Starforce Warriors-Chapter 577: Unrivaled Dominance (2)
Chapter 577: Unrivaled Dominance (2)
Great Xia was on the verge of collapse. Who could save it? How could the hatred of the nation and personal vendettas ever be resolved?
There wasn’t even the faintest glimmer of hope in this darkest hour. Even those with the steadiest minds couldn’t help but feel lost and helpless. Snow blanketed the mountains of Taihang, obstructing the ascent. The Yellow River was frozen, sealing the crossing. Where under the vast heavens was the path forward?
The atmosphere grew oppressively quiet in an instant. Just then, a massive shadow loomed over the pedestrian street. A metallic flying battleship that was more than two kilometers in length glided through the low skies until it hovered over the area.
Ripples of silver light shimmered like water as they spread across the ship’s surface. The enormous vessel slowly emerged from its cloaked state, revealing its menacing form.
“This is...” Liu Xiao drew in a sharp breath.
There were rumors that the Yiggs, having mastered extraterrestrial technological civilizations, had developed massive interstellar spacecraft capable of leaving Earth. It was said that they could use these advanced ships to traverse oceans unscathed and cross effortlessly between continents. What had once been dismissed as mere hearsay now materialized before their very eyes.
The hearts of Yan Chiyu and the others sank. Even Ye Liuying’s face grew grave.
Moments later, a hatch on the lower right side of the battleship opened. Warriors clad in power armor emerged like a plague of locusts as they descended from the giant vessel.
No! Those weren’t power armors. They were something far more advanced: humanoid mech suits. Star Armors! The term immediately surfaced in the minds of those who were well-informed.
These legendary close-fitting armors were said to be capable of combat in outer space. This was another creation far beyond Earth’s level of technology. At the same time, the Xie family’s warriors and soldiers appeared on the ground. A flood of rebels poured into the pedestrian street, wielding specialized identification devices as they conducted a sweeping, grid-like search.
In fact, every area the heavy truck had passed through earlier was now undergoing the same intensive screening. Nothing and no one was left unchecked. The thoroughness of this search exceeded anything anyone could have imagined. Even Ye Liuying realized that certain elements of this situation had gone beyond her expectations.
Her fingers lightly tapped the table as she began formulating their next course of action. Suddenly, a commotion erupted on the street outside the restaurant.
The group turned to look. A sleek, exquisitely designed small command module was descending from the massive spacecraft. The spherical command module was pale gold, and had transparent walls that allowed a clear view of its interior.
A tall, imposing white man with strikingly handsome features stood in the center of the module. His golden hair shimmered like sunlight, as his commanding presence radiated an overwhelming aura, making him appear almost like a sun god descending on Earth.
Beside him stood two individuals from Great Xia: Xie Yunfeng, an elder of the Xie family, and his son, Xie Tianyu. These three figures were now some of the most influential figures in Lanfu Base City.
The white man, Andrew, was particularly noteworthy. As the head of the Yiggs delegation, Andrew represented the most powerful superpower on Earth, the Yiggs Union. He had made countless high-profile appearances in Lanfu Base City over the past few months, making his face well-known to many.
"Better to kill the wrong one than to let any escape," Xie Yunfeng’s voice echoed over the pedestrian street. "Arrest anyone suspicious and interrogate them thoroughly. No exceptions. If they resist, kill them on the spot."
The number of Xie family soldiers flooding in from all sides continued to grow.
“No need for such hassle,” Andrew interjected.
His Great Xia Mandarin was fluent and precise.
“Everyone on this street, as well as within a three-mile radius of the truck’s route, must be captured. Every single individual will be identified one by one.”
Andrew’s tone was cold and unyielding, leaving no room for negotiation. The heavy truck had already been intercepted. But its occupants were nowhere to be found. The Xie family’s grandiose pursuit had ultimately been outmaneuvered, their forces toyed with using the F78 abandoned well.
Andrew cared not a whit for the face of the Xie family. What truly frustrated him was the disappearance of the two sisters he sought.
