It was not a good choice to stay on a sailing ship when the storm came. Besides, if they were near the coast, they could evacuate quickly even if something unexpected happened. Most importantly, Ivanov did not think Chen An would like to stay in an empty and strange room.

However, the problem facing them was the rubber dinghy had been found missing when they braved the rain to the shore and planned to return to the sailing ship by it.

"There's no sign of dragging here, and I don't think the waves could push our rubber dinghy into the sea," Ivanov patted the pistol hidden in his clothes. "We are not alone on this island."

"Back to base first." Chen An frowned. The sky would soon be dark and the rain was getting heavier. If they could not return to the ship, they may only find a place to stay first.

Chen An and Ivanov ran back to the U.S. military base. Judging from their previous adventure experience, the doors and windows of the base were tightly closed, and the equipment and supplies seemed to have been untouched. Even if there were people on the island, they should not have entered the base.

For the sake of safety, they found an iron chain after entering the base and tied the door damaged by them from the inside to ensure that the people outside could not get in. After they checked each room one by one to make sure that there was no one inside, they packed up their guns.

"We're lucky, these cans have not expired. Although we don't have fish to eat, we won't be hungry." Ivanov rummaged out several canned beef with several years of shelf life left from the kitchen, as well as some military self-heating food.

With this food, they could survive for several months. But in Chen An's words, soldiers in no country liked to eat these because they were really unpalatable. However, no one could be picky when they were hungry.

Fortunately, the U.S. military had always had deep pockets. Although these foods were not delicious, they were far from bad. At least at the moment, Ivanov was enjoyed a good time eating chocolate.

They could not figure out who stole their rubber dinghy, either the island's aborigines or some other unidentified person. Anyway, it was relatively safe to stay in the base at this stage, but they could not stay there all the time.

The house they stayed at was like an ordinary person's home with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, which should be the residence of some senior officer stationed at that time.

"There is a communicator here. I'll check if it can be used." Ivanov found a small communicator. Although he brought his cell phone when he came, it was soaked in water and broke down on that stormy day.

Now they were really in a state of isolation with the outside world.

Ivanov's subordinates should also be looking for him, but it was uncertain when those people would find them. Sitting idle and waiting for help had always been the last option for people like Chen An and Ivanov.

"Let me have a look." Chen An sat on the bed and dealt with the com.

The night soon came. Ivanov found a candle. The faint candlelight brought some warmth. Rainstorms outside the house kept pounding on the windows.
