Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Stop being disrespectful

Zenith’s desperate grunt echoed vibrantly along with the mountain breeze, but it was pretty intimidating since he had used his domineering tone as his command towards Kylian.

If it had been an ordinary frail omega in his place, his howl could’ve already shaken his feet badly to stand still, facing such a scary Alpha and getting overwhelmed by the excessive amount of pheromones Zenith was releasing himself unknowingly. In worst cases, they might’ve already fainted since the majority of the omegas are born in this world with weak hearts.

But considering it was a blessing in disguise, Kylian was born as the strongest among all, not by physically but also with his tough resilience that bestowed his iron will.

He didn’t feel much affected by Zenith’s authoritative growl, except for some unusual palpitations that ran down his spine after being exposed to an excessive amount of dominant Alpha pheromones all of a sudden.

However, while his tearful eyes glistened at Zenith’s grimacing face maintaining a brief silence, Kylian couldn’t help but ponder on his own, slowly lifting his hands down from Zenith’s shirt and clenching them tight like a fist.

’Is...this is what is known as an Alpha’s obsession? Since growing up in my small town, I had sometimes heard Mom talking about an Alpha’s obsession has been always known as one of the scariest things to exist in this world...as during this stage they can act quite frenzy. As I face him now, I can’t help but wonder, does Zenith feel this way towards me...is it because I am his fated pair?

’But right now when I am facing Zenith, strangely, I don’t feel it intimidating at all. Instead...I am writhed with guilt. Since the beginning, I was aware that Zenith’s craziness would have no limits, he might really blow up everything whenever things move in the wrong direction...But I overlooked everything...hopelessly believing that I could tame him to become a gentle person.

’It seemed I had underestimated everything. Yes, it was all my fault. I should have never let him build his way into my heart. I think if only I hadn’t come to the Academy...maybe I could have prevented all this from happening. What will I do if Zenith turns out miserable while staying with me? But how am I supposed to push him away when I can’t imagine my future without him anymore?’

While watching Kylian with a contemplating look on his face while holding a brief silence, Zenith couldn’t stop a vein on the side of his forehead from popping as the desperation inside him started to flare uncontrollably.

When Kylian lifted his hands down, he clenched his hold on Kylian’s right wrist and glowered his dark eyes at him, with a fuming growl, "Why aren’t you answering me, Kyle? Are you perhaps trying to feign ignorance...or maybe you’re thinking of something else now, huh?

"Don’t make me go crazy anymore. I will never allow anyone to stand between us...Not even this world, not anyone, and not even you! You’re mine...Do you hear me? I won’t allow it if you dare to take a step away from me, even if you act stubbornly—"

"My children, please calm down a little." Interrupting Zenith’s possessive growl, the middle-aged monk slowly approached them, as if he wanted to stop any argument from growing bigger in between them.

Watching him intervene had made Zenith a bit irked, but when both of them tossed their glance at him, the monk mumbled in a low, concerned voice, "I am very certain my Master didn’t ask you both for this ritual to create a commotion between you two, my child. It was indeed unfortunate that the outcome didn’t arrive what we all expected it to be, yet still...the whole situation can be resolved with discussion—"

"Yes, you’re right. The whole fiasco is created now because of that fuckin’ stupid ritual!" But this fervently interrupting that monk’s calm words, Zenith unleashed Kylian’s hands from his hold and turned towards the elderly monk who was also watching them with a concerned dark gaze.

He stomped his feet hard while marching towards the old man, and gritted his jaws angrily, "Why the heck did you have to feed my Kyle with such nonsensical ritual, huh?

"I should’ve never agreed to do something like that...but I still hoped maybe...the Holy Mother would feel pity for me at least a little after all these years of torment! But nope! I was proved fuckin’ wrong again! I should’ve stuck with my belief of not admitting the existence of any deities or any damn thing! If only I had been firm with my own belief, I wouldn’t have to watch my Kyle trying to push me away just because of this ridiculous thing—"

"ZENITH! Why Are You Behaving Disrespectfully Towards An Elderly Person!?" But before Zenith could finish his fervent growl towards that elderly monk, Kylian rushed towards him and grabbed his arm, as if to stop him from erupting his rage anymore. Kylian sounded very displeased by his expression while he scolded him, "Why are you venting your rage at him? It wasn’t his fault that we failed the ritual... In fact, everything he said was for our sake..."

"But we wouldn’t have been arguing like this if it hadn’t been for this stupid ritual, damn it!" Grumbling back at Kylian, Zenith exhaled a big frustrated sigh when he spoke after keeping a brief silence, "I had enough of today. Let’s head back to the Academy, right now. I don’t wish to stay here anymore."

"I can...understand the sadness and fear of abandonment you are battling inside your core, my child. I can see things, more than just eyes." The elderly monk gently walked up to them and spoke in a low, soft voice which sounded very soothing even in that tensed situation.

His gaze was fixated on Zenith who flinched a little from hearing his sentence, but before he could speak, the man continued, "I won’t ask you to calm down your rage right away. But...it is already close to sunset, and the mountain trail path will be the dungeon of cryptic beasts and spirits which might create dangers for both of you.

"That is the reason, almost everyone avoids to take this mountain path after sunset...and that is the only advice I should give you as well. I think...you should consider staying the night here at the shrine...we have plenty of spare room allotted for children like you."

"Thanks for your advice, but no, I don’t want that." Zenith unknowingly reached out his hand to hodl Kylian’s arm and clenched his grip on him, whil glowering his angry glare at that monk, "Your silly advices have already caused a trouble between us, and it must’ve filled my Kyle’s mind with ridiculous assumptions. Besides, we don’t need to use the mountain trail way...I can simply take him along with me and fly down—"

"Zenith, please. Stop disrespecting him by your arguments." However, before Zenith could profess his objection, Kylian gently grabbed his arm around his hold, and intervened in a low, somber voice that made Zenith avert his gaze on him. "We shouldn’t behave this way towards our elders, and this is the place where you finished performing your mother’s last rites too, right? Do you think she’ll be glad to see you being frantic like this?"

"Of course...it has been always like this! You’ll find everyone’s else words more important to put above me...when I am the one who has always foolishing sought your attention only! I would never keep anyone’s advice over you...but you’ll just always do the same...and sadly, I had witnessed it since the first day how you behaved towards that Todor punk right in front of me!"

Gnawing his jaws with a grim look in his dark eyes, Zenith unleashed Kylian’s hand from his grip with his grunt and averted his gaze towards the elderly monk who was frowning at him by now before he conversed, "Fine! I will accept it again since its my Kyle’s wish! But I wanna go and cool my head off for sometime, so at least until then, please refrain from filling up his head with further nonsense!"

"Hey, Zenith...where are you going all of a sudden—" Before Kylian’s words could finish, Zenith almost rushed ahead towards the thick forest next to the mountain shrine alone, like a strong gush of stormy winds passing by them.

As soon as he disappeared from their sight, Kylian frowned his brows and bowed his head in apology before the elderly monk, in a low murmur, "Sir...I am very sorry for my partner’s disrespectful behavior... He has quite an unusual strong temper, but...believe me...he’s not a bad person from inside. It just that...my words must have hit him quite a bit hard than I had expected."

"I am aware of that my child." The monk calmly smiled at his apology, patting Kylian on his shoulder as if he was trying to console him back, "Anyone in his position must’ve behaved this exact way...because by now, you must’ve realized how much he treasures you, right?"
