Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential-Chapter 68: Rexion’s Evolution
Chapter 68: Rexion’s Evolution
Alfred’s stats were awesome. He acquired an Innate Talent, reached level 2 in Blood Mastery, and gained level 1 Frostfire Mastery, a new skill, and Shader Blaze Beam’s combo.
John tried the combo move, and it turned out that just one second after using Shader Blaze Beam, the combo move could be activated to burst out the remaining power of Shader Blaze Beam at once for the Shader Zero combo move, which completely freezes and encases the target in an icy crystal sculpture, rendering them trapped.
It was a powerful control-type move that would keep the target bleeding from the initial hit of Shader Blaze Beam, ultimately keeping the target weak or dead eventually.
"Alright, you and Pymon, go and hunt some Silver-rank Monsters on your own, and bring their bodies in the ice cube here. We’ll place them around our camp as a trophy. This will also be your solo exercise, and make sure you use your Quirks often to control the skills."
John wanted Alfred’s Darkness Mastery to reach level 2 as well. After all, that could upgrade Umbral Drift and make it more powerful.
"Merc, Crocky, and Sony, you three coordinate with Starry and the other three Eagles to scout around so that Alfred and Pymon can focus on fighting."
John looked at the Monsters in front of him and smiled, "Lastly, don’t go too far. Alfred, Pymon, make sure you two are within the range where we can be telepathically connected."
Fortunately, John’s sensitivity was high, so he had an extra boost in the telepathy range.
The telepathy range depended on one’s Soul progression. For example, A Silver-rank who had his Soul Crystal maxed out at 500 would have a range of 500 meters radius for telepathy.
But John had a range of 1.5 kilometers radius.
"Alright, go and have fun. Don’t miss if you encounter any resources."
The monsters responded with various sounds and left.
"Alright, now it’s time to evolve you, Rexion."
John grinned, full of anticipation and thrill.
He was going to make Rexion into a dragon!
There were many types of dragons, but Rexion was going to be a Drake-type. Four legs, tricky tails, horns, and no wings, which differentiated them from four-legged dragons with wings.
Of course, there was a dragon evolution as well, but it had a 0.1% chance of success, so Rexion must evolve into a Drake first.
John had already brought the resources, and Rexion’s Gene Potential was also at 100.
He planned to evolve and rank up Rexion at the same time, making him reach Silver-rank and then begin Rexion’s training of development in this rank alongside Pymon.
Only Alfred was at Prime-stage Silver-rank in his arsenal, but John had five days to make all three of his pets as developed as possible.
And he intended to give them maximum training and development!

John looked at the status carefully. He had already prepared the resources for evolution and rank-up, but he was thinking about what else to add to increase some parameters of Rexion.
’This rank and evolution will be a second attribute to Rexion, which is Light. But it won’t interfere with the evolution if I add more resources than the evolution pathway states, right?’
John felt it shouldn’t affect evolution as long as he only felt resources with matching attributes to the Monster.
But after thinking for a moment, he decided against it.
"Fuck It. If I want to do it, I shouldn’t experiment on Rexion. And I can always increase his Gene Potential fast by converting Geno Points into pure potential and initiate a Gene Potential burst in Silver-rank for more development."
John fed prepared resources to Rexion, and also used some Lizard-type Monster and Bird-type Monsters’ Geno Points as per instruction of Evolution Pathways for the evolution—Sanguinite Omen Drake.
Soon, Rexion turned into a cocoon wrapped in golden and crimson silk material with patterns.
John put it inside Monster Paradise.
Afterward, he closed his eyes and started training.
He also had to make progress in Silver-stage to increase his stats as much as possible.
Time passed, and he could hear Pymon and his kids dropping the frozen Monsters from Alfred’s Shader Zero skill around the camp. They hadn’t encountered any trouble so far, as he didn’t get any telepathy messages.
There weren’t any gold-rank monsters here in the first place. That gold-rank bear must have stumbled there, but according to the map, John was in the peripheral mountain of this mountain range, and it didn’t have King-rank Monsters at all, while the Gold-rank Monsters stayed upward on the mountain or in the deeper area of this range, so he was relatively safe here.
Hours passed by, and the night arrived. John trained for five hours before opening his eyes at around 9 o’clock with the sun completely set and two moons shining in the sky.
Progress:
-Stats:
— Strength: 60
— Defense: 59
— Speed: 59
— Soul Crystal: 382/500
The Monsters had returned half an hour ago and were eating their trophies as they were hungry after working for hours.
"Nice, this is quite a haul," John said with a chuckle as he looked at 37 frozen statues of all sizes and shapes, each one containing a dead or semi-alive Silver-rank Monster of Prime-stage.
The whole camp was practically surrounded by icy crystal blocks with no gaps to enter the camp from anywhere except for flying around.
But John wanted these frozen ’statues’ here as a deterrent to other monsters.
Waving his hand, he first extracted soul crystals from all of them, causing the Monsters’ eyes to shine.
"Khraaa!" Crocky opened his mouth.
Sony slapped him with his tail and hissed.
John rolled his eyes. "Pymon will get the first dibs. Until he reaches 500 Soul Crystals, nobody is getting them."
Monsters couldn’t extract soul crystals after all, but Tamers could, and they could feed them to Monsters, making their progress faster than wild Monsters.
To Crocky and others who were not contracted with John, but knew about Soul Crystal’s benefit, they were eager to eat that delicacy.
But not yet.
"Come here, Pymon. Eat these and absorb them."
"Kreee!" Pymon swooped down and landed in front of John, his dangerous beak wide open.
John dumped 20 Soul Crystals inside Pymon’s mouth one by one while he absorbed 17, increasing his Soul Crystal progression.
John finished absorbing first, making his Soul Crystal progress reach 438.
Just 62 more, and he would reach the peak of Silver-rank in Soul progression, and his telepathy range would also increase to the 2-kilometer radius.
On the other hand, Pymon’s body glowed as he finally went from being Young-stage to Adult-stage.
Pymon’s wingspan became four meters long and its body almost three meters from beak to tail!
