Standing Next To You-Chapter 351: Tell the family
Chapter 351: Tell the family
As Lin Fei’s butler had said, it would take some time for them to obtain the information they wanted. But after bribing many people, they finally had some information in their hands.
Lin Fei went through the reports with a solemn expression. As he expected, Fei Chuan wasn’t simple.
That brat had met with the Chairman of the YY company and several of its investors. From the looks of it, Fei Chuan was expanding his influence. Judging by how frequently he visited, he must be involved in some ongoing confidential project of the company.
"I admit he is impressive. But he has been doing all this without the knowledge of both the Fei and the Chuan families. So who could be his backer?" Lin Fei muttered.
No matter how talented Fei Chuan was, he wouldn’t be able to expand his influence by himself. Especially not as smoothly as this.
Someone must be backing him. However, no matter how much they dug, they always hit a dead end.
"So you met him?" A flirtatious voice sounded behind him. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
Lin Fei turned off his phone and smiled at the woman who had just appeared. "I did."
"So, your verdict?" The woman sat on the couch lazily.
"He is interesting. But I don’t like him." Lin Fei sat beside her. "But why are you here? As far as I know, you only visit this place on weekends."
"You gave me the key. So I plan to stay here as long as I can. The view from the top is beautiful, after all."
The woman and Lin Fei flirted for a long while.
This woman, Chuan Xingyu, was Lin Fei’s current fling. She was an illegitimate daughter of the Chuan family. The current head of the family had many mistresses, and she was one of the children he hid from the world.
Lin Fei met her in a bar and learned of her identity. Since then, they had always been in contact and exchanged benefits, whether physical or material.
Chuan Xingyu flirtatiously touched the area under his eyes. "Have you not been sleeping well?"
Lin Fei sighed. "Well, my dear cousin is in a rebellious stage right now."
"Oh, so you guys fought? No wonder you look so stressed." She then smiled devilishly and took something from her bag, flaunting it to Lin Fei. "This is the recent trend from the bar I visited last time. It will make you forget your stress once you take it."
Lin Fei looked at the white powder in the translucent plastic she was holding. His gaze darkened. "Are you serious? I don’t do drugs."
"I have tried it. It’s the mildest out there, and it works wonders. What’s more, it is paired with another drug." She took out another pouch with blue powder in it. "This detoxifies the drug in your system, so you won’t get addicted. And it will be untraceable. I wouldn’t recommend something to you unless I had tried it. And I can say this works like magic."
Lin Fei stood up, his face grim. "Get out. I don’t want to see you until you throw that trash out."
Chuan Xingyu was stunned. She did not expect Lin Fei to reject her so coldly. "I brought this because I know you’ve been under a lot of stress lately—"
"Chuan Xingyu, don’t make me repeat myself." Lin Fei’s cold gaze finally made Chuan Xingyu angry.
"Fine! I’m just looking out for you!" She stood up and left angrily.
Lin Fei sighed. No matter how crazy he could be, he wouldn’t do drugs.
’You are not taking any drugs, are you?’
Lin Fei chuckled in ridicule as he recalled what Bei Sangyun had asked him before.
Did he really look like someone who would turn to drugs?
Both Chuan Xingyu and Bei Sangyun seemed to have the wrong impression of him.
He wasn’t foolish enough to depend on drugs.

The school’s forum was still filled with congratulations for the couple. Even though a few days had passed since the event, the matter hadn’t died down. It was still the topic of discussion, not only among the seniors but also among the junior students.
In the junior building of class 3-1A, Lin Xiaoni was surrounded by her classmates.
"It’s too bad you weren’t around when the event happened! The school tyrant and the male school god Fei Chuan are truly a match made in heaven!"
"That’s the first time I saw them too. I am so happy we were all invited that day. I got the chance to see the chemistry between them!"
"I thought it was all just a rumor, but it turned out that the two are indeed a couple. I saw them for the first time, and I can say they have this love bubble around them."
"Someone from another class said they saw the two together on a date. The shop was empty except for them, and they were feeding each other. So sweet!"
"How I wish I could have a relationship like theirs. Do you think they will get engaged?"
"Lin Xiaoni, did you hear any news from your family? Will the tyrant have Fei Chuan as her fiancé officially?"
Lin Xiaoni smiled awkwardly. "My cousin rarely speaks about her personal life with the family. If there’s any official statement from the family, you guys will be the first to know."
Her classmates thanked her and began daydreaming again.
Lin Xiaoni was silent in her seat. Inside, she was anxious.
She also expected this matter to have been reported to the family. But why was no one talking about it? Did Lin Sunji not tell her family?
When the rumors first began about that crazy bitch and the loser of the school being together, Lin Xiaoni did not believe it.
No matter what the school forum said, the iron-clad and tyrannical Bei Sangyun in her mind wouldn’t stoop so low as to even engage with that kind of guy.
However, the banners around the school and the principal’s congratulations were enough evidence to show that the two were indeed together and it wasn’t just rumors!
Lin Xiaoni was shocked for many days. It was a silent rule that the members of the Lin family couldn’t have an official relationship until the head of the family approved it.
But Bei Sangyun hadn’t asked the headmaster for his approval, yet she had officially announced it to the world.
Did she want to be kicked out? The incident at the last family dinner had put Bei Sangyun on their grandfather’s bad side. With this additional trouble she caused, Lin Xiaoni wouldn’t be shocked if Bei Sangyun were kicked out because of this.
After being shocked, she wanted to immediately tell this news to her family and use this information however they wanted. Perhaps they could fan the flames with this.
Lin Xiaoni thought of her cousin Lin Sunji, who was usually her partner in crime in some schemes against Bei Sangyun, and told her about it.
But unexpectedly, Lin Sunji just rolled her eyes at her.
"Are you a dimwit? Do you want to die early?"
"What? I’m not the one who is going to be in trouble! It will be Bei Sangyun! If we tell Grandpa about this, he will be angry enough to kick her out!"
"Are you sure Grandpa can kick her out?" Lin Sunji scoffed at her. "Can’t you see that she made Grandpa angry at the family dinner last time, but Grandpa didn’t even punish her."
Lin Xiaoni was stunned. That’s right. Bei Sangyun had been so disrespectful, yet their grandfather only got angry with all of them.
"You can tell your family if you want. Your branch can tattle about it to Grandpa. However, be prepared for the repercussions. If you are confident enough to take Bei Sangyun’s wrath, then go on. I won’t stop you."
Lin Xiaoni thought about Bei Sangyun’s tyrannical ways and couldn’t help but shudder.
The reason she was telling this to Lin Sunji was because if the two of them were in it together, she wouldn’t be scared of facing Bei Sangyun.
But...
"What do you mean? Are you really just turning a blind eye to this? This is an opportunity for us to send her out!"
"Then do it. Just don’t drag me with you if your branch falls."
Lin Xiaoni paled. So the fourth branch didn’t even have the guts to go against Bei Sangyun on this?
She didn’t understand why Lin Sunji wasn’t taking this seriously. But Lin Sunji’s warning was effective enough to make Lin Xiaoni halt her plans.
Thus, Lin Xiaoni had been thinking about it for days, debating whether to tell her family or not.
Lin Xiaoni opened the forum and took several screenshots.
Lin Sunji must have gone cowardly because she was kicked out from the heirship. She must have lost motivation to go against Bei Sangyun.
But she was different!
She was still a potential heir in name and she had the Simon family as her backup. No matter what kind of revenge Bei Sangyun attempted, she was sure she could handle it.
Lin Xiaoni stood up. She would tell this first to her mother.
Let’s see then if Bei Sangyun could still be an heir after this.
