Pokemon: A New Path-The Unstoppable Metronome[531]
The Unstoppable Metronome[531]
Roger, the commentator, adjusted his microphone, his voice brimming with excitement.
"Yes! That's what we love to see! A match filled with fireworks is always more thrilling! Now, without further ado, let the battle begin!"
Ding ding ding ding!
The sharp chimes of the starting bell echoed through the arena.
The moment the match officially began, all three opponents issued their commands at once.
"Exeggutor, use Hypnosis on Tsareena!" called Coconut Palm.
The Alolan Exeggutor, its absurdly long neck towering over the battlefield, twisted its heads in eerie synchronization. Its three sets of glowing blue eyes fixated on Tsareena, sending out a wave of sleep-inducing energy meant to lull her into a deep slumber.
Tsareena's brows furrowed, sensing the creeping drowsiness. In response, she swiftly snapped her vine-like legs forward, striking herself in a controlled Power Whip—forcing her body to fight off the effects of Hypnosis through sheer pain and willpower.
Before she could retaliate, another voice cut through the air.
"Kommo-o, use Clanging Scales!"
"Kooooo-MO!"
The Scaly Pokémon let out a fierce roar, its armored scales clashing together, creating an earsplitting metallic reverberation. Waves of Dragon-type energy rippled through the battlefield, striking Exeggutor and Tsareena hard. Both Pokémon flinched under the attack, their expressions twisting in discomfort.
Seeing this, Naoki quirked a brow.
So far, no one was paying attention to them. They were the clear underdogs, the supposed weakest link in this battle, which meant they had the element of surprise.
"Alright, Alcremie, use Metronome!" Naoki commanded, his voice steady and confident.
Alcremie, who had been waiting for this moment with bubbling excitement, beamed with pure joy.
"Mree!"
With a delighted chirp, the small Fairy-type extended one of her cream-tipped fingers and waggled it playfully in the air.

"Wow! The battle has erupted into absolute chaos! I didn't expect Exeggutor to target Tsareena right from the start!"
"Incredible! Tsareena used Power Whip on herself to snap out of Hypnosis! Talk about sheer determination!"
"Wait a second, Kommo-o just joined the fray! It's using Clanging Scales, and all the Pokémon on the battlefield are feeling the impact! What an intense match!"
The crowd erupted in cheers, the energy in the Royal Dome surging as the battle heated up.
Roger, the commentator, kept up with the action, speaking in rapid bursts as he narrated every move unfolding in the arena.
"The three Pokémon are locked in combat, unleashing devastating attacks! Meanwhile, Player Gold King is... being completely ignored?"
His gaze instinctively shifted toward Naoki, who had yet to make a move.
That's when he noticed something strange.
"Wait, what is Alcremie doing?!"
On the battlefield, the small Fairy-type Pokémon wasn't dodging or attacking—it was simply standing there, its tiny, cream-covered arms waggling a finger playfully in the air.
"Could it be… Metronome? Oh my Arceus! Gold King actually had Alcremie use Metronome!"
A wave of excitement and shock rippled through the audience.
As everyone knew, Metronome was one of the most unpredictable moves in the Pokémon world.
It could call forth anything—from the weakest of status moves to an attack of overwhelming devastation.
Most trainers only resorted to the Metronome as a last-ditch effort, when all other strategies had failed.
But here, in the high-stakes Super Division qualifier, Gold King had chosen to gamble everything on luck?!
And then…
It happened.
The moment Alcremie finished wagging its finger, an ominous purple energy surged from her tiny body, spiraling toward the sky.
A dark cloud materialized above the battlefield, brimming with an oppressive, almost divine presence.
Within the swirling storm, crackles of fire sparked to life—like something ancient and terrifying was awakening within it.
All three Pokémon in the melee—Kommo-o, Exeggutor, and Tsareena—suddenly froze.
They all sensed it. They knew something was about to descend.
And then—
BOOM!
From within the storm, enormous meteors, glowing with scorching flames, began to rain down like a celestial catastrophe.
It was Draco Meteor.
"WHAT?! ALCREMIE'S METRONOME JUST SUMMONED DRACO METEOR?!"
Roger's voice cracked with disbelief, the sheer shockwave of the moment leaving him gripping his microphone so tightly his knuckles turned white.
"Danger! Get out of the way!"
Coconut Palm realized the incoming threat and immediately stopped fighting with the other two trainers.
At the same time, Muscle Demon and Frost Queen also came to the same decision—ordering their Pokémon to retreat immediately.
If they were caught in Draco Meteor's massive area-of-effect, they'd stand no chance!
With a deafening boom, colossal dragon-infused meteors rained down, crashing into the battlefield one after another.
"Dodge it, Kommo-o!" Muscle Demon shouted.
"Tsareena, get out of the way!" called the Frost Queen.
The two Pokémon swiftly responded to their trainers' orders, using their speed and agility to evade the devastating celestial attack.
But Alolan Exeggutor—far too large and slow—wasn't so lucky.
Two Draco Meteor projectiles smashed directly into its towering form, engulfing it in an explosive inferno.
