Planet Pulverizer: A Mortal's Ascent-Chapter 495: Divine City
Chapter 495: Divine City
At the border between the Celestial Barren and Moon Demon Domain.
By now, Li Pin had already reached the Demigod Realm. He appeared outside a vast chasm made up of a dense network of spatial rifts that ranged from several to tens of kilometers in length.
This world's "Demigod" Realm was roughly equivalent to the Heavenly Realm.
In the Mortal, Celestial Barren, and even the Moon Demon Domain, those at the Legendary level were considered among the strongest, second only to the top echelon. As long as they didn't offend those of the first echelon, self-preservation was not an issue.
Li Pin stood before the chasm of countless interconnected spatial rifts, gazing into the distance. A massive city was faintly visible within the heart of the chasm.
The city emitted terrifying energy waves, rippling outward in circles. Those terrifying energy waves seemed to calm the tearing spatial rifts. It prevented these rifts from expanding and widening the gap between the two domains.
Watching the city barely visible amidst the spatial disturbances, Li Pin murmured, "Divine City...."
This was the most powerful city in this world, built and personally overseen by the so-called strongest in the Three Domains—the Veritable God Monarch of the Moon Demon Imperial Clan.
Li Pin thought to himself, The strongest in the Three Domains? That title doesn't quite match. Forget the invincible Netherlord— even the Moon Goddess's true combat power surpasses that of the Veritable God Monarch. She's just more secretive, with deeper schemes.
The earlier pioneers had attempted the Divine City instance many times, and while few succeeded, they had gathered a clear understanding of the top-tier experts in this world.[1]
However, the so-called "strongest in the Three Domains" was not truly the strongest.
It was a common occurrence, much like how the world's richest person was never actually the richest.
Li Pin muttered, "The Supreme Demonic Sword's power once tore through the barriers between the Three Domains... In scientific terms, it disrupted the gravitational balance between these three planets, causing their orbits to overlap. Eventually, they will collide, merging into a massive planet after the impact...."
He paused. "Of course, these domains are similar to dimensional planes. Their collision will be a fusion, much gentler than the collision between planets. The process will also be much faster.
"After two to three hundred years, these dimensions should have theoretically merged into one. However, due to the constant repairs by Myth-level experts who have grasped the spatial power, and the interference of the Divine City, this fusion has been delayed until now."
For Li Pin to realize his martial path in this world, he must ensure the complete fusion of these domains.
There was something else he was looking forward to, too.
"Witnessing the collision and convergence of three planet-like planes is an exceptionally rare spectacle. It will greatly benefit my future cultivation."
His cultivation, moving forward, had two paths. The first was to follow his original plan: strengthening his Natal Planet.
This was similar to the cultivation methods of Legends and Demigods, which involved continuously accumulating mass. Once the Natal Planet reached a certain level, its core would ignite, transforming it into a star and achieving a qualitative leap.
In the future, he would cultivate additional Natal Planets to form a star system. As their strength increased, some would eventually collapse into black holes, thereby stabilizing the framework of the surrounding star systems and planets, thus emulating a galaxy.
From there, he would progress along the galactic path, forming clusters, domains, and even star abysses, ultimately evolving into a complete universe.
However, this approach raised a critical issue: would his Inner World withstand the immense power of such a vast number of celestial bodies?
The second path drew inspiration from the Ancient Astral World's core structure, the "Starlet."
By refining his Natal Planet and using inner spirit as a foundation, he aimed to unify the electromagnetic force, gravity, strong force, and weak force within it.
Simultaneously, he sought to integrate time and spatial properties, transforming the Natal Planet into a perfect particle that embodied all universal characteristics, allowing him to simulate and comprehend the universe's mysteries.
These two paths were merely possibilities, yet it was evident that no matter which he chose, the journey would be fraught with difficulty.
Even now, dealing with a three-planet system posed significant challenges, let alone creating star systems, galactic systems, or the eventual star abysses.
Li Pin pondered. The Celestial Force Field contains gravity, electromagnetic force, strong force, and weak force. My understanding of these forces is far too shallow. When disrupted by force fields from other planets, my control becomes imprecise.
This three-planet system leaned more towards the "planar" aspect. In other words, it was more aligned with the properties of time and space, or perhaps, leaning toward the Inner World.
Regardless, understanding this system, as well as the spatial fluctuations and Celestial Force Fields generated during its collisions, was vital for his path ahead.
Li Pin pondered. The Divine City blocks the fusion of the Three Domains, becoming the greatest obstacle to the three-planet system's final evolution. It must be destroyed.
He felt no guilt about this decision.
