Chapter 1061 -1055: Forgot Something_1
“Qin Xue has never experienced such hardships since she was a child, and I never would have thought she would choose to become a military doctor,” Qin Lei sighed after hearing his son-in-law’s words.
They never wanted them to endure any hardships when they were young, but now they chose the toughest profession. Military doctors, in Qin Lei’s view, is one of the hardest vocations there is. The military itself is demanding, and being a doctor is even more so.
“She likes what she’s doing, and it’s not right for me to stop her, so I let her be. But don’t worry, dad, I’ll take care of her and won’t let her tire herself too much,” Chu Molin reassured. He understood why his father-in-law was so worried; after all, Qin Xue was doted on in her family home. But he had to relieve his father-in-law’s worries even though he couldn’t control what would happen in the end.
“That’s just lip service. You’re spoiling her, and you know it well,” Qin Lei didn’t believe his son-in-law’s words. He knew his son-in-law spoiled their daughter even more than they did as parents.
“You know what kind of girl Xue’er is, dad. Sometimes it’s not that I don’t want to discipline her, but nagging her would make her miserable, which is not necessarily a good thing, so let’s just let her be. After all, she knows her own limits,” Chu Molin couldn’t refute his father-in-law’s words. In his heart, his wife was the most important.
“Alright, as long as you’re aware. I’ll say no more. But sometimes you need to talk to her, remind her to rest and not work so hard,” Qin Lei knew from his last trip to S Province that his daughter’s personality had changed. She was more motivated, not something he cared about before, but he was worried it might go overboard.
“Yes, I understand, dad.” Chu Molin responded while hanging up a Chinese couplet.
“Brother-in-law, have you seen Fang Xiu and Jing Xin?” Qin Yu asked Chu Molin while holding Jingtao.
“No, what’s up?” Chu Molin responded to his brother-in-law after finishing hanging the couplet.
“Jing Xin handed Jingtao over to me early this morning and left with Fang Xiu. They’ve been gone for half the day. I hope nothing has gone wrong,” Qin Yu expressed his unease.
“What could go wrong? We’re in our own village. No need to guess,” Qin Lei responded to his son’s worries.
“Dad is right. Jing Xin knows what he’s doing,” Chu Molin replied, understanding the situation immediately.

Jing Xin probably felt that there were too many people at his father-in-law’s house, and since Fang Xiu was currently unable to speak, they would need time to talk over things. That’s probably why he took Fang Xiu out. They should have sorted things out by now.
How come people have no sense of time when they’re busy? According to the younger brother, they’ve been out for half a day. Shouldn’t they be back helping out? Or have they still not sorted out their issues?
Chu Molin thought, shaking his head, and decided not to worry about their matters, instead focusing on his own work.
“Xiao Yu, what are you guys talking about?” Qin Xue yawned and asked her brother.
“Nothing, sis. You didn’t sleep well, why don’t you go back to sleep?” Qin Yu asked, seeing his sister looking tired.
“I brought back a wounded mother-to-be, and I can’t leave her at home. So I’m thinking of finding a place for her to stay in the village until we return to the Imperial Capital.” Qin Xue said, not due to lack of sleep, but the many things she had to deal with that day. If she delayed any longer, the tasks wouldn’t be completed.