Andrew’s heart seethed with unbridled fury. The mere thought of subduing the famed sisters of Great Xia under him, of forcing the noble and sacred Goddess to submit beneath him, filled him with an uncontrollable surge of excitement.
His blood seemed to boil with uncontainable fervor. He didn’t care whether the Xie family lost the trust of the people. All he wanted was to locate the sisters as quickly as possible and take them back to indulge in his twisted fantasies, no matter the cost.
Since he was growing impatient, the soldiers who had been meticulously identifying individuals suddenly changed tactics. They began indiscriminately arresting everyone on the street and in the shops along both sides.
Yan Chiyu and the others tensed immediately. Ye Liuying’s sharp brows twitched slightly. Yu Youyu noticed the subtle change in her cousin’s expression and immediately understood that Ye Liuying was making a critical decision.
At that moment, the Xie family’s armored soldiers reached the entrance of the restaurant and were about to push the door open and enter.
But just then, an unexpected turn of events unfolded. A figure suddenly leaped into the air. This person, who had been hiding in the crowd on the pedestrian street, now soared into the sky.
The figure ascended into the void step by step. Currents of air surged beneath his feet, transforming into visible ripples that bloomed like silver lotuses. He seemed slow, but in reality, he was astonishingly fast. In the blink of an eye, he had reached a height of a hundred meters and was standing level with the pale-gold command module.
“Where is Ye Liuying?” The man’s voice carried a chilling authority. “Hand her over.”
This sudden and unexpected development left Andrew, Xie Yunfeng, and Xie Tianyu momentarily stunned.
Someone is here to demand Ye Liuying from us?
“And who might you be?” Xie Yunfeng, sensing the powerful aura emanating from the man, dared not show carelessness as he asked with a frown.
“I’ve heard that the Goddess Ye was brought to Lanfu Base City’s Xie family,” the man replied calmly.
“Judging by appearances, you must be the Xie family’s higher-ups. Good. That saves me the trouble of searching further. You have ten minutes to hand over Ye Liuying. Otherwise, the Xie family will be erased from Earth.”
The man’s voice was indifferent, yet his tone carried an undeniable force. He was tall and imposing, like a spear piercing the heavens. His presence was overwhelming.
“What?” Xie Tianyu couldn’t hold back a cold laugh.
The young and impulsive man sneered at the bold proclamation. “Erased from Earth? Ha! Even the so-called Grand Commanders of Great Xia, clinging to their last breaths, wouldn’t dare utter such arrogant words. Who are you supposed to b-?”
Before Xie Tianyu could finish, a flash of sword qi streaked through the air. The energy barrier of the command module rippled momentarily, but it was too late. Xie Tianyu’s head tumbled from his neck and bounced on the floor. He died instantly.
“I’m in a hurry,” the mysterious man said impatiently. “I suggest you don’t test my patience... You have nine minutes and seven seconds.”
“My son!” Xie Yunfeng’s heart nearly stopped.
In the blink of an eye, his cherished son, the one he had placed all his hopes upon, had been killed right before his eyes. He almost coughed up blood from the sheer shock and fury.
Xie Yunfeng’s head snapped up, his gaze filled with venomous hatred as he locked eyes with the mysterious man.
“I will make you pay in blood!” He roared, his voice like the howl of a wounded beast.
“Wrong answer,” the mysterious man replied, shaking his head.
He raised his hand casually, and an overwhelming force of attraction caught Xie Yunfeng in its grip. Even with the command module’s energy barrier in place, the mysterious man effortlessly pulled Xie Yunfeng out of it.
His hand closed firmly around Xie Yunfeng’s neck.
"Where is the Goddess Ye?" The mysterious man asked again.
At this point, the hatred in Xie Yunfeng’s heart had been completely replaced by overwhelming fear. The power of the man before him was utterly terrifying. At the very least, he was of Saint level.
“S-save me...” Xie Yunfeng desperately turned to Andrew, his eyes filled with a plea for rescue.
“A Great Xia ancient martial Saint?” muttered Andrew. He did not rush to intervene. His handsome and dashing face broke into a faint, mocking smile.