At its core, the divine treasure world was the final creation of a Cosmic Radiance-level being, forged by fusing their will with the traits of the Astral World before their death. Everything within it was already predetermined. Their actions would not alter the outcome of events that had already transpired.
In fact, breaking through the divine treasure world and releasing the owner from its lingering will was the only way for the Cosmic Radiance being to finally rest. The process within the divine treasure world didn't matter—only the result did.
Li Pin thought to himself. Cang Ruoxi will only sever the worlds' connection by the fourth phase. However, her method involves pushing the high-energy Moon Demon Domain deeper into the universe, merging only the Celestial Barren and Mortal Domain.
And all of this merely serves as a background. I won't even get to witness the double star system's fusion at that stage. If that's the case, I'll just have to do it myself.
He glanced at the void ahead and silently contemplated something.
In the next moment, he took a step forward and vanished from the area. When he reappeared, he was already within a spatial rift.
A faint light flickered in Li Pin's eyes. "So this is the power of this world's space? Or perhaps, the power of the Oblivion World? Truly fascinating."
The Oblivion World's power was entirely formless, defined by "nonexistence." Yet, the spatial power in the Mara Divine Treasure World seemed slightly weaker. It relied on a unique medium, transforming "nonexistence" into "existence," even impacting the material world.
"Sensing spatial power here signifies reaching the Demigod Realm. When it can be used like domain-like power or the Celestial Force Field, that is the realm of Myth."
Li Pin quietly reflected on the state he had experienced while traversing space, pushing his Clairvoyance gift to its peak.
A faint projection began to emerge behind him. It seemed to channel the power of his Inner World, attempting to manifest it in this world through the Celestial Force Field of the Mortal Domain and the Celestial Barren Domain.
But before the projection could take form, three invisible ripples spread out, shattering the projection's power instantly.
Li Pin frowned. "It's still not working."
After some thought, he said, "Then I'll switch to this world's 'Myth' mode."
He briefly reflected on the Myth Realm's application and mastery of spatial power. Then, combining the perception granted by his Clairvoyance and his own comprehension of the Celestial Force Field, he instantly touched upon this world's spatial layer.
Once he touched the spatial layer, he began manipulating the power of space—creating restraints, bindings, and even stirring up spatial turbulence.
Initially, his application was rather crude. However, this area lay within a space fracture zone, so it was highly active. Not to mention that his cultivation was worlds apart from when he first arrived here, putting his mental spirit on another level. In mere moments, he had grasped the operational principles of this region's spatial laws.
Soon, spatial turbulence began to spread from him, threatening to widen the fracture further.
Li Pin smiled slightly. "Mastering space—this is the Myth Realm."
It had barely been a year since he had arrived in this world. His rate of growth wasn't slow. However, recalling that the fastest among them were likely already at the God King realm, Li Pin wasn't overly proud.
Buzz, buzz!
At that moment, ripples spread across the space ahead. Immediately following, a figure burst forth, arriving at an astonishing speed.
Li Pin quickly identified the newcomer based on available information. "That's... the guardian of the Divine City Gate, the Primal Sun God King?"
The Primal Sun God King was taken aback. "A new Myth?"
He thought to himself, When did another Myth practitioner emerge from the human race? Did he just break through?
The Primal Sun God King quickly reined in his aura, though his expression remained stern. "Did you not know that recklessly using spatial power near a space fracture could cause the rift to widen?"
Li Pin replied, "I know."
Primal Sun God King furrowed his brow. "Given that you've just reached the Myth Realm, I'll let it slide this time. But if you do this again, arbitration will be necessary."
"I'd like to see how arbitration works," Li Pin said with a smile. He extended his hand. "No description in the manuals can compare to experiencing it firsthand. Come, let me see what the difference is between a God King and a Myth."
The Primal Sun God King gave Li Pin an irritated glance. "You really have too much energy to waste. Go to the Moon Demon Domain and fight the ruling demonic beasts there. I don't have time to waste with you."
Li Pin replied, "Well then, ending the Three Domains' dilemma surely isn't a waste of time, is it?"
"Ending the Three Domains' dilemma?" Primal Sun God King paused and turned to him. "You?"
Li Pin nodded. "Yes."
Li Pin was, after all, a Myth.
The Primal Sun God King couldn't discern which faction Li Pin was from, but it was clear that anyone who achieved the Myth Realm was prone to extreme hubris, easily believing themselves invincible.
As an elder, it was his duty to ensure he didn't act against the greater good.
"Since you've so earnestly requested this battle, I'll graciously oblige," the Primal Sun God King said. "I just hope you don't regret it."
1. In this context, an instance refers to a game area or zone. For the Pioneers, it is akin to a chapter within the Mara World's story. ☜
