"Slowking, use Nasty Plot and Miracle Eye!"
"Honchkrow, Tailwind!"
"Weavile, Icy Wind!"
"Drapion, Toxic Spikes!"
Cain wasted no time with words. After scanning the information on the enemy Pokémon, he launched his attack immediately.
A Crawdaunt at level 43 with dark green quality and a Mightyena at level 45 with green quality—these weren't particularly strong opponents, so there was no need to waste time.
At that moment, they had struck Cain's most sensitive nerve.
Straight to action!
Slowking simultaneously used Nasty Plot and Miracle Eye, its eyes flashing with a multicolored, commanding glow.
Both Crawdaunt and Mightyena were Dark-type, so for Slowking to attack them, Miracle Eye was necessary.
Honchkrow, having already defeated several Lunatone, had accumulated three stacks of the Moxie ability. After boosting with Tailwind, it prepared to attack at full force; however, the tight space limited its movements.
Drapion charged forward, using Toxic Spikes beneath the enemies' feet. By now, it had mastered this move completely.
Meanwhile, Weavile used Icy Wind. In such a confined area, the move was highly effective, affecting not only the enemy Pokémon but also their trainers, who were chilled to the bone.
"Damn it, Mightyena, charge!" Pash shouted, tossing another Pokéball. A Swalot appeared, stepping in to block Weavile's Icy Wind.
On the other hand, while Rina was also being attacked, she didn't react with the same fury as Pash. Instead, she frowned, deep in thought, feeling a vague familiarity with Cain.
Mightyena advanced alone, but even with its strength, it couldn't handle four Pokémon simultaneously.
It was swiftly intercepted by Drapion.
Drapion knew Mightyena well. During its time as a Skorupi, it had defeated many of them, knowing exactly where their weak points were.
"Drapion, Toxic Strike (Poison Fang + Venoshock)!" Cain ordered.
If Poison Fang caused poisoning, Venoshock would deal double damage, enough to finish Mightyena in a single blow.
Drapion let out a roar and grabbed Mightyena with its pincers. The grip was so strong that Mightyena couldn't even struggle.
With its body strengthened after evolution and a month of intense training, Drapion had perfect control over every part of its body.
Pinned down tightly, Mightyena couldn't break free no matter how much it tried.
With venom-coated fangs, Drapion bit directly into a weak spot on Mightyena's back.
The poison was injected into its body, followed by a viscous substance that Drapion spat onto it.
Poison Fang inflicted poisoning, activating Venoshock's double damage. Additionally, hitting a weak spot triggered Drapion's Sniper ability, maximizing the damage.
With a single move, Mightyena was instantly defeated.
Feeling that Mightyena was no longer capable of fighting, Drapion tossed it aside like trash.
At that moment, Drapion had fully mastered its Sniper ability.
The one-hit victory had emerged!
Pash froze, staring at Mightyena lying to the side, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Why?
By appearances, the two Pokémon should have been evenly matched.
Even if Mightyena was slightly weaker, how had this happened?
He had sent Mightyena intending to hold off Cain's four Pokémon.
If Cain had known what Pash was thinking, he would have mocked him.
Had he lost his mind? How could he think a single Pokémon would hold off four of Cain's?
Where did that confidence come from?
"Rina, stop standing there! Send out your Pokémon, or we're done for!" Pash shouted, his eyes bloodshot with rage.
Pash's superior had sent Rina to prevent him from acting impulsively.
Well, it seemed that had failed.
Rina sighed in frustration but had no choice. As Pash had said, if they hesitated any longer, both of them would be eliminated.
"Pash, let's go all out! Send out all your Pokémon!" Rina said, throwing four Pokéballs.
After witnessing Drapion's combat abilities, it was clear defeating it wouldn't be easy.
If they didn't give it their all, they stood no chance.
Pash gritted his teeth and released three more Pokéballs.
Suddenly, the cave was filled with seven additional Pokémon.
Including Crawdaunt and Swalot, there were now nine Pokémon on their side.
Meanwhile, Cain had only revealed four of his Pokémon.
Cain assessed the situation seriously, his eyes flashing as he activated the data system to gather information on the new Pokémon.
After reviewing the results, his expression turned disdainful.
He hadn't wanted to confront them earlier to avoid trouble, but now trouble had found him.
So be it!
This way, he could show Bagon just how strong his trainer was, so it would understand the kind of power it could have by following him.
"Watch closely, Bagon! Not only will I make you fly, but you'll become as strong as them," Cain said to the Bagon behind him.
Upon hearing this, Bagon's face lit up with admiration. Flying and becoming powerful were its greatest dreams.
It had seen the strength Drapion displayed in battle.
What overwhelming power! If it had that kind of strength, it would no longer have to worry about being bullied by those annoying rocks.
"Slowking, unleash your full power with continuous Psychic!"
"Honchkrow, attack mercilessly! Sky Attack!"
"Weavile, Blizzard!"
"Drapion!" Cain paused as he gave the order.
Drapion turned its head with a cruel smile, waiting for the command.
"Crush them all!" Cain said coldly.
"Cha!" Drapion roared excitedly, charging forward at full speed.
For the past month, it had been holding back its power. Though it had mastered control over its body, it was eager to unleash its full strength.
Fully armed, it lunged at the nine enemy Pokémon, grabbing one and pummeling it mercilessly with its pincers, mouth, tail, and every joint available, ignoring the others' attacks.
Slowking and the others unleashed their full power as well.
This was the first time Slowking used its maximum psychic power since consuming the Blood of Mew.
For their enemies, facing this gang of beasts was a grave danger.