He licked his lips in excitement as he said, “I thought you so-called Saints of Great Xia’s ancient martial lineage were nearly extinct. The ones who escaped slaughter should have long since hidden themselves in rat holes, trembling in fear and too terrified to ever emerge. But here you are... Heh, what a delightful surprise. A Saint’s head from Great Xia will fetch quite a price at the Star Council.”
On the other side, the mysterious man’s expression darkened, and a deadly aura emanated from him.
“A Yiggs mongrel... deserves death.”
The mysterious man waved his other hand. A crimson streak of sword light slashed through the air with the speed of lightning and the force of thunder.
Before Andrew could react, a chill spread through his chest. Looking down, he saw a sword hole directly over his heart. A frosty aura emanated from the wound, as faint white ice crystals swirled around it. His life force began to collapse rapidly until it faded into nothingness.
He opened his mouth to speak.
"Who... who are you...?"
Andrew had never encountered an enemy this terrifying. He couldn’t believe it. Despite having fully purified his dragon bloodline, he had failed to withstand even a single strike from this man’s sword.
Could Great Xia still harbor such a monstrous warrior?
But the mysterious man didn’t spare him another glance. Andrew’s words faded into silence as the light in his eyes dimmed.
Boom!
An indescribable and terrifying aura of oppression erupted from the mysterious man. The pressure radiated outward like a tidal wave of dominance.
In the blink of an eye, more than half of Lanfu Base City, a region hundreds of kilometers long, was engulfed in this apocalyptic presence. It was as if the wrath of a god or demon had descended upon the world.
All living beings trembled in fear. The skies darkened, and the winds howled in turmoil. At that moment, every martial artist in the city felt the suffocating weight of this overwhelming energy.
“Xie family patriarch, get out here!”
The mysterious man’s voice echoed through the heavens like divine retribution.
“Hand over Ye Liuying or the Xie family will be exterminated to the last!”
His voice boomed like thunder, reverberating across the land. The clouds churned and dispersed as visible waves of energy surged in the sky, forming tsunamis of air that crashed upon each other. Everyone was stunned, frozen in disbelief.
Inside the restaurant below, Yan Chiyu suddenly shuddered, her body trembling involuntarily.
“It’s him.”
The eyes of the former captain of the Red Flag High School battle team, a stunning beauty with striking phoenix-shaped eyes, lit up with incredulous joy. She recognized him.
At the same time, Ye Liuying, whose eternally calm and flawless face rarely betrayed emotion, also showed a hint of surprise. She, too, recognized the mysterious man. But it was precisely because she recognized him that her astonishment deepened.
She had always known him to be a martial prodigy. Yet she had never imagined that in less than two years, the boy who had not even reached the Five Spirits Realm could become this powerful.
A Saint? No. This is likely power surpassing that of a Saint, perhaps even the strength of a Great Saint.
The world seemed to turn upside down. The terrifying oppressive aura sent the entire base city into panic. One man’s voice had reverberated across three hundred miles. The sheer magnitude of his presence left the city trembling. Within the Xie family’s estate, the patriarch, who had been meditating and recuperating, was instantly alarmed.
The Xie family patriarch rose to his feet as he turned toward B235 Pedestrian Street.
The voice had come from there. Who could it possibly be? Such an imposing presence; has one of the Grand Commanders personally arrived?
His heart filled with uncertainty and apprehension.
“Someone, come!” He shouted, “Quickly, summon the Old Ancestor from seclusion!”
“Yes, sir.”
From the shadows, the family’s hidden shadow guards immediately sprang into action. The Xie family patriarch shot into the sky, transforming into a streak of light as he raced toward the scene.
“Which esteemed senior has graced us with their presence?”
He hovered above the B235 district and examined the mysterious man.
“I am the current head of the Xie family,” he said, his tone respectful despite his immense authority as the King of the Northwest. “I greet you, senior. Let us talk this through calmly. Perhaps there is some misunderstanding between us.”
Faced with such a terrifying adversary, the Xie family patriarch, though considered a ruler in his own right, was forced to temper his tone. He had no desire to provoke this absurdly powerful Great Saint if it could be avoided
