Chapter 749: Chapter 376 Open and Secret Struggles (Five-in-One)_3
"What about the task Lord Okens assigned?"
Su Yuan responded blankly.
"Just talk to Shadler about it, anyway, you have a strong relationship with him, this task is ridiculously easy for you, I won’t bother you anymore."
After speaking to Su Yuan, Su Ming immediately turned around and chased after that purple silhouette.
He skillfully avoided the citizens on vacation, weaving through the crowd like a fish swimming through water.
Su Ming’s eyes continually focused on that mysterious flicker of purple.
Just then, several playful children rushed towards him. Su Ming quickly raised his hand to steady them and reminded them.
"Be careful."
"Okay, big brother."
The children giggled and ran away.
When Su Ming looked up toward the front, he found she had disappeared; he couldn’t see her anywhere.
At that moment, Su Ming felt as though someone was watching him from behind, his heart suddenly stirred, and he reflexively turned around.
He saw a tall figure standing behind him, with straight purple hair cascading down her shoulders, an exquisitely beautiful face, deep and magnificent purple eyes, and an extraordinary aura in her demeanor.
"Senior Irelia?"
Surprise flashed across Su Ming’s face.
"So it’s Su Ming junior, what a coincidence!"
Irelia asked with a smile.
"Indeed, it is quite a coincidence. Since the last time at the league, I haven’t seen you. Didn’t expect to bump into you here. Senior Irelia, what brings you here?"
Su Ming’s heart fluttered and he immediately responded with a smile.
"I’m currently on vacation, and since there’s a celebration going on in Shabask Kingdom, I thought I’d come for a walk."
Irelia explained to Su Ming.
"Same here."
Su Ming replied in agreement.
"Su Ming junior, I still have stalls to visit ahead, so I won’t hold you up."
Irelia said politely to Su Ming.
"Alright."
Su Ming replied with a smile.
Irelia then strolled towards the stalls ahead.
Su Ming watched her back, contemplating for a few seconds, and ultimately decided to follow her.
At that moment, Irelia squatted in front of a stall, picked up a silver hairpin embedded with green crystal stones, looked at it, then put it down.
She then stood up and saw Su Ming following again, a hint of an unusual look flashed in her purple eyes, and she spoke with a bit of resignation.
"Su Ming junior, are you looking for me for something?"
"Yes, senior. It’s already lunchtime now; why don’t we talk while we eat? Would you do me the honor?"
Su Ming warmly invited her with a smile.
"Okay."
Irelia replied calmly.
"There’s a restaurant called Blue Sea over there, it seems pretty good."
Su Ming said to Irelia.
"Su Ming junior, this restaurant is quite pricey here, isn’t it?"
"It’s rare to host senior, so price isn’t an issue."
"Alright."
Irelia didn’t refuse after hearing Su Ming’s words.
Soon they reached the Blue Sea restaurant, where a well-presented waitress in a red cheongsam respectfully greeted them.
"Welcome, sir, madam!"
"Find us a quiet seat."
Su Ming said calmly.
"Please follow me!"
The waitress led them to a table by the window.
Su Ming immediately stepped forward, pulled out a chair, and said with a smile.
"Please sit, senior!"
"Su Ming junior, that’s quite gentlemanly of you, thank you."
Irelia stepped forward and sat down.
Su Ming caught a mild scent of daisies, his brows furrowing slightly; it was surprisingly not the fragrance of gentians.
However, he quickly regained his composure, sat down opposite her, picked up the paper menu on the table, and handed it to Irelia.
"Senior, see if there’s anything you’d like."
"Okay."
Irelia casually accepted it and began browsing the menu.
Su Ming quietly observed Irelia, his brows furrowing more deeply with doubt swirling in his mind.
At that moment, Irelia noticed Su Ming looking at her, and spoke to the nearby waitress.
"I’ll have the pan-seared cod, let the gentleman handle the rest."
"Alright."
The waitress promptly replied.
"Bring us two of your signature dishes; would you like something to drink, senior?"
Su Ming said directly.
"Water will do."
Irelia replied calmly.
"Alright, I’ll order right away."
The waitress respectfully left.
Soon, three beautifully presented dishes were served, and Su Ming attentively said to Irelia.
"Senior, eat while it’s hot."
"Thank you."
Irelia lifted her left hand, gently tucked her hair behind her ear, then picked up her knife and fork, and delicately sliced a piece to put in her mouth.
"Which legion do you serve in, senior?"
Su Ming also picked up his chopsticks, picking up a tender beef cube, chatting while eating.
"I serve in the First Legion."
"Oh, that’s great."
"Junior, why are you asking this? If there’s something, just say it."
Irelia gazed at Su Ming.
Su Ming felt conflicted for a moment, not knowing whether to test the waters; if he guessed wrong, he would likely be in trouble later.
After pondering for a while, he chuckled and said.
"Here’s the situation: I have a Level 4 Battleship Wind, but I lack a captain. Watching your command in the tri-school league left me very impressed, so I want to invite you to be the captain of Wind."
Upon hearing Su Ming’s words, Irelia’s face showed a hint of discomfort, but she quickly returned to normal.
She smiled at Su Ming and said.
"Thank you for the invitation, junior, but I’m afraid I have to decline. My current role keeps me too busy to take on another. You should find someone more suitable."