"BOOM!"
The entire battlefield trembled from the impact.
Even though Kommo-o and Tsareena had dodged the direct hits, the resulting shockwaves and fiery debris left them battered and visibly shaken.
For a brief moment, the entire arena fell silent.
A single Alcremie—a Pokémon better known for decorating cakes—had just unleashed one of the most powerful Dragon-type moves in existence, eliminating one opponent outright and severely injuring the remaining two.
The audience could hardly believe their eyes.
Then, someone finally broke the silence:
"What in the world is that Alcremie?!"
"That Was Just Luck!"
Muscle Demon clenched his fists, his expression full of frustration.
"That brat just got lucky!" he growled.
But regardless of whether it was luck or skill, the reality was clear—his opponent had completely flipped the battle upside down in an instant.
"Kommo-o, use Clanging Scales!"
The Dragon/Fighting-type Pokémon let out a resounding war cry, its entire scaly body vibrating violently as waves of piercing sound energy exploded outward.
The battlefield shook as the vibrating shockwaves spread in all directions, threatening to overwhelm Alcremie with sheer force.
Meanwhile, Tsareena turned toward its trainer, awaiting an order.
The masked woman hesitated for a moment before shaking her head subtly.
Rather than joining in on the attack, she gave a cautious signal—wait and observe.
This battle was already proving to be unpredictable. Rushing in recklessly could prove disastrous.
Naoki remained calm and unfazed.
"Alcremie, use Metronome again."
"Miee~!"
Alcremie joyfully wiggled her tiny fingers, activating the unpredictable power of Metronome.
The audience held their breath, eager to see what move would appear this time.
Just as Kommo-o's Clanging Scales was about to make contact, a brilliant green aura suddenly erupted from Alcremie's body.
The small Fairy-type Pokémon became engulfed in emerald energy, glowing brighter and brighter.
Then—before anyone could react—
WHOOSH!
The arena trembled as a streak of green energy zipped across the battlefield, leaving a glowing afterimage in its wake.
Wait—Kommo-o had been struck!
The Dragon/Fighting-type Pokémon froze; its muscles tensed as the dark energy around its claws flickered and vanished.
Its eyes widened in pure disbelief, its mouth slightly open as if trying to process what had just happened.
It slowly lowered its gaze to its abdomen, where a faint green glow still lingered from the impact.
A deep "Uhh…" rumbled from Kommo-o's throat.
And then—
THUD.
The towering, armored Pokémon collapsed onto the battlefield, unconscious.
The crowd erupted into chaos.
"Unbelievable!" Commentator Roger clutched his microphone in shock. "That Alcremie just eliminated Kommo-o!"
Naoki exhaled slowly, feeling the tension leave his shoulders.
Extreme Speed had landed at just the right moment.
Now, only one opponent remained!
"Alcremie, use Metronome again!" Naoki called out.
The moment he gave the order, however, his opponent finally realized something critical.
That Alcremie was no ordinary Pokémon.
"Tsareena, Grassy Glide! Stop it!"
The regal Grass-type Pokémon instantly assumed a low, streamlined stance, its legs glowing with a vibrant green energy.
Swoosh!
Tsareena launched herself forward, moving with startling speed, closing the distance in seconds.
BAM!
Her powerful kick connected, sending Alcremie rolling across the battlefield before it could activate Metronome.
The crowd gasped as dust flew into the air.
Naoki narrowed his eyes.
That attack had been timed perfectly.
Tsareena wasn't done yet.
"Power Whip!"
A long, vine-like appendage snapped out from Tsareena's body, curling into her hands like a coiled whip.
With a fierce crack, she whipped the ground, sending shockwaves rippling across the battlefield.
"Alcremie, use Protect!"
"Mree!"
In an instant, a shimmering white shield materialized in front of Alcremie, intercepting the attack just in time.
The Power Whip slammed into the protective barrier, sending shockwaves through the air before fizzling out completely.
Naoki saw an opening.
"Now! Use Metronome!"
Alcremie's eyes gleamed, and she lifted her tiny arms, wiggling her fingers with excitement.
The audience held their breath.
What move would it be this time?
Tsareena's trainer realized the danger.
"Tsareena, attack!"
The Grass-type swung her Power Whip again—
But it was too late.
Alcremie's Metronome activated.
A dazzling white glow burst forth, surrounding Alcremie in a radiant aura that rapidly expanded outward.
The entire arena was bathed in light.
A glowing sphere of energy formed above the battlefield, hovering for just a moment before detonating in a burst of pure power.
"WHAT IS THAT MOVE?!"
The audience gasped in unison as countless beams of white energy rained down from above, cascading over the battlefield like an orbital bombardment.
It was a move of overwhelming force.
It was Judgement.
The Tsareena trainer's expression froze as she watched her Pokémon vanish beneath the relentless barrage of light-infused energy blasts.
The attack lasted only seconds—but when the dust cleared;
Only one Pokémon remained standing.
Alcremie.
The entire arena fell silent.
Spectators stared in shock at the unconscious Tsareena and the still-standing, unharmed Alcremie.
