That was careless.

"Still not cautious enough. What if something had happened and I wasn't even ready?"

With a serious look, Syd summoned the black stone artifact from his dimensional ring.

Holding it in his hand, he began channeling light energy into it.

Soon, the black stone began to radiate a dense black light, and strange, familiar energy began to ripple outward.

Something unexpected happened.

He didn't feel the usual pulling sensation.
