Lu Yin sneered as he looked over at Rong Xiang. "You certainly have a way with words, but I don't believe you at all. Just because you claim that the Sima Chamber of Commerce had nothing to do with what happened, does that make it true? What evidence do you have?"

Rong Xiang's face twisted into an ugly expression. How had things turned around that he needed to speak up for the Sima Chamber of Commerce? However, it was necessary if they wanted to kill Yue Susu.

For a moment, Rong Xiang did not know what to do.

Zhan Ming then spoke up, "Third Boss, you could simply ask the woman behind you if she or the Sima Chamber of Commerce had anything to do with what happened to Yue Cheng."

Yue Susu looked over to stare at Zhan Ming and the other men. There was no hatred in her eyes, only calmness.

Still, Yue Susu did feel a bit of gratitude towards Lu Yin, as he had saved her life.

Lu Yin sneered. "This woman is nothing more than a pawn. The one who truly controls the Sima Chamber of Commerce is Yue Ting.

"You know what, old man, you just saw everything that happened: the Sima Chamber of Commerce abandoned her at the drop of a hat. Do you really think that, if Yue Cheng’s death had anything at all to do with them, they would let her know? Or do you think that Yue Ting would continue to use his daughter as a scapegoat?"

Zhan Ming frowned. This man was exhausting to speak to. The Seraph wanted to slap this Third Boss dead.

It was clear that Lu Yin had simply come up with an excuse to save the woman. Why was he doing that? She held no value to him. The only possibility is that she knows about the relationship between the Chamber of Commerce and the Gate of Laws. If that’s true...

The Seraph looked over at Yi Shang.

After the two exchanged glances, Zhan Ming spoke again. "Third Boss, are you curious about what this woman said earlier? About the Chamber of Commerce and the Gate of Laws?

"Little girl, did you really think that my prestigious Chamber of Commerce would bother with your Sima Chamber of Commerce for just a few sequence base materials? You are backed by the Ascendant Hall. Competing with you isn’t worth it, without sufficient rewards."
