Chapter 300: The Princess And The Monster

Once upon a time, in an abandoned village, there was a princess. The princess was blessed by an immense beauty, with a formidable talent, she was born to bring stars into the lives of the people of her kingdom.

However, one day, the parents of the princess, greedy for a better life, decided to sell her to an evil man.

When the world closed its eyes on the princess, she took a knife and slaughtered a bear, covering her body with its skin.

She became a monster feared by everyone in the world, and finally, she could find peace.

The monster could finally live a new life, and with the power to control reality, she decided to make the kingdom her Dreamworld.

She forced everyone to build the kingdom exactly like in her books, and she forced the nobles to preserve their lineage and legacy, after all, the power of a legacy could only be understood after generations.

Her will was to see her world, not necessarily participate, so she never bonded with the nobles, keeping only a keen eye on them.

But one day, a change occurred.

One rainy day, while she was walking through her garden, surrounded by fairies from her creation, she noticed that she wasn’t alone.

A little boy was following her from afar.

Normally, people would be too afraid to approach her, but the boy’s eyes were shining with amazement.

In her territory, only one family could exist, so she understood that her guest was the young prince.

Days after days, the two often met, in the secrecy of his parents, the prince visited the monster.

He was charmed by the magic surrounding her, he couldn’t see the fire spell, but he enjoyed the warm milk it heated. He couldn’t see the light in the hand, but he adored the smell of the flowers created.

The prince was the exact replication of the monster when she was still a princess, except that he was living in a dream.

Maybe because of that, the monster became very attached to him, and their friendship perdured for years, until one day, the parents, the King, and the Queen decided to marry him to a duchess.

That day, the prince rebelled against his parents and in a surprising twist, declared the monster as the only one he wished to marry.

No one could accept this decision, the parents punished the prince with a thousand labor, and the people blamed him, but the prince never surrendered.

The situation reached the level where the monster decided to intervene, only to reject his love, but the prince never gave up.

Years after years, for every day, he tried absolutely everything to win the love of the monster.

The monster could get anything, but anything the prince was doing always surprised her.

One day, the monster revealed her true form, but the prince decided to abandon his world if he could stay with her forever, and if he had to die, he would die for her.

After that day, the relationship between the two drastically changed. The monster was more open to the prince, showing him sides of her that no one else could see, and the prince ignored his people and offered her the throne.

Once the monster finally accepted to be with the prince, the king suffered a heart attack and perished.

The monster had become the new ruler of the world.

No one knows what the monster looked like when she wasn’t a monster, sealed in her castle, she lived a life of peace and love with the new King.

After a few months, she was gifted with the most beautiful blessing in the world, two children from the King, both sharing their golden hair color.

Little by little, she let go of her bear skin and let the princess take over. She always knew that a baby was an insignificant being, but when she held her, she could feel a weight forcing her to watch all of her moves.

It was a weight piercing even her heart.

The two parents, watching the sunset gave them a name representing the two lights bathing the world: the sun and the moon.

The princess was a new person, and with a heart filled with love, she decided that she wanted to share her heaven with more people.

She loved human warmth.

She heard about the slave market, still functioning so she decided that these activities would be an offense to her name, and in response, slavery definitely stopped.

She took with her some of the last slaves who were abandoned on the roads with mortal wounds, and after evolving their bodies, she sheltered them in her kingdom, some even, determined to pay her back her kindness decided to follow her forever, and they became her eyes and bearer of her will, the Nymphs.

This was the story of a monster who remembered that she was a princess and her fabulous world.

However, one day, the dream became a nightmare, the king, fearing to leave the Queen alone after his death, tried to find someone with the same longevity as her, so she would never be alone again.

He headed for the ocean and never returned.

Left with her children as a memory of him, the Queen fell into an intense depression and took once again her bear clothes.

Her pain only matched her hate for the world, but she forced herself to believe that she could repair everything by creating a bigger family with her children, a family she would watch over as a scarecrow, but life didn’t stop taking things from her, and one day she lost her son, and with him, her depression became madness.

Gloria increased her aura with all her might, her sole purpose at that moment was to finish off Dora as quickly as possible, so she could get rid of the source of all her pain.

She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t think, all her senses were blinded by an unyielding rage, her mind was filled with the world she had lost.

Her prince, their son, their daughter. Nothing else mattered nothing had importance, she was immortal, she could start over again, but she could never have them back.

A red tear ran down her cheek, she had tried, really tried, but it was taking too long, and she couldn’t bear it anymore.

"Damnatio Memoriae"

A flash engulfed the whole area, spreading over the limits of the material world and reaching an intangible place.

Everyone was motionless for a moment, startled by this attack, but one by one, they noticed the change and soon, the maids fell on their knees.

"... Ah?"

Agiel was standing, but his body was falling into particles. The Queen had attacked him.

Dora released his aura, at the same time as Gloria.

He gave an indifferent gaze to the man who was meeting his end, his attention was on Gloria.

