damage from the lightning. His Lightning Protection Suit had even burned away to nothing.

Luckily, the suit had lessened the blow.

After a moment, Roya felt some strength returning to his body.

"Lu Yun, put me down."

"Oh!"

The girl reluctantly lowered Roya to the ground.

Roya leaned against the remains of the bar for support, frowning as he looked at Lu Yun's flushed face. "Your face is red. Are you hurt?"

"No, no!"

Lu Yun waved her hands quickly, her face becoming even brighter.

Roya shook his head and walked towards Diamanti, who was lying nearby.

Diamanti was kneeling, his body blackened and smoking. He was still holding onto his Steel Umbrella, looking completely foolish.

Steel is a great conductor of electricity, after all!

But letting go of the umbrella would probably be even worse.

"Crack!"

The umbrella broke in two, revealing Diamanti's ugly face. He was still breathing, but he was unconscious.

Roya pulled Rain Cutter from the ground, frowning.

It would be easy to finish Diamanti off now, but he needed him to lure Vergo out. Right now, a living hostage was more valuable than a dead one.

After all, there 's no point in rescuing a dead hostage, he thought. And I 'll need to report this to my superiors.

"Your weakness saved your life."

Roya sheathed Rain Cutter.

Lao G pounded Smoker with a flurry of blows, his skilled fighting style leaving Smoker unable to defend himself.

Smoker was sent flying by a punch, smashing through several buildings.

"Haa... haa... Damn it, how can this old man be so strong!"

Smoker struggled to his feet, wiping blood from his mouth, his eyes filled with anger and frustration.

He was completely outmatched in close combat!

If it wasn't for the fact that the old man's body was old and weak, he would have already lost. But that made it even harder to accept.

He didn't want to win just because he was younger!

"You're persistent!"

Lao G walked through the rubble. Seeing that Smoker was still standing, he knew his age was a disadvantage.

Youthful vigor... I envy that, he thought.

He could only watch as his body grew weaker, slowly leading to his death.

"A kid like you could never defeat me, who has trained his skills to perfection! I'll show you my true power!"

"HAAA!!!"

Lao G roared, his entire body radiating energy. His frail body suddenly bulked up, returning to its strongest, most youthful form.

"Earth King Fist: Ultimate Secret!"

"Battle Preservation Fist!"

Smoker's eyes widened.

What is that powerful form?! he wondered.

"Hahahahaha!"

Lao G laughed loudly. "Skills perfected, power at its peak! Who can defeat me now?!"

"Damn it!"

Smoker turned his legs into smoke, shooting himself towards Lao G, his fist covered in Haki, aimed at the old man's body!

"Useless, useless, useless!"

Lao G laughed, grabbing Smoker's wrist, throwing him backwards, and then unleashing a punch through the air!

At the last second, Smoker turned his body into smoke!

"Boom!"

A blast of air ripped through the smoke, shattering the wall behind it.

"So much power from just one punch!"

Smoker gasped. The old man's strength had increased dramatically. If he had been hit, it would have been devastating.

"Boom!"

The ground behind him exploded!

Smoker slowly turned his head, seeing the muscular man behind him making a special hand gesture. His eyes narrowed.

"You're slow, your punches are weak, your Haki is unrefined, your Devil Fruit power is pathetic. You're not good at anything. And you dare to challenge me!"

Lao G moved his hands, making a "G" symbol in front of him!

"Die, Marine!"

"Battle Preservation Fist Secret: G Imprint!"

A burning "G" appeared on Smoker's chest!

The next moment, there was a huge explosion!

"Cough!"

Smoker coughed up blood, his body flying out of control, crashing through a dozen buildings like a cannonball!

"Boom boom boom!!!"

Dust filled the air!

"Hey, Smoker, wake up!"

Smoker lay in the rubble, covered in blood, his eyes rolling back. He thought he heard someone calling him.

"Wake up!"

A sharp pain in his stomach, and then he was flying again. Smoker woke up, the pain bringing him back to consciousness.

He lay on the ground, struggling to lift his head.

Roya and Lu Yun stood in front of him. At their feet lay a man wearing a red cape.

So, Roya defeated the enemy leader, he thought.

Roya, with his back to Smoker, stared at Lao G, coldly asking, "This is ridiculous, Smoker. You were defeated by trash like this?"

"I...!"

Smoker couldn't argue. He tried to get up, but could only roll over. Then he saw Hina walking from the west, dragging a chained enemy officer behind her.

Damn it, I 'm the only one who lost! he thought bitterly.

"Diamanti! Señor!"

Lao G looked at his defeated comrades, a fire of anger burning inside him. He put his hands in front of him in the "G" pose.

A shockwave exploded around him!

"You were defeated because you didn't train hard enough. But don't worry, I'll avenge you!"

"Battle Preservation Fist Secret: Full Demon Release Burn!"

The strongest form that burns everything!

"Here."

Roya tossed Rain Cutter to Lu Yun, stretched his neck, and walked towards Lao G, the Haki on his fist glowing with a dark energy.

"Aaaaaah!!!"

Lao G crouched low, the ground cracking under his feet. He instantly moved dozens of meters, appearing in front of Roya, his fist, bigger than a sandbag, slamming towards him!

Roya also clenched his fist, using the only move Teacher Zephyr had taught him, pouring all his Haki into the enemy's body, then setting it off!

"Smash: Blaster!"

"Boom!!!"

Like the clang of a bell, the two fists, one large and one small, collided!

"Hahaha, with a fist like that--"

Lao G laughed, about to mock Roya's weak punch, when the surface of his arm suddenly cracked and bled.

Then, the cracks spread quickly along his arm and throughout his body!

"Im... possible!"

Roya turned and walked back towards his comrades.

"Don't push yourself too hard. You're just an officer."

"Boom!!!"

The enemy behind him exploded into pieces!
