Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 132: Rubber Toy Hunt
How fucking many of them are there!?
Rael's brow was uncontrollably twitching as he stared at the sight in front of him.
He'd seen a bunch of people from the palace before, but the number in front of him now was way larger than he expected.
If he had to guess, there were thousands, probably tens of thousands, of people gathered.
Besides, all of these people would be paying tolls on the way out. Therefore, Celestara was going to get much richer in the upcoming week.
Nonetheless, Rael approached closer, waving at them.
"Hey everyone, I'm surprised so many of you showed up. So, what's the occasion?"
—We came here to get that fucking invite!
—Look at this guy... he looks like a total fucking edgelord kekeke.
—Come on, start the quest already! We want the invite!
These degenerate loot goblins... Rael took in a deep breath, calming down.
And of course, he had to calm them down... calmly.
"Listen here, you sacks of useless shit. You've come to my backyard, so I expect all of you to act modestly," Rael said, causing the nearby Aria to flinch.
"H-Hey... you do remember you're a royal, right?" she whispered. "If you talk like that, people will look down on you."
"Not these people," Rael replied with a chuckle. "They're idiots who'd come running if I even said the words secret location—"
—WOAAAH! Did you hear that!?
—He said there's a secret location! Fuck yeah, this NPC is definitely the MVP.
"See?" Rael pointed at each one of them, then flashed the middle finger. "They're idiot junkies who are searching for some enjoyment. By acting like this, I'll attract their attention and get them to join Celestara."
He turned back to Aria as a smirk appeared on his face.
"Why don't you give it a try?"
"...Huh?" Aria's eyes widened as she shook her head. "I could never!"
Rael shrugged. "Your loss, it's fun."
Nonetheless, Rael grinned as he realized how he could play this event.
He turned his gaze toward a particular flashing screen, and the moment he did, Rael began tinkering with the interface.
<Quest type: Toy Hunt>
<Objective: Find 3 hidden objects scattered throughout the entirety of Celestara.>
<Rewards: 3 invites to the Depths>
<Duration: 24 hours>
This was the general outline, and his idea was to simply scatter a few stupid objects around Celestara.
Thankfully, there was a system for that.
<Hidden Object: Tentacle Rubber Toy [Pink] (x3)>
Perfect.
<Random Scatter: 25 kilometer radius>
<Difficulty: Extreme>
<Exclusion: Celestara Royal Palace>
Finally, he felt like he was done.
They'd have a hard time finding it, and in the meantime, Rael could sit back and relax.
Some areas in Celestara, such as shops, were only accessible after completing certain quests.
And while he himself didn't know where the tentacle toys would end up, the difficulty setting likely took care of it being too easy.
Therefore, Rael finalized the quest, and soon...
<Would you like to assign the quest: [Toy Hunt (Level 1)] to all (x24,599) players in front of you? Yes/No>
Rael smirked, glancing at the frantic players one last time, and swiftly pressed "Yes."
Immediately, every single one of the players froze, massive smirks appearing on their faces.
Some began running toward him—or more like, toward the palace.
However, he swiftly stopped them.
-213,672! x18 Instant Kill (x18 Slap)
He gently slapped them across their foreheads, and of course, they exploded into blue particles.
Then, Rael proceeded to take a glance toward the startled players.
"Don't go looking inside the palace. It's off-limits. Just look around Celestara. Those who find it, come see me, and we can discuss whether or not I'll let you in the Depths."
—What!? What do you mean!?
—Yeah! What is this bullshit!? Isn't the reward guaranteed!?

"Nope." Rael shook his head. "If the ones who find the objects are idiots, I'll just take their invite and give it to someone else. Any objections?"
The moment his words fell, nearly every single player started shouting, protesting his words.
But in the end, what could they do except complain?
—Cointosser (Player) [Level 18] [1220/1220 HP]
—Milf_hunter (Player) [Level 21] [1690/1690 HP]
They weren't high-level, and their HP was just sad. Rael's sneeze would literally be able to wipe out all of them present.
Nonetheless, Rael grinned and clapped his hands.
"I'd recommend you go about your day, since—"
<Quest: Toy Hunt Progress updated!>
<Player: Karina has found the first object!>
<Objects found: 1/3>
"...?"
It's been less than five minutes, and someone already found the first tentacle toy?
He knew some players were luckier than others, but this was just on a whole new level.
And it seemed like the rest of the players noticed that too, since they all began scrambling in different directions.
In the meantime, there were a couple of dazed people left, and two of them he could recognize.
—Sausage Handler (Player) [Level 32] [16,200/16,200 HP]
—Crouching Tiger (Player) [Level 44] [5,520/5,520 HP]
"You two, I'm sure you're not here expecting some freebies?" Rael said, causing both of them to flinch.
"So you were... get out."
"W-Wait a second," Crouching Tiger pleaded. "Why not give us some other test? I know we might not deserve it, however, I'm sure you have many other slots available, not just three."
Rael shrugged. "I'm open to ideas."
"How about we bring back some sort of mineral?" Sausage Handler suggested. "I saw a couple of somewhat valuable ores outside of Celestara. I'm sure you'd need it for manufacturing or something."
Rael's interest was piqued. "Ores? What's their rarity?"
"I can answer that..." Crouching Tiger trailed off, taking out a blue ore from his inventory and passing it over to Rael.
Without wasting even a second, Rael inspected it.
Low Quality Celestite (Uncommon) [Level 50]
—A fragile crystal that breaks easily. Best used for long-range weapons or magic due to its strong energy output.
"Oho..." Rael grinned. "And how many such ores did you see?"
"Hundreds," Crouching Tiger replied confidently. "...So what do you say?"
Free money is always nice...
"I won't be assigning a different quest to you, but if you can bring back 500 of those ores each, then I'll consider giving you an invite," Rael said, causing their brows to twitch.
500 each definitely wasn't a small amount, and these two players knew that.
Despite that, they nodded, accepting the task and confidently walking away.
I wonder if those idiots will realize their inventories are only 50 slots? Rael snickered. Maybe they have brains and buy a bag or two on the way, but probably not.
Just as Rael was planning on going back inside the castle and relaxing, he heard footsteps, and once he turned around, he was met with a familiar face.
Though... she wasn't exactly someone he expected to see out of nowhere.
"Evelyn Ardent... what brings you here?"