He felt that her attack had touched him, but he couldn’t feel a special change in him.

Her aura calming, Gloria dropped her arms alongside her body.

"... If I find you in another life, I’ll give you the most painful death imaginable."

Her eyes crying blood glared at Agiel.

"You hear me? Death won’t save you from me, even if there’s nothing, I’ll create a hell to massacre you for an eternity."

Agiel’s body kept disintegrating, he watched his hands disappear then pushed a deep sigh.

"... Damnatio Memoriae, a spell that erases the memory of one person from everyone."

He lowered his hands, a sad smile on his lips.

"Well, I suppose that this is it. My blessing won’t work anymore if no one remembers me, you really developed your Sin to create a technique with the sole purpose of killing me."

His body began to glitch, he gave one gaze to Candace on the side, the latter looking blankly at him.

"This time, I won’t come back. I possess only one blessing: as long as people know me, I can resurrect, but the technique she used will wipe my existence... I have so many things to say, mostly apologies, but I won’t have the time. I’m sorry for manipulating you and everyone else. It’s ridiculous to say it now, but I can only assure you that everything I did, everything I’ve been working for, it was all for the sake of..."

His jaws exploded.

He looked behind at Gloria, her mouth glowing red.

"A bastard... Doesn’t deserve... A last speech."

Agiel’s eyes almost closed, with a sorrowful expression, he closed them and completely disappeared.

His particles floated in the air before completely vanishing, alongside any memory of Agiel’s Elysium.

On their knees, the maids forgot everything about the person who got sacrificed, but one knowledge remained, the Queen had attacked someone.

The ball of light appeared above, the seal took a black color and magical writing covered it and then, the light became orange.

It was exactly the same as what Envy, Lust, and Wrath had become.

".... M... Mom? MOOOOM!!!" Solaria finally shouted.

Gloria fell on her knees, the maids shouted her name with all their might, but it was already too late.

She could feel her heartbeat lowering in her chest. Her power was nonexistent, she couldn’t feel anything from her blessing, and the reason was simple.

"This spell takes off your soul stone," Dora said, holding the orange and red orb in hand. "But not like with my blessing. This is your soul, Your soul agreed to follow the will of the curse, so it gave it all control, but since you didn’t respect the contract, your soul has been taken."

The spell restricting the box lifted up, the maids jumped instantly, Solaria followed, her aura began to emerge in an orange mist.

Dora stepped back, with Gluttony and Wrath’s soul in his hands, he gazed at Candace.

The dean met his gaze, her mind too crushed to react, she was already expecting death, maybe it would have been a better outcome for her, however.

"Sloth, there’s one left. You’re smart, so I know I can leave it to you."

He walked towards the wall behind him, a corridor opening and expanding indefinitely.

"Tell her to come when she will be here, I’ll be waiting. Those who feel like it can also follow me and die quicker."

He left the room through the corridor and, behind, the maids and Solaria reached Gloria.

"My Queen! My Queen!"

"Majesty! Please! Someone! Anyone!!!"

Their cries pierced the air, but Gloria could hear no word.

By second, she lost control of her body, she could see blurred faces, she could understand that it was her people, but she couldn’t understand what they were doing, she couldn’t even feel their hands on her.

But at one moment, she saw something.

"Mom!!!"

Solaria was in front of her, grabbing her by the collar, she gave a headbutt to her chest.

"Idiot!!! You idiot!!! Why did you do that?! Why do you always do things like that?!"

Her sparkling aura burst, covering Gloria and the maids.

She buried her teary face in Gloria.

"I refuse your excuse, you imbecile! I won’t forgive you if you die!!! Don’t die! Don’t die for me!!! Don’t die!!!"

She screamed her heart out, waves of aura were crossing the theater.

Gloria, through her blindness, could see the orange spark, and thus she knew that her most precious treasure was next to her.

"... You’re... You’re finally back."

Solaria and the maids stopped screaming, they watched the Queen in despair.

Gloria’s eyes looked at the ceiling, she couldn’t tell where they were, but she knew they were there.

"My dear... I’m so sorry... I couldn’t protect your brother... And your father... I’m so sorry."

Tears streamed down again from Solaria’s eyes.

"Don’t be sorry... Do something! Heal yourself! Use your power!!! Stop... STOP SMILING LIKE THAT!!!"

Gloria’s face was decorated with a slight smile, Solaria gave her a slight beating, but then a shadow covered her and the maids.

All froze in the spot, Gloria managed to extend her arms to hug them.

"I’m so happy... You’re alive... And now... She won’t kill you."

She lowered her head, her forehead touching Solaria’s.

"Nos...fera... Vixen... Ar...tesis... Ratoncia... Eryl...thank you... Thank you for... Everything. I... Love you... You... All... I love you all... I trust you...My f...friends... Please ... Protect... my..... trea...sure."

Her arm let her hands touch the ground, her gaze barely open. The maid and Solaria stood frozen, their mouths agape, releasing a wail that echoed through the void, shattering the silence of the abyss.
