Chapter 82: CH 82: Dave vs Mergers (Part 1)

Jackie’s voice thundered across the factory floor, greatly infuriated. A prominent vein could be seen bulging on his forehead as he bellowed, "D and T Mergers, take this bastard down!"

Dave raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "D and T? What kind of names are those?" he mused, bracing himself for what was to come.

From the shadows, three imposing figures stepped forward. Their massive frames exuded power, each movement deliberate and menacing.

In unison, they tore off their shirts, revealing chiseled abs that soon started to contort and shift. Their bones cracked, muscles bulged, and their skin also morphed as their transformations begin.

Dave couldn’t help but wonder what was special about these guys, especially since they were transforming just like the rest he had beaten so far. Yet, something about these individuals felt different, more formidable.

As their transformation ended, the three mergers stood transformed into their beast forms, each of them radiating a unique and terrifying presence.

The first merger had the massive head of a rhinoceros, its horn gleaming under the factory lights. While on his back, feathery wings sprouted from it, flapping with a force that stirred the dust around them. But instead of the expected hooves of a rhino or the talons of a bird, it possessed the powerful limbs of a crocodile, each step causing the ground to tremble.

The system had even popped up above Dave’s face to give details about what he was currently seeing.

[A Triple Beast Merger Identified - Rhicrobird]

The Rhicrobird just as identified has a massive horn jutted from its snout. It glinted menacingly under the factory lights. This natural weapon was capable of delivering devastating attacks, piercing through the toughest of defenses.

Also, the expansive wings that the Rhicrobird possess, grants it the ability to lift itself to the skies, offering both mobility and a vantage point for aerial assaults.

Its crocodile limbs ending in a clawed feet that provided both speed and grip. These limbs allowed for swift movement on land and in water, making the Rhicrobird a versatile combatant across both terrains.

Moving on to the second merger, atop its body sat the majestic head of a lion, complete with a flowing mane. Its eyes burned with intensity, and its jaws were capable of delivering bone-crushing bites.

Then extending from the lion’s head was a long, segmented body of a caterpillar. Its form provided flexibility and a multitude of legs, each ending in sharp claws that gripped the ground with ease.

[A double beast merger identified - Calilar]

Right at that moment, the Calilar let out a thunderous roar, a visible shockwave emanated from its mouth, rippling through the air and causing Dave to momentarily lose his footing, but he was quick to get back on his feet. He could feel the pushing strength behind the roar, but this had only made him smile.

With all three beast mergers poised for combat, the atmosphere thickened with anticipation. Dave’s grin widened, ready to assert his dominance and in time, turn these powerful beings into his allies.

It shows that these merger were strong and might even be on par with him. If there are people with superpowers out there, then it means they might just be as strong as him, and if that was so, then having these mergers as his army would serve as a plus to aid his fight, in case he finds himself in a very tight spot.

Now he knows why these group of mergers were called the D and T. With "D" denoting Double Beast Mergers and "T" signifying Triple Beast Mergers. These designations reflected the number of beasts each individual had fused with, enhancing their capabilities exponentially.

As for the third beast merger, an owl’s head perched atop its body which is composed of four pairs of spider limbs. Its large, unblinking owl eyes locked onto Dave, and an unsettling sensation washed over him. But as Dave stared into his eyes, he could feel his senses dulling, as if he was being pulled into a trance-like state.

Recognizing the danger, he shut his eyes, breaking the spell’s hold. Its abilities were clear: the Merger’s hypnotic gaze was able to place their opponent into a trance-like state, which is a very advantageous ability.

Apart from the large owl eyes that the merger has, the rest of his body was made of spider limbs with the ability to form cobwebs which could bind their enemies after placing them in a trance-like state.

The merger also happened to be a double merger, just like the previous merger.

[A double beast merger identified - Spowlder]

All three beast mergers towered over Dave, their forms at least four times the size of an average human. Their presence radiated an intimidating aura, capable of instilling fear in even the bravest of souls.

But to their surprise, despite all the initial scaring the mergers had made, Dave doesn’t look to be deterred a bit. Oddly, they could see him grinning and smiling as he gazed at the trio creatures before him.

"Is this person insane?" One of the men said, watching everything unfold.

"Then he’s insane enough to get himself killed," Jackie retorted, his voice laced with disdain.

This was the thought on everyone’s mind, they couldn’t help but think that Dave must have some kind of death wish or something. No one in their right mind would stand in front of three huge monsters.

But there was something about Dave, perhaps the strange confidence he has that kept on bothering not just Jackie but everyone that was watching.

Jackie then bellowed, giving orders to the trio Mergers standing before Dave. "Attack the enemy, now!"

Each of the beast mergers lunged forward, their combined might converging on Dave, who remained unmoving, ready to confront the onslaught.

Jackie sneered, watching as the fight begin to unfold. "Perhaps three is too much." He said, clearly underestimating Dave. "One of them could have easily deal with him."

But very soon, Jackie was going to regret ever saying these words.
