Star Gate-Chapter 1067: The Path of the Dao Master (III)
Chapter 1067: The Path of the Dao Master (III)
All of the soldiers cultivating outside the mine suddenly received a message through their armor.
“As a reward for everyone’s meritorious service in our most recent battle, I am bestowing upon you a cultivation method for a new dao meridian. This is not to be shared with anyone! This meridian will double the capacities of the body and blood qi. Here is the cultivation diagram, study it well!”
A cultivation diagram appeared in front of everyone with a complete explanation of how to open a new dao meridian.
The troops were shocked at what they heard. This meridian could improve their physical body by one hundred percent?
That was... incredible!
“Cultivate on these premises.” New orders traveled through the armor. “You are not to demonstrate this dao meridian or its acupoints on a normal basis. This is a special method limited to the army! And now, I will supply Water of Life for everyone. I hope you are all able to fully open this meridian after three days!”
Vast quantities of Water of Life drizzled down in the ruins. Not only that, but countless mysterious power stones shattered and released their energy. Those chatting amongst themselves outside the mine were stunned by the sudden development.
Jiang Li sucked in a sharp breath. Li Hao was... crazy, wasn’t he? He was depleting so many mysterious power stones and Water of Life for ordinary soldiers to cultivate?
The highly excited soldiers sat cross-legged on the ground to train the body dao meridian.
......
Li Hao had disappeared again. He was back in the Hao Cosmos. As a large number of people began cultivating body dao, he darted through the void and quickly stopped in an empty expanse. There was some energy gathering here.
Physical body dao energy!
He’d once thought that there should be order to the great dao universe. The five elements should be gathered in one sector, physical body dao in another, unattributed power in yet another.
The dao universe should be sectioned accordingly and the unordered rendered into order. Only then could he better organize the dao universe.
But... the dao universe seems to be newly formed, so its own rules don’t seem to be that complete...
Li Hao’s thoughts wandered back to his grand ambition of setting his dao character as the coordinates of the heavenly dao. It would be the core of the heavenly dao and the cultivation coordinates for all of Silver Moon world.
The young man looked at the void in front of him. It began bubbling like a tiny pond. This was the unique circumstance brought about by someone training the physical body dao.
Some order was beginning to develop in the dao universe, and even unique phenomena taking place. Take a certain corner elsewhere, for example. There was a lot of fire energy gathered there as it was the cultivation site of fire cultivators.
It’s still too random though. Only when the dao universe is organized can we cultivate the various daos in a methodological fashion...
Li Hao had shaken off his earlier despondency. He knew that growing stronger was the only way to respond to all issues. And now, he potentially had another way to grow stronger apart from opening dao meridians.
The spontaneous withdrawal of the people’s heart enabled him to understand that the road ahead was long for this kind of gesture. He wouldn’t win over the world in a short period of time.
Even so, Li Hao was unwilling to admit defeat.
His efforts would continue in the outside world. But since he couldn’t snare their hearts at the moment, he would entrap dao!
It was the Human Emperor who could gather the people’s heart. It was the Dao Master who could gather great dao! Since faith was difficult to obtain, he would focus on the dao heart first!
If I define the dao universe as sections and use different supernatural characters as the core of each section... If I then gather all of the great daos beneath the heavens to complete a section... would that mean that the great dao belongs to me?
The human heart was the most difficult to measure. It was much easier to assess the great dao since it was heartless. Except, it might be a gigantic undertaking. Li Hao’s head started hurting as he looked into the vast universe.
Perhaps... I should move all of the fire attributed stars into the fire area! If I organize the sections according to these categories, I’ll ultimately be able to organize the dao universe.
Li Hao took a deep breath. This endeavor would take the rest of his life, wouldn’t it?
The formation of each supernatural character dissociates it from its position in the dao universe. Perhaps I should stabilize the passageway first so that withdrawing the character from the dao universe will not move the great dao as well...
Li Hao solidified his confidence! Only with proceeding in this manner could he reign undefeated!
Since the people’s heart is hard to gather, I’ll start with the dao heart first!
Once he rounded up sufficient stars, later dao meridians might naturally convene in that section! Those who opened new attributed meridians might be naturally drawn to one point. The young man wouldn’t have to move them manually anymore.
A smile appeared on Li Hao’s face and supernatural characters appeared. Ones of the five elements, wind, thunder, light, and darkness hovered into being. They fanned out and delineated nine different sections.
He looked out over the dao universe and saw numerous stars. Those should be the dao meridians that people have already cultivated into being. I’ll focus on being a mover today and shift all of the stars from where they are. I can make use of this period in which no one else can enter the Hao Cosmos to complete my plan of gathering the dao heart!
I’m going to be the master of dao!
Once everyone’s dao converges with mine, I might be able to keep them in check and even kill them through the Hao Cosmos!
Indeed, such were Li Hao’s plans. He was thinking of possibly moving the divine spirits’ daos. It could be easier to kill them through the Hao Cosmos. With that in mind, he got to work.
