Chapter 164: Scamp of 163 Cities (4) Three More

The Instructor thought Ye Shaohua would say a few words in defense, but to their surprise, she didn’t utter a single word and simply nodded.

"Instructor," Ye Shaohua glanced at the time on her phone, "if there’s nothing else, I’ll go to my class now."

"Go ahead." The Instructor wasn’t particularly keen to scrutinize her and, with a wave of the hand, looked down and began fiddling with papers again.

The next session comprised two extensive lectures, which Ye Shaohua’s class attended together with other classes.

Among those present were Cui Hao and Xun Yilin.

By the time she arrived, class was about to begin, and the classroom was nearly full, with only a few seats left.

All the spots were taken, save for a few in the first row, so Ye Shaohua headed straight there.

Only the middle of the first row had some seats remaining.

"Excuse me," she said to the girl at the outermost seat.

It was as if the girl hadn’t heard her at all.

Ye Shaohua tapped the desk and repeated, "I said, excuse me."

This time, the girl seemed to have heard and moved aside, albeit slowly.

Ye Shaohua took a seat in the middle, and as soon as she did, the guy beside her acted as though he’d seen something filthy and immediately moved two seats to the right.

Laughter could be clearly heard from behind her.

The two extensive lectures went by quickly. Cui Hao and Xun Yilin were prominent figures in the School, especially Cui Hao, who was the Student Union president. When they were dating, many had envied and been jealous of Ye Shaohua.

Now that the two had broken up, which was no secret, the number of speculative glances at Ye Shaohua only increased.

After class, some people rushed to the Cafeteria while others lingered, hoping to catch another glimpse of Cui Hao and Xun Yilin.

The girl who had previously blocked Ye Shaohua from entering now appeared to be deliberately obstructing her from leaving.

After several such instances, Ye Shaohua finally confirmed it was intentional.

She looked up, glanced at the girl, and recalled from her memory that this was her roommate, Su Xia, who was likely harboring a crush on Cui Hao. Previously, when the original body’s owner was in the dorm, she had woken up in the middle of the night to see a female ghost sitting by Su Xia’s bed, which had made her scream in fright.

Su Xia and others didn’t believe in such things and thought Ye Shaohua was doing it on purpose, bearing resentment towards her ever since.

"Ye Shaohua, we’re in the 21st century now, so don’t try to fool me with your ghosts and goblins. I don’t have the patience to indulge you, and don’t expect to bring your superstitious nonsense to our class and make us all a laughingstock," Su Xia declared, looking up.

The few remaining in the class cheered for Su Xia.

Ye Shaohua stared at Su Xia’s dark circles for a while, "Your parents desired a son, but due to lack of virtue in your ancestors, they could not fulfill that wish. You have three sisters, and at the age of five, you survived a brush with death. Recently, have you been experiencing lower back pain, waking up from nightmares every night, feeling short of breath when you wake up? This will continue until one day, you die suddenly from overexertion."

At these words, the other two girls in the dorm chuckled, "Come on, don’t listen to this lunatic. Su Xia clearly has only two sisters. Who believes what she says?"

Only Su Xia stepped aside with a change of color in her face.

Ye Shaohua left with an unchanged expression.

"What’s up, Su Xia, did that crazy girl scare you?" a roommate teased Su Xia.

Su Xia pulled a face but said nothing; a profound fear swelled within her.

There was something she had never told her friends: she indeed had three sisters, but the youngest had been given away immediately after birth because she was another daughter.

She was certain she had never mentioned this to anyone, and even their neighbors knew little of it.

How did Ye Shaohua know?

Could it be... she truly predicted it? The thought terrifies Su Xia.

Meanwhile, Ye Shaohua had left shortly after speaking her piece because cinnabar and Talisman Paper were somewhat expensive, and she had purchased only a little the day before.

It turned out she had a talent for drawing Talismans, so she decided to buy some more cinnabar and Talisman Paper for self-defense, or even to sell if it came to it.

Ye Shaohua was distressed at the thought of her identity as a spiritual master.

She brought some cash and bought more Talisman Paper and cinnabar.

Lin Weiwei hadn’t sought her out in the past few days. Ye Shaohua had run into Weiwei a couple of times on the street, and Weiwei seemed very happy, probably because she had encountered some good fortune.

Ye Shaohua lived in an old Community where neighbors had been familiar for decades and quickly learned of Lin Weiwei having a wealthy friend who drove a sports car, causing much envy towards Lin’s mother.

Ye Shaohua was unbothered; she simply purchased a new mirror to hang in the restroom and moved the old one away, covering it with Talisman Paper and placing it in a box for peace of mind.

Though the entity seemed to be afraid of her, Ye Shaohua did not want to leave such a thing watching her bathe or use the restroom.

Ning Zhou had been roaming around the Community hoping to find the great master.

Several days had passed without a sighting of the master.

But fortune favors the determined, for today he finally spotted the master. He immediately got out of his car, rushed over to her with excitement, "Master! I’ve finally found you!"

Ye Shaohua noticed the Black Qi swirling above his head, "Let’s find a place to talk."

This startled Ning Zhou; he thought to himself that the master surely was extraordinary, already aware he sought her for a matter.

Ning Zhou had come to Ye Shaohua not only to express gratitude for her help last time but he indeed needed her help again. Having no doubts about her abilities after the previous incident, he pleaded, "My grandfather is in a coma, and the doctors are vague, advising my father to seek a sage. We knew then that it couldn’t be something doctors could cure. Master Ye, as long as you can wake my grandfather, I will surely reward you handsomely!"

Ye Shaohua got out of the car, looking at the small villa in front of her, "I’ll see what I can do."

Ning Zhou couldn’t contain his joy.

"Dad, Mom, I’ve brought the master home," he announced as he led Ye Shaohua inside.

"Shush," Ning’s mother glanced at Ye Shaohua. She was too young and didn’t seem as inscrutably profound as typical masters, and she paid her little mind, "Master Ku is currently exorcising demons from your grandfather."
