Reincarnated With the World Domination System-Chapter 33: Boss
Chapter 33 - Boss
Rael probed into Sister Sophia's status.
[Name: Sister Sophia][Rank: Awakened][Age: 71][Race: ???][Attributes: Strength (B), Agility (B+), Stamina (???), Vitality (???), Magic Power (B‑)]
Are you really not a human, Sister Sophia?
Though her stats were still higher than his, Rael felt confident.
Numbers mattered only when the gap was huge.
Because he could read her status, the gulf between them could not be that wide.
He still could not see her stamina and vitality, which was odd for someone her age, but that did not matter.
Her hidden race bothered him most, making him wonder if Sister Sophia had come from another world.
Her cruelty and indifference toward the orphans' futures fit that idea.
The pair reached Sister Sophia's room and stepped inside.
Rael's focus peaked, and he clenched his hands, ready to catch even a twitch.
"You're different, Rael," Sister Sophia said, still keeping her back to him. "That's why I need to erase you."
She whirled, hand raised, then froze.
Instincts warned her about the boy who should have looked harmless.
Alarms rang like clashing bells, telling her one mistake could cost her dearly, perhaps even her life.
Rael no longer radiated innocence.
Sharp eyes fixed on her instead.
She remembered his warmth, kindness, and even love toward her, yet none of it showed now.
"If you want to erase me, you should try someplace other than this orphanage," Rael said, his voice flat. "You don't want anyone finding out about you, do you?"
"Didn't you already make everyone aware of me?" Sister Sophia asked with her gentle smile, though her eyes held no warmth. "But you're right. Kids are so easily influenced. Once you're gone, I'll fool them all again."
Rael bit his lip.
"There happens to be a good place for your funeral, Sister Sophia. The junkyard."
"Haha! I thought of taking us there as well," she replied.
She walked past him and headed straight for the junkyard.
Once she was gone, Rael clutched his shirt.
[Lord Rael.]
I'm fine. I... I really want to kill her now.
He still felt something for Sister Sophia, even if her affection had been fake.
He forced those feelings down.
That brief exchange erased every shred of empathy.
She was a devil he had to murder.
Without contacts in the military, he had no other way to save his home.
Before I kill her, I must get every answer from her.
[May you succeed, Lord Rael.]
I will succeed. There's no other way.
After Dominica's usual phrase, Rael turned and followed Sister Sophia.
He soon caught up, taking the official route that led past the junkyard guard's booth.
The guard never worked hard.
He lounged, watched videos, and ate donuts.
Most days he spared only a glance, but today something made him stare at Sister Sophia.
Seeing her, he straightened, brushed crumbs off his shirt, and stepped out.
"Good morning, boss!" the guard shouted.
"Good morning, Andrew," Sister Sophia replied. "Close the gate after we go in, then clock out. All paid."
"Really? Thank you!" Andrew beamed at the early leave.
He noticed the boy behind her.
One look gave him goosebumps and drenched him in cold sweat.
He yelped, then ran to do his last task.
Sister Sophia laughed while walking through the gate.
When Rael crossed the threshold, the gate clanged shut.
Only one of them would leave alive.
"What's this about? Do you own the junkyard?" Rael asked.
"Shouldn't you thank me for giving you and your brothers a nice playground? Anne likes dirty places too. You must have had fun with no adults around. Where's my thanks?"
Without waiting, she strode deeper among the heaps.
How many kids are in the junkyard right now?
[I have seen a few, including normies, My Lord.]
Work with the orphans and bring them to you. Show yourself if you must. I'll keep the devil busy.
[Your command is clear, My Lord. I shall see to it at once. Trust in your prowess.]
Yeah. I will.
Encouraged by his first Steelborn, Rael formed a finger gun.
Purple lightning cracked around his hand and shaped the Gauntlet of the Maker.

Coiling strands of light wove into a bullet that carried heavy metallic pressure.
Thunder boomed again as lightning hurled the shot forward.
My control over magnetic force has improved since I built the Might's Engine. I'll pour in everything I've learned and defeat you, Sister Sophia. You'll confess everything to me!
