SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 602 - 600: FUTURE PLANS 3
Chapter 602: Chapter 600: FUTURE PLANS 3
"Um. How about we do this? You need to find kids who are at least in primary or high school. The small ones for now. I don’t think that it can be done. Let’s wait until I build or buy a bigger orphanage."
As much as she would want to nurture kids at a younger age, she couldn’t afford it. She would start with the kids who could think on their own for now and give them a home and provide a school for them.
If this project is successful, then building something bigger would be possible.
Kiara jotted that down and continued with her report.
"Since the school had been abandoned for a long time, it would take a while before the renovations were done."
"How long would that be?"
"If we increase manpower, then around May or June."
Diamond frowned a bit when she heard that. She expected it to be sooner, but it was a bit far. However, when she thought about how this school in the future would be used by kids, and if the quality of the buildings weren’t right and an accident happen, shivers went down her spine.
She didn’t dare think of such a scenario. She would be doomed, and the sin she would commit would be too big for her to carry.
As a result, she told Kiara, "they shouldn’t rush. Let them do a good job. Money isn’t a problem, but don’t let them take advantage of us."
"I will communicate more with them."
Kiara didn’t have many projects under her, except for those two. However, she still reported about her asset lists as well as any news related to them.
"Miss, regarding the apartment complex as well as the Greenbay apartment block, what do you plan to do with them? It’s a loss to have so many houses empty."
Diamond looked at Kiara with a raised brow, a smile on her face, thinking to herself how this person was so perceptive and knew how to ask the questions to what she wanted.
"Indeed, it’s a loss to keep them empty. Which is why I thought deeply. The security team had been in the city for nearly three months now and their salaries weren’t to be trifled with, though they didn’t do much.
It wasn’t like they wouldn’t afford the rent if things go south. She had planned to let the apartments be taken over by the security team, but now she thought against it.
"All apartments, I want to advertise them to all employees, disregard of which industry they are working in. I want to provide an environment where they could gather and be a family.
Which is why the Moonridge complex will be set aside for employees interested. Whether they are single or have families. They can rent a place. For those who want to share, they will speak in advance and contracts signed so that they would both be liable in the future. The ...."
Diamond explained everything she had thought about previously and as the two listened, their eyes lit up. They didn’t expect for their boss to think like that.
"So, Miss, you are saying that every employee who is under your contract can rent these apartments at a discounted price?"
Diamond nodded in response to the question.
"Um. That will be the case. I will also add that other house on the list," she said, adding the house she bought alongside the warehouse.
When the two ladies heard that, their eyes even light up further, however they didn’t say anything regarding this matter.
The conversation still continued, and it revolved around this matter. After talking about it for ten more minutes, a conclusion was drawn.
That concluded Kiara’s report.
Nancy took over once Kiara was done.
"I will start with something that might connect with the housing issue and it regards the lab. The lab staff would be coming to the city month end and most of them have one issue: housing problems. I was thinking what if we share this news with them and let them secure houses before we spread the news to others," she suggested as she looked at Diamond earnestly.
Diamond drummed the desk as she pondered over the matter and after some thinking she responded, "okay. You do so. However, those who don’t want. Don’t force them. They can still live where they want to live. However, once 3 April arrives, I expect all of them to be settled. Anyone who is absent for no particular reason, that person would be forced to spit out the money he received after getting hired."
Nancy’s lips curled as she thought of such a situation happening. In order to retain these talents, they were all paid a salary despite not working for the lab completely. And that was the money that Diamond was talking about.
"Okay, I will settle that." She didn’t refute, but agreed to her boss’s threats. "The lab’s renovations should be done before the 28th. I have checked everything and everything equipment that you wanted, is being installed and ..."
The report on the lab was quite long, and Diamond could understand why. One silly mistake and they might end up sued or in prison. It was a delicate job, so more effort was needed.
After the report on the lab, Nancy moved to the recently opened companies.
"The majority of the staff who had taken loans had invested in the trading packages. There is a lot of chatter related to the package on D-Angel app and the response is quite good."
Nancy dedicatedly reported, and Diamond could be seen nodding and frowning now and then until the report ended.
"Okay, this is quite good. For now, just help the general managers into settling and once they do, from next month you will be concentrating on the lab," Diamond instructed.
Nancy was flexible. She started working at the foundation before she went to other projects.
Now that the trading company and loan business were picking up, there was no need for her to continue being an eyesore there. As her executive assistant, she hoped that Nancy would take on more projects that would build her portfolio, or rather, in her case, lessen her burden.
One day, she was going to reward Nany greatly for her contributions. However, she needed to prove her worth.
Diamond didn’t notice the mysterious glint that flickered in Nancy’s eyes when she said that.
"I will make sure that I handle everything before moving on to the next project."
"That’s good!" Diamond said beamingly, happy with such an answer.