The first star he came across was a water attributed star. He didn’t care whose dao meridian it was. The young man grabbed and moved it toward the water area as defined by his water supernatural character!
The star was as if a great dragon and actually resisted being dragged elsewhere. But, it couldn’t withstand Li Hao. The star was quickly hauled to its new location, yet didn’t settle down quietly in its new coordinates.
It wasn’t until Li Hao’s water character emanated some water energy which facilitated the star to absorb energy more quickly that it quieted down. It was only willing to accept its new home when there were enough benefits to doing so.
Li Hao grinned. He was supplying the star with energy at the moment, but when more water-attributed stars settled in this area, that would be when they fed energy back to him.
......
At the same time, the outside world, Skystar City.
A water supernatural looked quizzically around him and scratched his head with puzzlement. His cultivation speed seemed to have suddenly increased. Was more energy leaking out of the world?
But... he didn’t sense anything like it.
There was no deeper level of perception, just a feeling that his cultivation speed was different from moments ago. In addition, a figure appeared in his mind’s eye—Li Hao!
Was it influence from the new martial dao? The supernatural was cultivating the new dao lately, but his speed wasn’t that fast. Hence, he was uncertain what this change meant.
There were many who felt the same way on this day.
......
Li Hao worked tirelessly in the Hao Cosmos, moving around all sorts of celestial bodies. This idea had occurred to him before, but he’d felt it was too much of a hassle and didn’t want to undertake it. But this time, having been defeated by the queen of Divine Nation, he clenched his teeth and rolled up his sleeves. Since the queen was favored by the heavens, he would manipulate the great dao!
It wasn’t like he wouldn’t fight for any advantage for himself, was it?
Previously, he found himself invincible and decided that he just needed to keep opening dao meridians. But now, Li Hao discovered that the world was growing ever more stable with the more dao meridians he opened. If things continued at this pace, premier powerhouses would be able to awaken before he was strong enough to fight them.
Even if the newly revitalized was a bit weaker than him, they would be able to kill him all the same if there were enough of them. He might’ve become the ceiling of the world’s limits.
......
Everyone cultivated in the mine. The massive mine had dimmed somewhat because tens of thousands were extracting energy from it.
There was no movement from Li Hao in all this time.
Jiang Li was growing curious and ceased conversing with others. He, too, sat down to cultivate. No one stopped him from absorbing energy, which heightened his enthusiasm for this unexpected benefit of following Li Hao. There was no need to discuss anything with those New Martial antiques.
......
Everyone was opening their meridians in the pool of treasures. When they finished with the dao meridian of the physical body, they focused on other dao meridians in an exceedingly impatient fashion.
“Has anyone discovered that their dao meridians seem to be moving around?” He Yong suddenly asked.
They’d all sensed the same, but no one responded.
“And who do you think is doing it?” Yuan Shuo rolled his eyes when He Yong continued chattering. Did that question even need to be asked? Any changes in the Hao Cosmos must have something to do with Li Hao. Who knew what the kid was doing?
“Has anyone noticed that our cultivation speed seems to be a bit faster than before?” Yuan Shuo abruptly asked.
The group exchanged glances, but that sensation wasn’t as apparent.
Yuan Shuo said nothing further; he simply wondered what his student was doing now. Li Hao is moving everyone’s dao meridians around... Can he be organizing the dao universe? Surely not! That’s a monumental undertaking!
What’s he doing in the dao universe instead of reflecting over his previous defeat or thinking of ways to open more dao meridians?
......
At the moment, the young man was rather excited. More and more dao meridians were gathered in front of him.
There was a river of stars in front of him and numerous dao meridians gathered in each section. The sectors of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth were the brightest as there were many powerhouses cultivating these attributes. The others were slightly weaker.
The unattributed sector was a dull gray and the sector of the physical body a milky white. They were all clearly defined through the young man’s efforts.
He grinned at the sight in front of him. This was only the beginning and he’d simply gathered the nearby dao meridians for now. He left those in more distant locations untouched as he didn’t want to spend too much time here.
There was a massive star hovering in each sector; it was the core of the sector! Those were Li Hao’s own dao!
If I can place the dao character in the middle of the central sector... then everything will be perfect!
With the dao character in the center and all sorts of sectors around it in a neat array, it would ultimately form a dao universe with perfected rules. He really did stand a chance of becoming the Dao Master!
The divine spirits only have one dao meridian. They must be very, very strong. I just haven’t discovered their dao meridians yet. Once I do and move them here, I’ll be able to deal them a very painful blow in the next battle. I might even be able to outright blow it up in the Hao Cosmos!
He’d grown more subdued after his defeat and decided to take a lower profile before he completed his mastery over the dao universe. Once he did, he would seek out the divine spirits for a rematch.
The young man had taken another step forward on the path of becoming a Dao Master. This was thanks to the motivation provided by the Divine Nation queen.
